Should I buy a laptop from Lamington Road?
Don't buy laptop from lamigton road. You are paying valuable money in buying laptop and if you not get what you want then we get scared because some else one cheated with you.I almost go to 10–15 shops for the price quotation, and in some shops told me the much lower price & some told me average price of the same model. In case of shops where price quoted is much lower then questions comes in mind what profit they will get by selling at much lower price to me. In shops having average price I ask them I am getting quotation at less price from some other shops, they clarify that they will cheat with you by giving different specification of laptop having same model. And I ask about the box which they will open in my front na. He replied that, I can also repack the laptop by changing some hardware parts in the box & packed like no one can come to know whether it's new or refurbished one. Now I also get confused if he is telling me I can also packed the laptop then why not he will cheat with me. So I decided not to buy laptop from any shops.If you really wanted to buy and having some person having good knowledge about computer hardware then only buy otherwise not. Normal person knowledge is limited upto the specification of the product shown online. There is much more than that like how many core? Processor clock speed? How many cpu are there? Ram frequency ?? Which Graphics ?So I finally conclude avoid it to buy laptop at lamigton it will only give you headache only and waste of time go for online HP site or order online like Amazon's, Flipkart. I dont know the best data recovery service provider but I know that this process is very painful.I recently reached out to datarecoverymumbai aka sai sales service located in lamington road.I found free inspection on their website so called them but as soon as I handed over my hdd I realized that I made a mistake.First they told hdd head is damaged and it will cost 18k when i said I want my disk back, I got call from some lady named bobby that we can still recover your data if you want partial recovery. I gave them folder names and then they said it will cost 6k. I knew at this point if I ask my hdd back they will either not return it or will damage the data so I paid them and got some of my data but later I came to know that if i need my source hdd then I need to pay 2k more.This was not expected and they never said that earlier but when i started aruguing they said it is written on the challan in in very small fonts like tnc.So anyone who is going for data recovery please clear few things before like what if i dont want to recover data when will I get my hdd back, what if data is recovered and I want my source hdd also.It is better if you go onsite during data inspection no matter how much they say it will take some time, take appointment ask them for ETA and then decide.
