Can Someone Help Me With My Speech Desperately Need Help

How was your experience when you helped someone in need?

Happiness is all about making someone smile and pull someone out of troubles. So I try to help people in need. I help people regardless of any intention of getting something in return. The feeling of helping someone is something more than happiness. But when I need help, they sometime refuse to help me. No problem. But atleast people should remember what I have done for them.In 3rd year of college, I helped my friend writing a whole assignment over a night. She was my close friend. Next day, when I handed her over assignment, she showered me with thanks. But in evening scenario got worse. I needed someone with me. I asked her to accompany me for a while.“Dear kal baat karte, mujhe time nahi hai”, she said. (I don't have time, will talk you tomorrow. )I was crying. Still she didn't talk me. She didn't even ask me why I was crying. That day I felt, no one is your friend without intension of benefits from you.Last month she got married, I did not feel guilty for not attending her marriage. It was not the revenge but I could not go. The karma worked here. She didn't give me time, god made some situation for me to not to attend her marriage. But yeah there are my friends who give me time. Thanks to them.

Help!!!I need to write a one minute speech on a famous quote tommorow!!! 10 points to the most helpful answer!

well here's some I like:

"Without forgiveness life is governed by an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation"
-Roberto Assagioli

For that you could give examples of wars in the past or something.

"We must be the change we wish to see in the world."
- Gandhi

For that you could talk about how a lot of people are quickly pointing out flaws in the world etc yet aren't doing much to change it, how people aren't really motivated anymore etc + if you did this speech well you could end up inspiring some people.

"The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend."
- Abraham Lincoln

It goes without saying really. You could reference a lot of religious books that talk about forgiveness etc and show the success of making friends with enemies + the disadvantages of resorting to hate.

"I am easily satisfied with the very best"
- Winston Churchill

Something about always trying your best etc

“Patriot: the person who can holler the loudest without knowing what he is hollering about.”
-Mark Twain

You can come up with your own ideas about this one. Risky though.

“But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?”
-Mark Twain

Don't know. Could be interesting. Could end up offending someone somehow.

“All generalizations are false, including this one.”
-Mark Twain

This one would be really good if you were the last person in your class to give a speech!

Hope this helps :)

Can you find some literary devices in Romeo's speech in act 5 scene 1 lines 36-59 of Romeo and Juliet?

I need help understanding these two questions and i also need some examples as well. I have to write three papers for English tonight but i also have a ton of homework for my 2 AP courses and i am desperate at this point.

These questions deal with the " Speech in the Virginia Convention".

1.) In Paragraph 1 of "Speech in the Virginia Convention," is Patrick Henry appealing to what he believes to be a friendly audience or a a hostile?
* if you could help find examples that would be awesome !

2.) In paragraph on the final sentence what does Patrick Henry suggest about the importance of dissent? does be give it much value? explain.

-from what i have and understand he takes a lot of value i already know and if you don't speak your opinion that you are already the same as treason in his opinion.
*but could you help with examples and explain the question a little better too?

I really truly appreciate any of the help even if it ins't much i am just stressing out and can get any help at this point .
Thank you bunches :)

I Need To Make My Wedding Speech Funny?

Yeah, my sisters getting married, and shes asked me to make a speech, i have pretty bad nerves, but i want to do it. But i want it to be funny, can someone please help me? any one liners, or funny things i can say? thank alot =)

I need a funny story to tell my Speech class ?

Once, my dad went to a child psychology class (since he is a cop). He was super excited because he felt like he learned a ton and he was ecstatic to try out his new techniques on his 3 year old daughter. So, we were getting ready to leave the house and my dad says, "Shawna, it's kinda cold outside, would you rather wear the blue sweater, or the red sweater?" The idea was to get the kid to pick one or the other, making them decide to wear a sweater without really realizing it. I looked at him, answering "I don't wanna wear a sweater daddy."

Another time, we were getting ready to leave the house (again, I was little) and I had been coloring with blue marker all over a little ball, and my hands had blue ink all over them. Well, after five minutes of calling for me, I finally come out of my room. Dad looks at my hands and asks, "Shawna, where did you get so dirty at??" I answer, looking at him like he's the biggest idiot int he world, "Well, on my hands daddy!"

Another time, when I was little, my mom was getting ready to take my sister and I to the public pool. Of course, she had to sit us down and cover us in sunscreen -- as mothers do -- but as a child I didn't understand that. So I asked, "Why do we have to wear sunscreen?" My mom answered, talking to me like you talk to a small child, "Because we don't want you to get a sunburn cause those hurt." After my mom finished rubbing me down, she set me free while she covered my sister in sunscreen as well. When my sister was good and safe from the sun's harmful rays, my mom turned around and found me with a bottle of sunscreen in my small hands, completely covering the cat in sunscreen. "Oh my goodness, Shawna, WHAT are you DOING?" My mom asked, exasperated. I look up at her in the innocent way that a child has, "I didn't want kitty to get burnt!" My mother was forced to give our cat a bath, receiving many battle wounds in the process... Needless to say, we did not get to go to the pool that day.

I hope those work for you. =]
