Write the letter to the owner/manager of your complex stating what you just said. We will be moving on or before xxx date, due to our company has transfer us to (city,state). Enclosed is a copy of the transfer from the ABC COMPANY. According to Section 28 in our lease we will be release from our current lease without any penalties or additional rent payments due to XXX(the name of the person that your check is made payable each month). We will remove all of our personal items from the unit before we move. The unit will be clean and ready for the next tenant to move. As stated in our lease, we want a 24 hours notice before you bring a potential tenant into our unit. Please mail our security deposit to: new address and if you do not have a new address have them to mail the check to your new job address. Take pictures of all of the rooms in your apartment before you release the key to the manager. You can request for the manager to do a walk through so there will not be any surprises when you get your refund check.

My landlord has tampered with the original lease. What should i do?
When i gave them my 30 day notice, i noticed that the date on the lease had been scratched out and a new much later date put on top. I never intialed this area or was ever aware of this change. The landlord pretended to act like nothing was different. When I went to get my copy of the lease it was missing. We have cleaned our house from top to bottom and still can't find the original. Does it matter if I have the original or not? She clearly altered the document due to the fact that the area was scratched out and can be clearly seen on the lease. I don't know what to do? When I ask for a copy of the lease they decline? Who should i call?

Hello, my husband and our son have been living in our apartment for 18 months. Here are the issues in our apartment... • Leak in the living room ceiling, leak is coming from the upstairs apartments radiator. • Floor in the bedroom (the corner by the window) is not elevated enough, therefore we sometimes get a draft from outside. • Our son’s closet has a hole on the floor. • The outside intercom button has been out of order since we moved in. • The bathroom ceiling/walls often have dark spots on them (we believe it’s from the pipes in the wall.
