How athletic do I need to be to play Division 1 Football?

You have to be very athletic. The easiest way to tell is to look around at your high school team and compare yourself to you and the teams you play against: Are you consistently the best or at least one of the best players on the field?Unless your team is an elite state powerhouse, it’s very rare that more than 3–5 players from a single high school get D-I scholarship offers from anybody. So if the answer isn’t “oh yeah, I’m often the best player on the field”, then you’re likely not athletic enough. However, if you really are dedicated in your goal to play football in college, you might want to look into a smaller school in Division II or Division III. The talent required is still greater than high school obviously but the gap isn’t nearly as big.

Do I have a chance to play division 1 college football?

If you have to ask, then no.

But if you have the heart and believe you can, then yes. Playing Div I football is not just about being an athlete. It is about being a smart athlete that has faith in his abilities and also the heart to get more out of yourself than you ever have.
Coaches yell at you more, teammates rely on you more and you have to be able to fulfill the requirements.

I played corner for a Major school. My first play I was burned for 40 yards. My coach asked me why and I told him. He said I have to have to have the shortest memory ever in the history of time, or I would never make it. Thinking back to being burned on one play never allowed me to play at my "A" game. after halftime I had 6 tackles, 1 sack and 1 INT. Coach asked me in the 4th quarter about the play I had been burned on. I said What play?

Get excellent grades, stay in the gym and you will reach your goals. Just never depend on an answer board to decide your fate in life. Hopefully your next question will be "How many of you will come see me when I start at "insert school here"?

Can i play division 1 football as a community college transfer?

I was originally going to play d3 football at this one school and try to transfer d1 after a year but after researching i found out i would have to sit out a year if i was eligible to play for the d1 school. So i'm now going to a community college to get my gpa high enough to transfer to the d1 school. would i still have to sit out a year, and how would i go about getting interest from the d1 school? any help is much appreciated!

Women PLAYING NCAA football?

Yes, I do think you have what it takes, based on your fire, determination, and will to play. I highly encourage you to play Division 1 College Football. There is nothing wrong with a girl/woman playing for a Division 1 College Football program.

What you need to do this (and every) summer is eat healthy, and exercise by doing a lot of running every day. If you do these two things, you will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful college football player.

Next year I will start playing division 1 football. What can I do to increase my chances of playing in the NFL?

I was lucky enough to play high school football with Ryan Baker. He went on to play in the NFL for a few years as a defensive lineman. My younger brother played high school ball with Zack Martin, who is now an all-pro offensive lineman with the Dallas Cowboys. My point is that I have seen a few guys at the high school level who made it to the NFL. I also played with a few others who were just as physically capable as these individuals, but didn’t make it.So, how do you maximize your chances of making it?The most basic answer is that you need to focus on your body. You need to put in the work to maximize your athleticism. Your actions in the weight room, running drills, and even what you eat will all have an effect on your ability to succeed. All of this is a basic requirement. The NFL only takes top athletes, and if you don’t put in the work, you won’t be one. There is, of course, another aspect of training, as well. You need to put in the mental work. Obviously you need to know your position assignments. Know what your responsibilities are. Then, figure out why those are your responsibilities. Your ability to see where you fit into the big picture will help to determine how well you are able to adapt on the fly, and fit multiple roles. This will help you succeed at the college level, which is necessary to make it to the NFL. In addition, it will make you more attractive to NFL teams because they love adaptability. If you can perform multiple functions, then you are valuable, even if you are low on the depth chart. My last piece of advice is a word of caution. Don’t let yourself get pigeonholed into a position with no future. You want to be coachable and a team player. You want to be able to do lots of different things. But, if you get moved from tight end to fullback, your NFL dreams are probably screwed. Or, you could get stuck playing for four years behind a future NFL hall of famer, like The Rock did. If you never get to see the field, you probably won’t make it to the NFL.
