Can Someone Explain To Me How This Violates Yahoo Policies

Open door policy violation?

long story short, i was going through a personal family crisis and i let my immediate manager know, because i would be taking time off... only people who KNEW to my knowledge was my immediate manager, the store manager and the assistant store manager. with all 3 i said TO NOT SAY ANYTHING TO ANYONE ABOUT IT. because for 1 i don't want my business out like that. and 2 i don't know how i would react with people coming up to me asking about it... come to find out people know because one of the most gossipy queens i work with tried to trivialize my situation with his , and when asked how he knew he said you told me....which i quickly corrected him and said no i don't tell my business so who told you,...and he quickly named off another name... I am seriously pissed beyond belief... should i report to hr?

New school tardy policy a violation?

Recently at my high school, our principal left via promotion and the new principal is stricter than the last. A new tardy policy (classroom doors lock when the bell rings and everyone that is late even by a minute must go into "lockout" and spend 50min-1hr 30min in basically detention the first time, the second is a saturday school and failure to show up to sat school is suspension) whether or not this is fair is an opinion but the way the new policy was introduced is what i am concerned about. We had from Monday till' Wednesday to adjust and new policy started Thursday. What concerns me is that during registration we agreed to another tardy policy that has been evidently thrown out which i think is where it is sketchy. I want to know if there was a violation of any district rules involving new policies because our parents never signed a new policy and never agreed and only received a phone call a day before. My point is you can't just enforce new rules during the school year without properly informing the parents kind of like there is a process for new laws. Well thank you for reading and will take each response into account.

Why have I violated the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines?

When I answered a couple of questions in special education with "Sorry to inform you but you should submit your question in another category on the forum." I received a message that I had violated the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines. No specifics were mentioned. I am very dismayed about that, because it means that I am guilty of:
Venting, ranting or using hate speech
Chatting or otherwise violating the question-and-answer format.
Being mean or obscene
Exploiting the community
Cheating
Violating the law
Behaving maliciously
Misusing Answers
Doing harm

My intention was to help the questioner to understand, that the question had no reference to the Special education category and to get an possible answer it should be placed in a relevant category.
This should be the task of the Yahoo Answers "managers" themselves in the first place.

But more surprisingly was, that the same answer given to another question was later chosen as best answer with 100% [2 votes] ??

Has the YA team or somebody else any reasonable explanation for this ambiguous way of behaving?
I will not answer any question anymore without a fair explanation

Terminated from job due to violation of policy?

NO. If you put on your application that you worked at Old Navy...they are going to find out the reason for your termination (whether you supply them the answer or not). Like you said, they are all interlinked with Gap as Gap owns the Gap stores, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Piperlime. Even if you only worked there a short time and don't let them know you worked for Old Navy, you run the risk of their systems being interlinked (with your information also entered)...in all honesty, you shouldn't apply because it will save you the embarrassment as they may look at you as a theif...no one gets rehired for violation of policy. Instead, apply for other retail jobs. Good luck in your search!

How do I know if someone blocked my Yahoo email?

When you add an email address to your blocked email addresses list there is no notification sent to the blocked email address in question.Whenever your blocked contacts send you a message, they will not receive a failure notice confirming their message was not delivered. Since the email in question will never arrive to your inbox, you will not know they have sent you a message. This works the same if someone has blocked you. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to help you!

How can I complain to Yahoo about my personal contact details being plastered over their site?

I suspect this question is related to What gives websites and search engines the right to publish your private personal contact details all over their sites so it becomes visible on the search engines and the whole world? -- which clarifies that the OP was not actually complaining about Yahoo allegedly violating a privacy policy, but was complaining that information in the public record was visible on websites, and that search engines can find those publically available websites -- which is, of course, what the Internet is all about.  But I'll keep the answer below under the assumption that the question was written as intended. By contacting Yahoo's customer care support. You can start at Help Central. They are on Facebook, Twitter, the phones, and email. You might want to check out the Yahoo Privacy Policy page to learn more about privacy settings. My suggestion is to do more than complain, since complaining is not enough, and does not really help anyone. Instead, call and ask them to help you explore what is going on. It's strange that "personal contact information is plastered all over their site" (which one? there are so many). It may be that you are on a site that only you can see, only if you are logged in. Again, ask and find out what is going on, and if anything needs to be fixed. If so, they will fix it for you. If not, they will explain what might be happening, and you'll have a better understanding of what is going on and why. Your question suggests a situation that is very strange and highly unlikely. There could be some malware in your browser or some other site you are looking at that is pretending to be a Yahoo site that is creating the impression that something is being mishandled. Seek to get information to see what needs to be done. Please note: there are phony companies out there who pretend to be "Yahoo customer service" So please do make sure to go to http://help.yahoo.com. and not any site that does not end with "yahoo.com" Also, the moment someone suggests that you have to pay for service, or that you have to download something to your computer from their site, you should know that you are not dealing with Yahoo, but a phony. Yahoo does not change for customer care. I hope you get your issue resolved quickly.  Private Message me if you need help (you asked this as Anonymous, so I have no idea who you are). I'm not in customer care, but I can put you in touch with someone who is.

Is TDCJ policy in HIPAA violation?

I work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and I recently had to go to the doctor. When I brought HR my doctor's note, they said that the note needed "medical facts" (a reason for being sick). I looked up TDCJ policy PD-46 and it does require a medical fact to clear the excuse. I was always under the impression that asking for a reason was a HIPAA violation at other jobs I've had. I've tried looking into HIPAA, but it's pretty confusing and I don't really have time to go crazy looking deeply into it and learning all the legal language used. I'm hoping maybe someone who sees this can provide me some kind of explanation. So my question is: Is TDCJ policy PD-46 in compliance with HIPAA or is it in violation?

Can I sue YA for violating my Freedom of Speech??

Every time i ask a question they don't like they delete it. Political questions that I ask are the ones that are generally deleted. I have no idea why. May be the truth hurts. However, I still have a right to post questions on here. Someone tell me if I can sue this program.

Why is Quora more popular than Yahoo Answers? What elements make it the more popular Q&A site?

A couple of years back, early 2015 I guess, I wanted to know about the basics of big data and its importance in industry.I googled “What is Big data”The first link popped up was Wikipedia - I opened in a new tab and set it aside. The second link was from Yahoo answers. I opened and was looking for some useful information. There were answers like:I was confused, irritated and most of the answers didn’t answer the question. The next link which popped was from Quora.I could find answers like this:Answer was by Balaji Viswanathan (பாலாஜி விஸ்வநாதன்) sir. That is the moment I followed him and read his other answers too! And that was the moment i decided not to refer yahoo answers for anything in future.Unlike Yahoo answers, Why was the answer better? It summed up all the information - technical explanation with real life examplesPictures made it easier for me to connect with answerThe credential “Ran a Big data company” made me believe the answer is from someone trustworthy.Upvotes and comments of appreciation from people in related field made me feel secured about the answerComments were healthy and was debating its future application. So, with no further discussions, Quora is always better than Yahoo answers.
