I think it's fine, but I'd rather Crimson Ache. If you decide not to go for that, just remember to make it powerful. You know, take some words from your own experiences and use them. What is a good name for a punk rock band?
A friend of mine used to be a standup comedian. He told an off color joke in a comedy club in the deep bible belt South. The gist of the joke was that if God impregnated Mary but she remained a virgin then God must have a tiny penis. (He used another word for penis.) While the joke got some laughs, it didn't go over so well with some of the audience. A woman approached him after his set and said in a heavy southern drawl “You ain't got no right to make fun of the Lord's Johnson!” When he told me the story I first laughed hysterically, then suggested that we should start a punk band called The Lords Johnson (no apostrophe.) It could have multiple interpretations. The Lords of Flatbush meet the Brothers Johnson anyone? You can see where I'm going with this. He and I are both too busy (and probably too old) to start a punk band, so The Lords Johnson is up for grabs. You're welcome.
What are some good folk punk bands?
Start simple, with Pat the Bunny’s first band Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains and his next band the Wingnut Dishwashers Union then Pat disapeared for awhile due to his drug addicton and all around recluse lifestyle, but he came back clean and sober and stronger then ever with the band Ramshackle Glory although Pat the Bunny has recently stated he was retiring from the punk rock world his music was some of the best the folk punk scene has ever known… Also check another F/P master Chris Clavin he is the lead singer and guitar player for the band Ghost Mice and he does (at least used to) solo work under the name Captain Chaos. If you are into more of a “bluegrass” type sound with fiddles, and mandolins check out RailYard Ghosts. Now for my final listing, if you want to hear the best band of all time.. maybe im partial cause im from the same town also the singer/guitarist just recently passed away so they are extra close to my heart right now, but go check out Mishchief Brew like NOW, actually go listen to Mischief Brew’s final album “this is not for children” and listen to some of Pat the Bunny newer solo work, you can find all this on youtube for free! have fun and welcome to the wonderful world of folk punk

Okay, so the Misfits are more than great. I mean who doesn't know that name. You might as well call horror punk the Misfits. .......but they're not exactly my style. I'm more into the new horror punk bands, like Aiden. So it would help alot if you could give me any horror punk band old or new. I would appeciate any answer that has to do with horror punk.

What are some good clean punk bands?
Try X, or any of John Doe or Exene Cerveka’s projects. They have the transgressive spirit that makes punk exciting, but didn't get around to swearing on their albums.I also reviewed the lyrics for the Sex Pistols’ Never Mind the Bollocks, as I didn't remember any swearing there, and they are almost clean. “Bodies” drops a cluster of F bombs, and “New York” calls someone a pile of s**t, so buy the album and drop those two tracks and it’s squeaky clean. “ God Save the Queen”, “Anarchy in the UK”, “Pretty Vacant”, all the family favorites are clean enough for radio; it is the content that makes them controversial. (“Bodies” is anti-abortion and “New York” is kinda homophobic. Who knew?)(thanks for the a2a btw)

Who are some good modern heavy punk rock bands?
I think it more important to define ‘punk’.I was 16 and living in London, England when the Sex Pistols broke. The year before my friends and I used to go out to various clubs the Marquee on Wardour Street, the 100 Club, the Music Machine, Dingwalls plus many others, all long since gone now I would imagine, and see bands like the Stranglers, the Clash, the Rezillos, the Dammed and they were just loud rock and roll bands. Sometimes good, sometimes really sloppy, sometimes really terrible,loud rock and roll bands. Suddenly, with the advent of Malcolm Mclarens media manipulation, it became punk. Let’s not forget, the Police’s first album was filed under punk, so were the Jam. So when I see these questions about punk bands it makes me sad because there was only one self styled ‘punk’ band and that was the Sex Pistols. Punk lasted for six months.It’s ALL rock and roll. Good, bad or indifferent. You question would be better asked as “What are some good modern rock and roll bands?”
