Is it bad to smoke weed while taking lexapro?
I have been considering starting to smoke again It has been about two years since I last smoked and in that time I have been taking lexapro for anxiety and depression. I'm worried about smoking bud because I don't know how it will react with the lexapro the last thing I want is to be more anxious I just want to know if I can still get that old high I used to without getting anxious
Lexapro and Smoking pot?
I m 16, I started taking Lexapro 2 months ago because of social depression, I personally don t think I need it but my mom thinks I do, since I started taking it, I don t notice any difference what so ever, it doesn t even give my dizziness or headaches or any other common side effects of lexapro. But I am thinking about smoking weed for my first time and I m a little nervous about taking it while I m on lexapro. I ve looked up my answers saying lexapro doesn t effect smoking weed but I have also seen say that people get reactions and attacks and very high heart rates when mixing the 2 and I can t have that happen to me. I am taking a 20mg pill of lexapro and and I also think I should just drop it but I m nervous about that too because I might have problems from dropping it. A lot of people said that a bad reaction mixing the 2 is just from panicking and getting a panic attack, I don t get panic attacks but I don t wanna take any chances. Can I drop the Lexapro and not have any problems since I just started it? Can I smoke the weed and not have problems since I don t get panic attacks? Please please please help me! Thanks

yeah you can smoke pot, ive been on an ssri for 10 years and never had a problem, the only thing i find is that your sensitivity might be off, some days i can smoke a whole bag other days one puff and im done. if you drink alcohol you may notice that you get drunk a lot quicker, i have 3 drinks and im good for the night!! lol. hope this helps :)
Does weed cause anxiety?
I have anxiety too and weed does not help me. But it could help you, because it affects everyone in a different way. From personal experience, I have found that alcohol neutralize almost all my anxiety. I completly forget about it or when I think of it, I find it rediculous. Weed most probably wont help, because it makes you think a lot, and thats precisely what you want to avoid when facing anxiety.
