If you're under 18, how do you check into a hotel?

Can you check into a hotel if you're under 18 ?

So my friend and i are 15 now but when we go to Disney world we will be 16.
Our parents aren't able to come and we are staying at a hotel that belongs to Disney,
Now since our parents wont be in Florida and we need a place to stay will we be able to check in, will they ask for i.d and couldn't they just get permission from our parents?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, i have never been there and i just need to know.
And also i have an 20 year old friend that lives in florida, could he check us in? thanks .

Can you check into a hotel if you're under 18?

As long as you can pay your bill they wont care. It might mean paying for at least some of the projected bill up-front, but hotels will always try to accommodate all guests.

What can I, a minor, do to check into a hotel?

You may have a hard time.In California the law basically says that as a hotel you are not able to turn a person away if they have all of the requisite items needed to check in regardless of age. The catch though is that the hotel can require a waiver to be signed by your parents and the hotel is in fact able to require that your parents be present to fill it out. Here's the other problem: Many hotel employees aren't aware of this, and that sometimes includes managers as well. What I would do is get on this now and enlist the help of your parents. Call the hotels (or better yet have them call the hotels) you're thinking about and speak with their managers. Communication is going to be your best friend here. You want to make sure that you aren't going to have any issues because if you do, you're going to have a hell of a time finding another room.Honestly, depending how low your budget is you may not be able to afford a room in San Diego during Comic Con as they all get pretty pricey.

17 Year Old Check Into Hotel?

You might be able to get away with it but it's not likely, and it's definitely not allowed under hotel policy. All hotels require guests to be at least 18. Some even require 21. If you're under 18, you cannot stay in the hotel by yourself. You have to be with at least 1 adult. It's strictly a liability thing. Because you're a minor, the hotel can't hold you liable for your actions like they can an adult and if you do something stupid or get hurt on their property they are very vulnerable to legal action.

Anyway, when you check into a hotel they will ask you to present whatever credit/debit card the room was reserved on (if you didn't give them one yet, they will ask for it now) as well as a photo ID. The credit/debit card has to be YOURS, it cannot be your parents' or anybody else's. The person whose name is on the credit/debit card is the only one who can check into the room and they must be 18 or 21 depending on the hotel. So perhaps your parents could check you in and then just leave, but you would be breaking the rules and I imagine the hotel would kick you out if they found out.

Can I check into a hotel in New York if I am 18?

It depends on the hotel, policies vary. Some require you to be 21, some 18. At our property, our minimum age is 18. If you are between 18 and 21, we require valid government ID for EVERYONE who will be staying in the room, and if we have any reason to believe that any underage drinking is going on in the room (if we see beer being brought in or out, for instance, r if any occupants are obviously intoxicated), then all room occupants will be asked to leave the premises with no refund.

Can you check in at a hotel if you are 18 years old?

It depends on the country, and on the hotel. In the US, many hotels require at least one guest in the party to be 21 years old or older. Partially this has to do with alcohol laws: most states in the US restrict the sale of alcohol to people 21 or older, and a growing number of hotels have alcohol for sale. The other reason, which is less often mentioned, is that guests younger than 21 are more likely to damage the room and its contents, steal, make a lot of noise, or disturb other guests. If you are interested in possibly staying at a specific hotel, or at any hotel in an area, the best bet is to call ahead and ask the hotel directly what their age requirements are, prior to booking a reservation.

Can i live in hotel under 18?

lol you are not going to LIVE in a hotel if you are just on vacation.

anyways...
most hotels require that at least one person in each room rented is 18+. that person would have to book, check in, and stay in the room.
you don't all have to be 18+ so yes you can stay.
SOME hotels require at least one person in each room rented to be 21+ so just be sure you stay away from those hotels.
i suggest doing your research so you know what hotels you can stay in and what ones you cannot stay in.

Can I check into a hotel in Malaysia if the check-in is under my name when I'm actually only 19 and not yet 21?

If you have a credit card in your name and your passport, I cannot imagine that they will care much about your age. It might only become an issue — and even then I doubt it — if you don’t have a credit card and intend to pay in cash or with a debit card. But I’m no expert on Malaysian law so if you are really worried, call or email the hotel and ask.
