Can Someone Help Me Word Out A Letter I Need To Draft For My Landlords .

Does anyone have a template letter to a Landlord from an employer to terminate a lease early?

Write the letter to the owner/manager of your complex stating what you just said.
We will be moving on or before xxx date, due to our company has transfer us to (city, state). Enclosed is a copy of the transfer from the ABC COMPANY. According to Section 28 in our lease we will be release from our current lease without any penalties or additional rent payments due to XXX(the name of the person that your check is made payable each month).

We will remove all of our personal items from the unit before we move. The unit will be clean and ready for the next tenant to move. As stated in our lease, we want a 24 hours notice before you bring a potential tenant into our unit.

Please mail our security deposit to: new address and if you do not have a new address have them to mail the check to your new job address.

Take pictures of all of the rooms in your apartment before you release the key to the manager. You can request for the manager to do a walk through so there will not be any surprises when you get your refund check.

Where can I find an already drafted eviction letter to serve a sub tenant in Colorado?

Eviction is a legal process. Such a letter would be void initio (from the outset). You must go to court and show cause. And the other party will have a chance to have their say.Assuming that an eviction is granted the evictee will be given anywhere from 30-90 days to find other quarters and vacate the premises. If they fail to do so you must return to court to seek enforcement. And the other party will be allowed to argue for an extension. Which will likely be granted if they can show that they have been actively seeking another place.Where a family is involved it is not unusual for the process to take a year, or more.As always: Seek the advice of something licensed to practice law in your area!

My landlord has tampered with the original lease. What should i do?

When i gave them my 30 day notice, i noticed that the date on the lease had been scratched out and a new much later date put on top. I never intialed this area or was ever aware of this change. The landlord pretended to act like nothing was different. When I went to get my copy of the lease it was missing. We have cleaned our house from top to bottom and still can't find the original. Does it matter if I have the original or not? She clearly altered the document due to the fact that the area was scratched out and can be clearly seen on the lease. I don't know what to do? When I ask for a copy of the lease they decline? Who should i call?

Do landlords have to treat ESA’s the same as they would service dogs when considering a prospective tenant’s application?

From the answers already received, Stephanie L. Taylor has given the one that is best described as factual; the answers that used the word "no" are just opinions. The below paragraph is taken from FAQs on Emotional Support Animals——An emotional support animal is a type of assistance animal that is recognized as a "reasonable accommodation" for a person with a disability under the federal Fair Housing Act (FHAct, 42 U.S.C.A. 3601 et seq.). The assistance animal is not a pet according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD is the agency that oversees the FHAct and investigates claims of housing discrimination. …——The key is the disability of the tenant, and the link provided does elaborate further. The next two paragraphs are excerpts from that same link FAQs on Emotional Support Animals——HUD does not list all the possible disabilities for which an assistance animal could be used. Instead, HUD says the functions include “providing emotional support to persons with disabilities who have a disability-related need for such support.” …… HUD says that a person seeking the accommodation must submit reliable documentation of the disability and disability-related need for the assistance animal if the disability is not known or readily-apparent. This documentation is usually a letter from a medical doctor or treating therapist who can establish the disability and need for the assistance animal. The housing provider may not ask for access to medical records or unreasonably delay the request. …——No question that this is somewhat controversial. Because there are tenants out there who have abused this, and there are state laws that have been enacted (or are drafted but still pending) to penalize the fraudsters. The link I provided earlier includes much more information and is worth reading for those who are curious / seeking to learn more.

How can we get our landlord to fix our apartment?

Hello, my husband and our son have been living in our apartment for 18 months. Here are the issues in our apartment...

• Leak in the living room ceiling, leak is coming from the upstairs apartments radiator.
• Floor in the bedroom (the corner by the window) is not elevated enough, therefore we sometimes get a draft from outside.
• Our son’s closet has a hole on the floor.
• The outside intercom button has been out of order since we moved in.
• The bathroom ceiling/walls often have dark spots on them (we believe it’s from the pipes in the wall.

Anything we can do to get this fixed asap?

Thanks.

Can a diabetic get drafted?

I turned 18 a couple months back. I've been a diabetic my whole life. I received some paperwork through the mail today to enlist in the draft. So being a type 1 diabetic, is it possible to actually be drafted?
