Is liberalism leading America to self destruction?
Let’s look at the records of the conservatives and the liberals:Liberals gave us the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.Liberals work to preserve the freedoms enshrined therein.Liberals defend these freedoms for even those who would deny these freedoms to their defenders.Conservatives give free reign to big business to cheat employees and stock holders.Conservative Supreme Court (in)Justices rule that companies can prevent employees from banding together in class action law suits, forcing the employee to face the corporation in front of a company chosen professional arbitrator who knows that if he rules against the company he won't be hired again.Conservatives write laws that encourage business to freely destroy the environment.Conservatives pass laws allowing law enforcement to violate constitutionally guaranteed rights, enact rigid laws on personal behavior,reduce taxes on the obscenely rich and inflict burdensome taxes on everyone else.Conservatives cry out that the liberals shred constitution then they violate it.Conservatives cry freedom then deny it by forcing medically unnecessary tests on women seeking constitutionally protected abortion.Conservatives allege voter fraud then enact voter id laws to prevent the citizen from voting.Conservatives spout off about fiscal responsibility, then give trillion dollar tax cuts to the wealthy 1% while doing nothing for the common man, imposing terrible burden of debt on our descendants, while cause huge deficits that they then use to “justify” cuts to the social safety net. In particular, they want to cut Social Security which is and has always been self funding, generating zero cost to the government and Medicare, which generates a small cost to the government compared to the military and cost of the tax cuts.Finally, the incumbent so-called Conservative President flagrantly violates the law, his oath of office and the constitution by appointing the incompetent and dishonest to his cabinet, and by relentlessly attacking the press. He blusters and bullies, offending allies, foes, and potential foes alike. He cosies up to the Russian President who worked very hard to elect him.Previous so called conservative Presidents waged war on countries that have never attacked the United States, without congressional approval nor declaration of war and without the countenance of any international body.Who I ask you is leading the United States to destruction?
Will conservatives ever admit that guns are a serious problem?
Firearms have been a part of this nation since BEFORE it was a nation. Firearms as an issue only occurred after liberal/progressive firearm policies were enacted into law. The problem is not firearms, nor the lack of firearms laws. There are over 20 THOUSAND firearm laws across this great nation.See, the problem with laws is that criminals do not obey them. Murder is illegal, it still happens. If you use a firearm while committing a crime….you get a harsher punishment. A very low estimate of 65 million legal, law abiding firearm owners in the US. These firearm owners own a very low estimate of over 300 million firearms. The law abiding firearm owners, nor their firearms are the issue. Criminals are.Criminals who commit crimes including murder are usually coddled by liberal policies. Blame is placed on others. Blame is placed on tools. The blame is rarely placed on the person committing the crime. Oh sure, they may get convicted, but libs hate the death penalty. Even in states that still use the death penalty, it takes decades to actually put the criminal to death. In that time, liberals demand that the death penalty be abolished….and enact any number of law suits to that end.Gun free zones, a liberal advent, does nothing but create what is called “soft targets”. Individuals that are bent on mayhem use these soft targets. Police stations, gun shows, gun stores….rarely the scene of shootings, much less mass shootings.Start by reversing liberal policies from the last thirty years. Then go back even further.I was in high school in the 80's. Graduated in 89. Any time through the school year you could check vehicles in the parking lot and find rifles and shotguns proudly hanging on a rack in the back window. No school shootings took place.Firearms are not the issue, liberal policies are. Liberals…..are the problem
Do conservatives think human beings are basically bad and liberals think humans are good?
When I read comments or listen to right wing commentators, it's filled with fear, negativity, spite, hate and vitriol. They seem to have a very low opinion of humanity and think people are scum sucking pigs who will be dependent and take the easy way out if you let them. They seem to goose step to a delusional ideology that has never worked and when it's deployed it always ends in devastation---current affairs is case in point. Liberal writers conversely imply that humans have infinite potential and will choose the high ground. Instead of framing everything in terms of fear and hate, every problem is framed with rationality and pragmatism. Liberals focus on the solution, not spreading lies and propaganda about who caused the problem. Footnote--George W. Bush did break the world.
Why do liberals hate Reagan?
Liberals said Reagan was an idiot and was a dangerous person. They called him crazy for thinking the Soviet Union could be toppled and the liberals said it could not be done. Reagan said it could be done and he aided and armed anti-communist freedom fighters in Nicaragua and other parts of South America and restored hope to millions, planned a nuclear shield and created a plan on winning a nuclear war with the Soviet Union, supplied Christian fighters against savage Muslims, and waged a spiritual war against the Soviet Union. Reagan proved them wrong. I say thank you, Mr. Reagan for being the 2nd best President in American history behind George Washington. Lech Walesa, head of the Polish Solidarity movement, says: "When talking about Ronald Reagan, I have to be personal. We in Poland took him so personally. Why? Because we owe him our liberty. This can't be said often enough by people who lived under oppression for half a century, until communism fell in 1989."
Did Democrats cause the downfall of Detroit?
Detroit is the result of corruption, outsourcing, global competition in the car market, unfunded pension mandates, and a zillion other factors. Those who blame Detroit on liberals are low-effort thinkers.
