Can I Use A 250gb Or 500gb Hdd Hard Drive For A 4gb Xbox 360 E

Can I use a 250gb or 500gb hdd hard drive for a 4gb xbox 360 e?

I have a Xbox 360 e and It only has 4gb so I found a 500gb hard drive on amazon and I was going to buy it but I am not sure if it will fit or work on my Xbox it says it's for an Xbox slim but I've read that the slim and the Xbox e use the same hard drive but I'm not certain can someone explain it to me

How do you connect an external hard drive to an Xbox 360?

Original Xbox 360:You can connect external HDD to an Xbox via one of the USB ports (on front or back of your console).Since April 2015 you can connect up to 2 2TB HDD to your console (your Xbox 360 needs to be updated from Xbox Live). Before that update you were able to use only 32GB max.Keep in mind, that your HDD will be formatted to special FATx format, so your HDD becomes "unreadable" in your PC. You cannot use your HDD for anything else than Xbox games (without formatting again to computer readable format like FAT32 or NTFS).I am not sure, but I think there was an option to use only part of your HDD space and you were able to choose, how much space you will dedicate to your Xbox 360 FATx format.Modded Xbox 360:If you have "modded" console, you can connect any HDD. You can even play games via LAN from your network storage, like HDD in your computer or NAS.Sorry for my English, hope it helps.

For an Xbox 360 with 4GB, is it worth buying an external hard drive?

Depends on the game.4GB will cover all your save games. But you'll never be able to download any game or DLC that catches your eye.Not to mention that some games (most present day games really, like Fifa, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, Watch dogs, GTA V) require a mandatory install. Even the few games that do not require an install will strain your machine when you play directly off the disk.I understand the price difference between the 4GB and the 350GB/500GB consoles is very tempting, but the added storage comes in very handy. If you're really strapped for cash, go for the 4GB right now. You can always buy the add-on 320GB hard disk later. If you're really REALLY strapped for cash, any pendrive or hard disk can be plugged into the USB slot, and up to 32GB of it will be recognized and used by the console.Hope that helped! Game on!!

Can you put a 250gb Hard drive in a Xbox 360 4gb?

Depends.
The 4gb new xbox 360 does have a free hardrive space however it depends if this 250gb hardrive you say was made for the old fat xbox or the new generation xbox. As the new xbox has a different size socket for the hdd.

XBox 360 - 250GB or 500GB?

I'm in the market to buy a new XBox (no, not an XBox One - I'm not ready to commit to one yet). I'm having a bit of trouble deciding whether I want to invest in a 250GB or a 500GB. I currently have a 250GB, but the disk reader has not worked for over a year so I've been buying games directly FROM the console and downloading them ONTO the console. I had planned to get it fixed, but for the money they want I'd rather just get a new one (this one is pretty old, it's time for an upgrade). Now that it's tax season, I want to invest in a new one. Any thoughts, opinions? Thanks.

Is Xbox 360E 4GB Worth the purchase?

Well I would recommend the Playstation 3 over the XBOX 360E 4GB. The Playstation packs in the same hardware but has a 500GB HDD. The more amount of HDD space enables you to do much more than just gaming. You can watch movies, add songs and even download few applications from the Playstation Store. Game titles however are more or less similar on both the platforms but my personal experience of gaming was better on the PS3 due to the perfect optimization of its game. They give fairly steady frame rates and no lag at all. My opinion- PS3 is the bang for the buck in this category!

Can I add 250GB HDD to a 4GB Xbox 360?

Yes, you can. The Xbox 360 S's hard disk capacity is limited to 4GB only. You cannot enjoy games like Watch_Dogs and GTA V. You cannot also add a HDD inside so it's going to be fit externally. You should consider Western Digital HDDs for the Xbox 360.

How many games can fit in an Xbox 360 4GB?

Most of the full games via Games On Demand are 5GB or more, but many of the older Xbox Arcade are 50–150MB, and the later ones were frequely less than 0.5GB. 4GB is equivalent to 4096MB, so the math is pretty simple. It will depend on the size of the games you’re hoping to store.Keep in mind that any Xbox with USB ports can also use thumbdrives. I’ve got a 128GB USB drive on mine, and it can store a whole heap of games. Just make sure you get one that’s fast, or the 360 accordingly won’t format it as a Storage Device.

Is an Xbox 360 4GB better or a 500GB better?

Its just storage that differs here. The console remains the same in both 4Gb & 500Gb variant. Now, if you are a casual gamer(like me), you would do just fine with the 4Gb console. Given that you can increase the storage by simply plugin your HDD/USB . This can save you some money to buy some good games. If you are a hardcore gamer, I’d suggest you invest in that 500Gb variant as games do have lot of data that needs to be downloaded and stored.Hope I answered your question.Feel free to reach out in case of any other doubts.
