Can Excessive Urination By A Person Be Harmful

Why does the body urinate more when someone is sick?

It actually doesn't always do this depending on illness, however, often a high volume of urine can be a sign of renal stress. Depending on what you are sick with, renal stess can be indicative of any number of ailments. From early onset of type two diabetes to more serious infections like influenza.*clarification- renal stress is not an official diagnosis. Merely a description used to indicate any number of ailments or issues that may be stressing or harming the kidneys which may or may not be causing them to produce more or less urine. I am not an MD, merely a guy who loves to learn and tries to source as accurately as possible in my own words. As with all things you read on the Internet always double and triple check your facts with credible sources if possible!

Frequent urination. Can it be stress?

Hi, for the past 3 years or so I've found myself urinating quite excessively. Perhaps every hour or so, depending obviously on my fluid intake. I have to get up around 2/3 times in the night most times. I drink quite a lot, but the volume of urine passed each time is very small. Maybe 3-5 seconds and I'm done. No pain.

I went to a doctor last week and ahd a urine sample. She told me there was no sign of any kidney trouble or any other disease or medical condition. She believes it's just force of habit and caused by stress. I find this very hard to believe. I don't think I've been stressed out and I have a strong feeling that it is physical. I asked about a blood test, so I'm going to do that this week. She seemed pretty adamant that it was psychological.

How accurate are urine tests for medical conditions? Does it rule out diabetes, prostrate issues?

What does frequent urination indicates, is it harmful?

Frequent urination or increase in frequency of urination can be due to many causes including Urinary tract infections , Diabetes mellitus, Diabetes insipidus etc. To differentiate amongst these conditions and ,to get proper treatment , thorough history, physical examination and relevant investigations will be needed. So, please visit your physician soon.

What could cause this kind of frequent urination?

It MIGHT be diabetes related, in that diabetes can be adult onset, so it can start somewhat suddenly, as you explain. One symptom of diabetes is frequent urination (as well as frequent thirst). It might not be full diabetes, but pre-diabetes, or borderline. At least, that's what it is with me.

On the one hand, you can kind of test yourself by trying different kinds of food (mainly protein) and seeing how frequently you urinate, versus how frequently you urinate on an otherwise empty stomach - if you pee a lot more on an empty stomach, versus mainly protein, then your urination is influenced by the type of food you eat, which might signal a diabetes connection. You should drink the same amount both with the food and without. I pee a LOT more without food. Or you can get the standard diabetes blood sugar test, asking the doctor if you're borderline.

On the other hand, your urination seems a lot more than even diabetes could explain. If you're male, I'd totally go with something related to UTI - I actually had one a couple of years ago, I ignored it, it got into my prostate (you need a separate exam for this, it won't show up on a standard pee test), and I would go from feeling the need to pee to unable to hold it in about 5 minutes. My urologist figured it out, I had some unusual treatments for 2 months, it cleared, and now I'm just back to the normal frequent urination of borderline diabetics.

A possible way to tell the difference - without the prostate infection, I pee a lot less frequently when I'm standing. In fact, when I'm standing (I teach), I can go for hours without hitting the bathroom, but when sitting, I might go every 20-30 minutes (10-15 minutes without food). With the prostate infection, it didn't matter standing or sitting.

What is the best treatment for dizziness and frequent urination?

A doctor’s appointment is what you need. What you are describing are symptoms. Symptoms are visible effects of something else that could be dangerous.A doctor would be able to help you better than random Internet people.Urinating a lot could be caused by something life threatening. You should take this seriously.

Is frequent urination good or bad for the bladder?

It depends. If you are drinking a lot of water while maintaining a healthy balance of electrolytes it’s good. Drinking enough fluids prevents bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder. If not, that could be a sign of other issues. If you are urinating frequently you could either have:A urinary tract infection (bad for the bladder and the rest of the body if left untreated)DiabetesDiabetes Insipidus: this is actually different from regular diabetes and causes a person to frequently urinate despite having no infection or fluids. Often their urine will be clear, while a regular person will have darker urine without drinking. Certain medications may help and a urologist needs to be seen.Diuretics: this can be bad if used inappropriately and may cause an electrolyte imbalance. Normal diuretics are fine like coffee as long as they are not over consumed. A lot of weight loss companies will also market these pills for bloating which I would advise against. Diuretics can also be used medically for treating hypertension or be a side effect of certain medications.

Frequent urination after masturbating?

Since this sensation is only following an ejaculation (and then only some of the time)... I don't think you are likely to have anything major to worry about.

There is probably a sense of "fullness"; secondary to some ejaculate left yet in the urethra and there is significant engorement associated with the process... leading to this sensation.

Just urinate following the ejaculation (if you can). Then don't worry about it...the sensation should resolve shortly. IF, you have the sensation you have to urinate (not associated with an ejaculation)...you could have a urinary tract infection or prostatitis. If you are urinating is small frequent amounts not associated with a recent ejaculation... then you should follow up with your doctor.

It would be helpful to know your age...as 45 and up guys... tend to have prostate enlargement that could cause this symptom. Of course a disturbance in flow related to prostate enlargement deserves to be understood...prostate cancer can begin in the 40's and up.

If you sense something is really wrong... you should just go to a urologist. That will give you piece of mind and they can go over all the things you should understand for "men's health" issues.

There are a number of screening tests the physician can do to narrow down the etiology.

Is Urinary Tract infection is caused by Masturbation??
