Can a doctor/surgeon have a tattoo?

Surgical tech with tattoos?

There isn't a national policy on tattoos. Many hospitals require them to be covered. If you can't cover them, you can't have a job there. Make-up won't work since you need to be washing your hands so frequently.

You might end up needing to laser the hand tattoo since it wil be impossible to cover. However, some surgery centers are lenient about it since the patient is never awake when you encounter them.

Can surgeons/doctors have tattoos?

So my dream job is to be a Heart/Brain Surgeon, (haven't decided yet.), Or a Obstetrician Doctor. BUT for my 18th birthday, I plan to get tatted up. Like, the side of my body, my back, and my arms. Not really much of sleeves, but i'm still thinking about it. I'm definitely not getting my neck. I just want to know would it be okay for a doctor to have tattoos everywhere like me? Or is it "illegal"? Please let me know! Thanks :)

Can someone be a doctor if he has a tattoo?

FACT: tattoos do not determine abilities or knowledge, so, from a technical approach, somebody with a tattoo (or many tattoos, even) can be whatever they want provided they meet the physical/mental demands.MYTH: people with tattoos are potentially ill equipped for any position demanding any real physical or mental strain.Unfortunate reality: because the MYTH is perpetuated by a vast majority of the US society (and many other countries’ societies, as well), whether or not a person is physically/mentally fit to fulfill a role DOES NOT guarantee that they will (1) be taken seriously by others or (2) find employment. It’s narrow-minded and ridiculous and, quite frankly, a mindset that should’ve been done away with LONG ago, but we don’t get to decide how others think/feel; we can only decide how we think/feel and define ourselves in the space where the two meet.

Can I get a tattoo over my back surgery scar?

I got surgery on my back for scoliosis (not where they correct it and put a rod in, a different kind) on August 5,2007 so its been a little over a year

It left me with about an 8inch scar down the exact middle of my back down my spine

Can I get a tattoo over it?? I have a tattoo already so I know how it feels but do u think it'll hurt 10x worse since its on my spine and on a scar??

Surgical Tech with tattoo

If you want to get a tattoo, get it in a place that won't show when wearing normal clothes. Any prejudice from a tattoo could be very subtle and hard to detect to say nothing of proving. In all honesty the person you're talking to may not even be aware s/he is being influences by a tattoo. It could indeed hurt your chances. Even the military these days are banning tattoos that show.

Can you get a tattoo after ablation heart surgery?

There is no connection between the kind of cardiac problems she has and getting a tattoo. As long as her rhythm is normal, she can do everyday things. The only concern is that the tattoo artist is really careful about sterilizing their instruments. People have gotten Hepatitis from tattoos and your friend has medical issues and the last thing she needs is contracting a serious disease. It would be very overwhelming health-wise.
