Can I Study In California Alone While Im 16

Can a 16-year-old girl live alone in Korea and study at an international school?

At your own risk. You should know that there are so much shameful things happening in Korean society, besides the crimes. If you don’t have money, then people will exploit on you if you have to earn some.If you have a lot of money, then people will exploit on you to take your possession away.

Can a 15 year old go to America alone to study with his parents' permission?

Yes, you can. I moved to the States by myself when I was 13. However, you need a school that will sponsor you. That is, they will be responsible for you while you stay in the US, plus they should have dorms or you will need a family to sponsor you as well. I was living with an aunt. You cannot rent an apartment as you are a minor. I would advise to contact the US Embassy in your country and find out what you need for them to provide your student visa.

Portugal Education and Life?

Because you're speaking of your future, I'll be honest: stay away from Portugal. Some colleges/universities are great and some are not that great at all, that's not the point. The point is education has been on a politically oriented downward trend and quite often professors find themselves forced to give their students (at least to those who care and have finally more or less understood that it takes work to do something!) extra lessons so they'll learn what they should have learned while in high school. I believe that university education already suffers from that lack of quality and therefore graduates are ill prepared for life. Another point is that Portugal has lived its own crisis (way before this international crisis ever came to existence) for long and I don't see that it will ever improve, not before all current politicians are replaced, at least - and if you think that they'll have to be replaced by the newer generations, the future seems really bleak. I could digress about the Portuguese chronical faults as well, but every people has teir problems and I don't think I have to go into that. I know that other answerers will say I'm too pessimistic, some may say that I speak this way because I'm a teacher and every teacher in Portugal is awful and so forth, they'll tell you just how great it all is in Portugal. But I'm not playing with your life. So, my sound advice is: come on vacations. Or live here if you have a lot of wealth. Good luck, whatever you decide!

PS - I knew I was going to get thumbs down from all the fake nationalists that people this God forsaken selfish, envious country. I can't blame The Padre for having a sugar candy coated image of Portugal, I can certainly understand that. But I just want to say that I never ever said Portuguese universities were no good... I simply said there is good and bad. And state universities are, in fact, much better than private ones and certainly much less costly too. They're just undergoing problems related to the fact that they're ill financed by the government(s).

PS2 - You may as well ignore washerl for he's a blind partisan of the current government (so, who has political issues?). But it just so happens that I didn't say anything to single out this one government in any way.

In California Can a 19 year old with a drivers permit, drive in a car with a 19 year old with a license?

Wow. Its amazing how many people don't understand the law. The answer to your question is explained on page 10 of your 2008 California Driver Handbook. You can look it up for yourself.

Once you turn 18 you are now legally an adult. While practicing driving on an Instruction Permit you must be accompanied by a licensed driver at least 18 years old. The 25 year old requirement is only for minors 16 & 17. They must be seated near enough to you to take control of the vehicle, and since this would be your girlfriend I'm sure she's already sitting there. So to answer your question: YES . That is permitted.

PS: While driving keep your hands on the wheel, not your girlfriend.

Do you think that 16-year-olds can live alone in a foreign country?

Can? Yes. it does happen. Should? No. Sometimes, they fail, even through no fault of their own. And failure usually means death or serious injury.Humans evolved as social primates, and live best in a small troop. A single human is more vulnerable to becoming prey than a rabbit. A sixteen year old is not, in most societies, old and wise enough to navigate the intricacies of survival and thriving alone in a strange land. I’d say wait until they’re 30, and already managing it in their own culture.

I'm travelling alone to San Francisco in May for a medical conference. I have 5 days. What should I see, where should I eat, where should I run?

If you have room in the budget, The Real SF Walking Tour is amazing! The man who runs it only employs guides he is confident will show you not only the very best of SF, but some hidden gems that you wouldn't know about. Make sure you've got good walking shoes for that!Otherwise, Golden Gate Bridge, the Painted Ladies, and Alcatraz are musts for firat time visitors. If you plan on alcatraz, you must purchase your ticket as far in advance as possible. Other than that, just explore and ask locals! We found out about an event called Off The Grid, that still takes place every Friday. A couple dozen food trucks gather in the same place along with local live music! We wouldn't have heard about it unless we asked the locals.Gretchenwww.GretchenGoes.com

Can a 16-year-old girl live alone with a roommate?

I think it happens ,im sure that is possible.I think that it actualy really depends on the maturity level of the said 16 yr old,and kind of person the roommate is.How old is the roommate, how responsible are they in there life ,both of you have jobs, the 16 yr old still jn school,if so,it’ll half to to be part time job then. Are the parents cool with it?All the above factor’s in ,but having the right kind of roommate is a key http://element.Do your personalities match up,being responsible for a 16 yr old kid,yes kid,is something to take on,just because 16 is still consider a minor until 18 an adult.I wish you luck, and make sure to pick a good responsible roommate.
