Should my dad be examining my vagina ( i'm 15)?
You are definitely right. Has he already checked you out? Don't do it if he hasn't yet and you are not comfortable. Request to go to the doctors and have a woman look at it. I totally understand what you are saying. He is a man and he is your father. That makes it like twice as embarrassing.
Is it ok for a dad to examine his 5 and 9 year old daughters vagina along with their 8 and 12 yr old cousins?
My fiance's ex husband gets to see his daughters (6 and 10) on alternate weekends. Just recently the girls spoke out claiming that they were all vaginal inspected one by one, now my girlfriend is scared to let the girls stay over his house. From what I understand, this is not the first time this has happened. He claims he was making sure they weren't being molested when left at their grandma for babysitting. There's a couple of uncles that stay at grandma's house. I ask this question because I find it inappropriate and mind blowing to ask your daughters and their cousins to spread them open... mind boggling. I believe if he had any doubts, the girls should have been examined by their mother or a doctor. I have a son all grown up now and I could never imagine myself behaving this way.. what do you think?

Okay. So, I am 18 years old, female. A couple of days ago one of my neighbors got diagnosed with breast cancer and had a operation to remove it(small tumor). She came back home all pale, sick, and with a huge bandage around her chest. I dont know if it was just the pain she was in or the medication. But anyways back to the topic, my father go kind of freaked out. He is very over protective of me and loves me very much. He started asking me questions if I do self breast examinations and check down their for any infections. Being my immature self I found this subject with him very funny. But as the day progressed he started searching online and youtube about all the possible diseases that affect women and well yeah, he got kind of worried. So, he asked me questions again like: what color is it? does it smell?does it hurt? Self hygiene? Irritation and so on. Well, I dont really usually check down there or my breasts, so I told him I dont know. So long story short I let him give me an examination. He did see me naked. He just seemed very analytic and asked questions the whole time. I guess I had a bruise near my left breast (probably from working out) He got kind of worried when i told it hurts near there. Since he is not a girl he went to my grandmother for advice (my mother is not with us). My grandmother I guess found it wrong he was touching me. Started yelling at him no father should do that to a daughter and yada yada. She told me I was wrong in letting him examine me. I didnt really find it wrong, I mean cmon he is MY FATHER!!! He doesnt think of me that way, no way, he is very respectful and we are very open about sex and stuff. But I tried searching up this same question online and got a lot of articles about molestation and stuff. I know I wasn't molested!!! But I wonder if I should keep more boundaries between my father and me. Like was it really really bad and wrong that I let him examine me? Sorry for the long story, just that I have to explain it all otherwise you wouldn't understand. And yeah I could have gone to the doctor but they always make me do a co-payment and it would take a like a month to set up the appointment. Kaiser's next available appt. would be till March 23!!! Yes that is standard procedure. Up until she is fully grown, the genitals will have to be checked regularly to ensure that there are no growth issues down there. Her dad just left the room so it wouldn't be so it wouldn't be awkward. Parents are generally asked to leave the room, but can stay if they want to.

I would ask her best friends mom to have a visit with her. Or maybe her favorite female teacher or the school nurse. I would also let the Dr's. office know this is her first visit. Since she is so young, I have to assume that she is being sent for a medical reason, so the referring physician should have talked to her and told her everything she needs to know.

We talked about our family and I asked if she had met my father. She hadn’t, but told me she’d heard her grandparents - my father’s aunt and uncle - talk about him and express the opinion that my father was “gay”. I laughed in disbelief, because unless he’s very deeply closeted bisexual and experiencing self-hatred… and she backtracked, then explained.Apparently, in Canada at the time - some decades ago was the last time they’d seen him - “gay” was used as slang for odd or “unnatural” behavior in general, not necessarily sexual preference. He was clearly not gay in that sense.So apparently being a narcissistic sociopath is what he actually was, so he’s not gay, just “gay” according to his aunt and uncle, at the time they said it.Sorry if this is a weird answer.
How can I persuade my dad to get me kittens?
Has your dad seen the kittens, or at least photos of them? If your mom really wants them too, she should spend some time convincing him. Let him know that the three of you will take care of them, and he won't need to worry about feeding, cleaning the litter box, etc. Maybe find out why he is so against cats. He is worried that they'll tear the house apart? Make sure you get them scratching posts and trim their nails (I wouldn't declaw, apparently it's very painful for the kitties). Is he worried about the bills? Show him that you're willing to help pay for the kitties by maybe doing some extra chores or small jobs - delivering papers, etc.? Is it the smell? Keep the litter box spotless...or you could teach them to use the toilet! Is it because he doesn't like cats? Show him that cats can be friendly too, and well behaved. Let him know you will spend lots of time with the kittens so they are very social. Honestly, I think his rule sounds a little silly. My husband would never even think to say that he's the "King of the house" because I would just laugh. Your home shouldn't be a dictatorship. But I can see your Dad's concern because cats are a long term commitment...they can live for 16-20 years. They are only kittens for 1 year. As long as you know this, and are committed to take care of them as adult cats as well, you are probably ready (money is important too, though). Good luck and hope you get your little darlings!
