Can I Still Play Ncaa Football

Can you play college football with little to none prior football experience?

Some people can and have done just that. One of the best examples is Jimmy Graham. He was a scholarship basketball player for the University of Miami, completed his basketball eligibility, then played tight end for the Hurricane football team for one season as a graduate student. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2010 NFL draft. After a quiet rookie season, Graham broke out in 2011 with 99 receptions, 1300 yards, and 11 touchdowns. That season resulted in his first of five trips to the NFL Pro-Bowl.Of course, there is no doubt that his accomplishments in the NFL were aided by the facts that he is 6′6″ tall, weighs 260 pounds, and can run faster than 90% of the population. He also has a vertical leap in excess of three feet!Lack of previous football experience is not a career killer as long as you are a freak physical specimen and talented athlete.

Would I still be eligible for college football if I play semi pro in highschool?

Eligibility is a really tricky issue. Here is what I have found...Professional Player as Team Member. Prior to any player being enrolled in the NCAA, the player is eligible to play on a professional team, provided the player is not being paid to play. They are not allowed to sign any sort of contract as well. Even though this doesn’t affect most of the teams, it may affect some of the players. As of right now, high school players can play on a professional team, but NCAA players (with remaining eligibility) are NOT allowed to play on professional team with professionals and this applies to all divisions. With that said college players are still allowed to play against professional players/teams.     (http://www.wpsl.info/DATA/upload...) This was in answer to a soccer question, but I do not think that NCAA rules vary by sport. Also this...The NCAA Eligibility Center is where you can go to appeal any negative decision concerning your eligibility. That means if you are ruled as ineligible (partially or completely), you can argue your specific case. The NCAA has been fairly lenient, IMO, in the appeals process to those who are willing to go through it.  I believe you are good-to-go, Myles, but check with the coach, at the college you wish to attend and play. He/she will have an answer in no time. Good luck, and thanks for asking.

If you play 2 years of semi pro football can I still play college ball?

I'm going to a community college next year, and they don't have a football team so I've decided to play semi pro instead. But when I transfer to Bridgewater state (D3) will I still be able to play for there college team after my 2 years of semi pro?

Is 22 years too old to start playing college football?

Well, it's not very realistic, but it's not impossible. If you work really hard, you can do it.

23 years old and want to play college football. Am I too old?

I'm 23 years old and I have been thinking about playing college football. I am wondering am I too old? Should I start off at a junior college in Long Island or should I just train and be a walk-on on a DIV1 school. I'm really dedicated into doing this. I'm 6ft even and 215lbs. Any suggestions? What position would be good for me? I have a lot of power/strength.

My friend was just accepted to the Colts (Vick Ballard from MSU) and my cousin plays for the Saints (Marques Colston #12).

If i played semi pro football can i still play college football?

Yes, if you were not paid to play semi-pro football, then you are still eligible to play college football. If you have never previously enrolled at a college, then you will still have 4 years of eligibility, and be considered as a freshman.

Keep in mind, you can only lose years of eligibility if you have previously college enrollment.
