Can I Get In Trouble With The Law For Something I Didn

I got arrested for something i didn't do?

You should retain a lawyer as soon as possible.

You made a number of mistakes in dealing with the cop; several other people here have already enumerated them so I won't repeat them.

If you're truly innocent then you can hope that the lawyer can get the theft charge dismissed, because the other charge is just an add-on to that.

The district attorney's office will pile as many charges on you as he can think of in order to try and get you to plea-bargain to one or two of them. I figure you'll get as serious a theft charge as they can come up with, resisting arrest, fleeing the scene of a crime, and failure to provide proper identification to a law enforcement official, and that's just for starters.

They can spend lots of time, money, and legal expertise to prosecute you; your only hope is to have someone who has some expertise on your side. Get an attorney.

Can I get in trouble for ding dong ditching??

Okay so a couple days ago my buddies and I ding dong ditched a guys house and long story short he found us and followed us for a good half hour in his car. We didn't break any traffic laws driving away from him. We eventually got pulled over by the police where they searched our names and we apologized to the guy who seemed cool but who was obviously pretty mad at us. I'm just wondering if like a police report will come out or something like that where the guy can see our names and like where we live or something like that??? Thank you

Can you get in trouble for letting somebody commit suicide?

I am not in a situation like this; I am just curious.

In a hypothetical situation, let's say that your friend tells you that they are going to kill themselves. If you knew that they were serious and let them kill themselves, would you get in trouble with the law?

I am not talking about enabling suicide (ie, supplying the person with pills to overdose on), but if someone came to you and told you that they were going to kill themselves, and you just let them do it.

Can you get into trouble with the law for putting shaving cream on a car?

the only way to answer this would be to ask why you are putting shaving cream on a car. If you thought you might give it a shave then I don't think you would get into trouble. But you might be put away. If you are doing this as a prank and get caught then you might get into trouble, but it's not like your keying the car or flattening the tires. So I don't think you could get into too much trouble. As shaving cream having chemicals in them that might hurt the finish, I don't think so and the only thing it might do is make it cleaner where the cream was put. You also didn't say how much shaving cream was put on the car. If you made it look like a hostess snow ball then someone is going to be upset. But in the end I can think of a lot worse things you could do to a car. And the law is not going to put you into jail for it.

Can you get in trouble for being with someone when they stole from walmart?

If you didn't steal anything and didn't help anyone break the law, then you have committed no crime and can't get in trouble for the actions of someone else.

Yes, the thief could tell the cops that you were with him, and then they would probably try to question you. If you were smart, you wouldn't answer their questions (never, ever talk to the police) and they would have no legal justification to arrest you since there would be no evidence.

If they told their parents that you told him to steal it, that *could* be an accessory to the crime. However, no prosecutor is going to take the case against you for it. If someone tells you to break the law and you do, it's on you to refuse to act illegally - not them.

I got a happy ending. Can i get in legal trouble for it?

Ok so I went to a massage parlor and needless to say the lady massaging me started to touch a little more personal. I did not offer any tip, ask, or request anything. She just flat out did it. Can one get in legal trouble for this? As in if there were a police sting for suspected activity at the parlor can the person there getting the massage get arrested as well? I think you get what I am asking. I know it was morally wrong and I wont do it again, but I am curious as to what can happen to the reciepient not the giver.

Is it illegal to quote someone on something they didn't say?

@badmofaux: i never had any intention of doing so. i just wanted to clarify it. anyway, i didn't mean deliberate, i meant in general. sort of like when someone purchases stolen merchandise without knowing it's stolen. they're still going to be fined. it's happened to a couple people i know and a couple friends of friends that i've been told about.
