Can Someone Give Me A Scary Ghost Story

Scary ghost story or urban legend?

Scary Story:
A couple was once driving up a mountain on a dark night to get to a club for a Prom they were attending. The man turned on the radio for the local news due to weather alerts as they were driving in the fog. The reporter's voice was getting cut off as he began his story on a dangerous murderer who was on the loose.
Just as the car was going through a narrow road surrounded by trees, the car stopped. Scared, the man tells his date to stay in the car as he runs into town to look for a payphone and only to come outside when he knocks on the car roof three times. 10 minutes go by and the man has not returned. Suddenly the woman hears a scrape on the roof of the car. "But that was only once" she thinks to herself. A few seconds later, she hears the wind howl and another scraping noise on the roof.
Scared, she remains hidden under the blanket in the back seat. A third scrape is heard on the roof of the car as the wind slowly dies down. The lady thinks, "Is that him? Should I come out?" The wind once again picks up and she hears a fourth and fifth scraping noise. Suddenly she hears a few police cars outside and a policeman knocks on the glass of the car three times.
Relieved, the woman steps out of the car and says "Thank goodness you guys are here, our car stopped and my date ran into town to look for a payphone." The policeman, with a sad face says, "Don't worry mam." and escorts the lady into the police car.
As the police car begins to move out, the wind picks up, and she turns her head to see her date, dead and hanging from a noose on a tree on top of the car, feet scraping on the roof.

I think La Lorona is a pretty scary legend.

What are some really scary ghost stories?

I am in my late 30s and now living in Massachusetts where I grew up. I was a middle child of five in a very close family. When we were really young, my two younger sisters and I were always fascinated with the unknown. We would look in the obituaries in the newspaper to see who had recently passed away and we would have séances in our garage with some other local neighborhood kids. Usually nothing would happen, but a couple of times some weird things happened that we just could not explain.

When my sisters and I were in high school, we learned about Ouija boards. We bought one and began to play with it. Two of us would get on it and the other would write everything down. At first it was fun. We talked to several different spirits that told us where they were from and about their families, etc. This went on for weeks, then gradually things started getting a little scary. Eventually, every time we got on the board, the same spirit would come on, who was not very nice. He told us he was the devil and he was going to get us somehow. He called him self "Zozo." When a friend of ours confronted our priest about this name, he got very angry and told us we should not be playing with Ouija boards; they were not toys and we could get into trouble. He gave his Sunday sermon on the subject.

Needless to say, we stopped playing with it. Then, while still in high school, one of my sister's best friends lost her sister in a van accident. She and her sister were very close. She knew of our adventures with our Ouija board and begged my sister to let her come over and use it to talk to her deceased sister. Hesitantly, my sister sat down with her and contacted her sister with the board. Her friend bawled and told her sister how much she loved her and missed her. She didn't want to live anymore without her and wished she could be with her. About two weeks later, my sister's friend died... in a van accident - exactly the way that her sister had died. My sister took the Ouija board and put it out with the trash, and none of us has touched one since.

Do you tell "scary ghost stories" at Christmas time?

As the old song says, it's the most wonderful time of the year. But if you listen to the lyrics, the song says "There'll be scary ghost stories and tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago.". Do you know anyone that tells scary ghost stories at Christmas?

Scary/Creepy Superstitions and Ghost Stories?

if you have a games console.. such as an xbox or playstation. then film your TV screen (make sure you don't get those black lines) on the same screen of your console for about an hour.. then whilst still filming the screen - send a message to someone or go on anything which allows you to type.
write something spooky (slowly) like "Die.. Diie.. I want you to Die painfully Just as i did...".
and then transfer this film onto DVD. put this DVD into your DVD player and play at the start of the party and HIDE YOUR DVD PLAYER. Turn your console on but switch to the DVD channel.

(so basically atm it looks like the TV is switched to the console channel when actually a DVD is playing)

make sure nobody touches your console remote and that everyone is arround the tv in an hour (make it look natural)

Then when the console starts talking to you (ghosts) everyone gets freaked out. :)

PS. im not good at explaning things.
I did this at my halloween party last year and some people were full on shaking with fear. xD

Do you have any real ghost or horror story to share?

Following is one of the spookiest incident I've ever witnessed and this is not a story.. it's a fact.A very good friend of mine just after his 22nd birthday lost his Mom due to some chronic disease.. Since being the only kid in the house, he was pampered a lot by his parents and especially his mom.. He also crazily loved his mom and his signs of depressions were clearly seen when his mom was hospitalized. After she passed away, their was a sudden change in his behavior, he avoided personal interactions and stammered while talking to us.After a week, he didn't bother meeting us, after around a month's time when we were coming back from a movie, we saw him at his balcony in a weird position.. it was looking like he was climbing the grills at his balcony like how spider man climbs the wall.. and we were quite surprised looking at him. We did wave at him, but he didn't wave back at us.. which confused us even more. The next day 2 other friends from our group also saw him in the exact same position.. and no price for guessing, he became the point of discussion among us. To find out what's happening we decided to meet him the next day, and he spoke as if everything was ok.. but his eyes didn't seem right, the dark circles around his eyes made him look like an owl. We asked his dad about his behavior. His dad at first didn't find anything unusual (maybe bcoz of his work) but post we convincing him, he came up with an idea of keeping an eye on him. He also asked us to be with his son for the weekend and we did oblige to do that. Which turned out to be one of the biggest mistake what I made till date. We saw our friend this time not climbing the grill but his own wardrobe and sat their talking with himself, seemed like he was sharing his childhood incidents.. all this was in his eyes open so we thought there is no case of sleep walk.. We immediately ran up to his dad and got a doctor to look at him..When we got him down and doctor asked him what was he upto.. the answer made us pee our pants..He said he will not climb to the grill or wardrobe if his mom won't meet him at those places to talk to him...Edit 1:Thanks for the upvotes and suggestions. P.S. This is indeed a true incident, nothing made-up
