Can I Win This Legally

Can bookies legally ban you for winning too many bets?

No, they would not bother, even if it was legal to do so. The bookies set the probability of winning to a level where they will guarantee themselves a regular and consistent profit. The law of large numbers will guarantee this will be the case.So what if somebody has a long winning streak? The question says “bookies” and so I presume the gambling is on horses. By knowing the owners and trainers (OT) of horses very well and going to as many race meetings as possible and essentially becoming acquaintances with the OTs, it is possible to glean inside information and know which horse is going to win to a better degree than the average punter. In the 1960s, in the UK, there was such a man, who did the above and for every £million he gambled he would get back £1.1 million (it was reported in a TV documentary). He became so well known by all the course bookies that for him to bet on a horse caused the bookies odds to shorten on that horse. This gambler, to maximise his winnings, would make a dummy bet on course, on a horse, that he did not expect to win and then make a bet at a bookie off course, on a horse which he believed from his acumen would win. Then, in the UK, betting tax came into being and this effectively removed any advantage this gambler could make for himself. That was the 1960s but some years ago the betting tax was removed and so it would be possible to make money again by the method outlined above.

Can a casino legally ban you if you are winning all the time but not cheating?

Yes. You may be deemed by the management to be a ‘shady character’, or in some way your presence might not be ‘conducive to the spirit of gaming required’. Or the general manager might have taken a great dislike to your suit and come to the conclusion that - anybody wearing a red tux in public places is going to lower the tone of the place, and you are Persona Non Grata. If a casino finds that for some weird and inexplicable reason they cannot afford you - then they are also going to have to limit your play in some way. You are unlikely to be banned unless you are upsetting other players in some way, or if you are there to make money on your own behalf, either through lending money or prostitution. To win all the time without cheating, but in opposition to the mathematical laws of chance is considered impossible, but you may just be too big a fish for a small pond: If a casino has half a dozen ‘high rollers’, the ones who lose over a period will pay for the ones who win, but if the casino has only one big player, then he or she could pose a threat to the cash flow that the accountants and banks couldn’t accept.

How do you make money auto racing legally?

First, you have to be under 25, and start in SCCA, or a Skip Barber series, and then buy into Star Mazda, or buy a seat in Koni Challenge. You will not make money until you get a paid seat in Koni, Rolex, or ALMS....guys even rent rides in Rolex (TRG Porsches are often rented). You will need at least 100k a year in order to buy a season ride with Koni or Star Mazda, and then be one of the fastest drivers there, and then use your skill (if you have enough) to negotiate a paid ride with a higher team.
Yes, you definately need a big budget in order to make money. You will not get noticed in SCCA, unless you win a National Championship, if you go the SCCA route, buy a Formula Continental, Formula Enterprise, Formula Mazda, Spec Miata, or Spec Racer Ford....Mazda has a good ladder, but you have to win a National Championship to be eligible.

Good luck, I'm 16 and I race a FV in SCCA, I will move up into a FC, or FM Nationaly.

Good luck
Steven

If i were to win the lottery, would my child support increase legally?

I have 2 children and am in the military. I pay 750/mnth and thats based on deployment pay with no taxes taken out (which i think is bs cuz im about to come back home soon, and its probably not worth going back to court to adjust the payments). If i were to win a large sum, and claim it myself, would i legally have to bump up my child support?

Is it legal to sell something you won on the radio?

As long as there is a monetary value on the ticket itself (it shows the price) then you can sell them for up to the amount of the ticket. However, if they are marked "COMP" you can not legally sell them, as they have no monetary value. You can give them away to a friend and hope that friend does something nice for you, but you can not sell something that is marked comp or free.

If you win money from www.gamesville.com can they legally ask for your ssn number?

Yes I have won prizes from them and yes I have gotten checks but since I have never won over the $600 threshold I have never had to provide my social security number and neither will you unless you win over the $600 if you are in the United States.

How can you win a legal case when you know your client is guilty?

The court system is a funny thing. Whether the accused is guilty or not has absolutely nothing to do with anything. It is all about what the state can prove and what the defense can refute. Then a judge or jury considers this evidence and decides if the person is guilty. In an ideal world the courts decision will align with the truth of whether the person is guilty or innocent. But this is not a perfect world so we do the best we can. Also it is the job of the prosecutor to present the case most favorable to their point of view and it is up to the defense to poke holes in the prosecution’s version and to present the evidence they find most favorable to their point of view. It is up to the judge or jury to weigh evidence. In the USA everyone is entitled to a competent defense. One thing to keep in mind is that attorneys, contrary to popular opinion, are not allowed to elicit testimony they know to be false.
