Can I Use A Touch Screen Monitor For Photoshop

Which is better for a graphic designer, a touchscreen monitor or a normal monitor with a tablet?

A2A: I think that is a matter of personal preference for the designer. (I assume you are talking an input tablet as an alternative to a mouse, not something like an iPad.)OTOH, I think the successful implementations with a touch screen tend to get a bit complicated. There is more to it than just pointing with your finger. If you are willing to pay the fairly high price, those sophisticated solutions would probably win for those who learn to use them. But just plugging in a touchscreen monitor won’t do it.

Is a touch screen laptop good for digital art work?

Yes! You can use a tablet pc to create digital artwork. The only difference between a tablet pc and a graphics tablet (drawing tablet) is the digital pen. The digital pen used for the tablet pc does not have pen pressure. The digital pen used for the drawing tablet has pen pressure. Here is some more info http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRkDxj4UD...

Wacom is considered to be the BEST graphics tablet maker on the market. Wacom Bamboo is for amateur artists. Wacom Intuos is for working professionals and serious artists.

There is only one thing that makes Wacom Bamboo and Wacom Intuos5 very different. Bamboo has 1024 levels of pen pressure. Intuos5 has 2048 levels of pen pressure. The higher levels of pen pressure allows you to draw the most subtle details, has better precision.

Which are good laptops that have an i7 and a touchscreen, great display, and are optionally lightweight and have good battery capacity to run Photoshop, Adobe packages, and video editing?

If you have the basic usage of photo or video editing, then you should go for a Mac. MacBooks are great for photo and video editing. Though you won’t be getting a touch screen but you will surely be getting a touchbar, which will be a great timesaver for you in video and photo editing.

Is wide screen curved monitor good for daily programming?

“Is wide screen curved monitor good for daily programming?”This is really a personal preference. I use 2 27″ curved monitors set so they are like a wide single monitor with a small line in the middle. Due to the nature of my work, I prefer 2 monitors. I do a lot of remote work. Both remote machines and meetings with shared screens. It is easier to share a screen and have the other for things I do not want or need to share. Say, browsers with research information. Or, my email accounts. I have to admit that I do not have a huge preference for the curved versus flat monitors. I wear reading glasses and thought I would really like them. It turns out they just do not make much difference when compared to well placed flat monitors for me.-Doug

What zoom level do most viewers use on their monitor?

It’s now easy to find a monitor that can give you as much (or as little) glass as you want AND the number of pixels that you want at exactly or twice your desired pixel density (pixels per linear inch). For this reason, I no longer buy monitors that would make me magnify by a nonwhole multiple, like 1.25 (125 percent). While 125 percent might not cause artifacts or odd behavior most of the time, I’d rather experience these problems none of the time. So:I like to see as many pixels as possible on as much glass as possible—these days, 8.3 million (3840 x 2160), but only if the resolution is no lower than 100 pixels per inch (100 ppi) and no higher than 130 ppi.Using Sven’s DPI Calculator / PPI Calculator , I find that I can tolerate a 16:9 monitor whose diagonal measures anywhere from 34 inches (130 ppi) to 44 inches (100 ppi). And that’s what I do. At home, I run 4K on a 42.5-inch Seiki (43-inch nominal). At work, I run 4K on a 38.5-inch Seiki (39-inch nominal).Alternatively, I could pick a 3840x2160 monitor that will give me twice that linear density: 200 ppi to 260 ppi. In that case, I would choose a monitor with a diagonal of anywhere from 17 inches (260 ppi) to 22 inches (200 ppi), then set my display magnification to 200 percent. Or the LG UltraFine 21.5-inch display (4096 x 2160, 219 ppi). Or a 5K (5120 x 2880) 27-inch display (218 ppi). But then I’d be sacrificing too much glass.
