When 3 person involved in love is called Love Triangle.Same person lovingly 2 people at once.2 people loving 1 person at same time.Like:One girl in love with 2 different guy at the same time.2 boy in love with same girl at same time.Warning:It's more like a game, doesn't have any solution to it and it’s very dangerous. So,don't get involved with it, always try to avoid or get over with it as soon as you can.I hope you are not :)

no one should ever feel sorry about not liking twilight. jus' saying. as far as love triangles, the whole two people fighting over one is just old and boring. especially if there is no motivation behind them apart from 'because i love him/her' the more people that you have to complicate it, the better. a good place to learn about love triangles/squares/octagons is in soap operas, especially junior/teen ones. and not american ones, but foreign. they know their drama. for example "Rebelde" (spanish) or "Flowers Before Boys" (Korean) both of which take place in elite private schools. Here are some examples of dramas they use: different backgrounds/financial situations religion jealousy games making bets on relationships fake pregnancy family issues finding out you are related to the other person you are competing with start out hating the person you are in love with i think the best factor in a love triangle is when two people won't admit it or don't realize they are in love. they get right on the verge of getting together, then something stops them and they don't follow through, yet. my favorite example was in "fingerprints" by melinda metz, where her two main characters take six books to realize they are meant for each other. sorry it got a little off the topic of books but i hope i helped a little
B&A: Uncliched love triangles?
Hmm. A lot of books and movies with 'love triangles' tend to focus on the pain of the person choosing between two others. For example, if Mary liked both Gary and Larry it would focus on the way that it's 'just so hard' to choose between the two guys. Realistically I think it would be a lot more painful for Gary and Larry to know that a girl they love was in the process of possibly choosing someone else over them. If the story focused more on their feelings, it would knock off the cliche. It is also often the girl who has to make the decision, and usually it would be like this: Now let's say Mary chooses Larry. In a cliche love triangle, Gary would blend into the background and somehow forget about his love for Mary and accept the romance. Honestly, in real life, if this happened, would he just bugger off? I think not. Basically, the other character should fight for the love of the 'chooser'. Killing off the reject, making them move or making them meet 'the love of their life' right after they have been rejected is way too easy. Other things that could make a love triangle cliche: - If it is obvious from the beginning that 'Mary' likes one of them more, so it is obvious who will be chosen - If Mary ends up with the 'bad-boy' rather than the nice guy Meh. To make a love triangle UNcliche: - Have a guy choosing between two girls who he loves (not just lusts over) - Have the character choose the one who they would have a more stable relationship with - I saw one show where there was a love triangle, and everyone was going out with each other in secret! as in, A was going out with B and secretly going out with C, B was going out with A and secretly going out with C and C was sneaking around with both of 'em. I found this humorous - Have the character decide she can't choose and won't go with either of them in the end

How do you pull off a good love triangle in storytelling?
Make the characters well rounded and believable. Even if you start off knowing who will end up together, don’t make the odd-man/woman out be one-dimensional. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, flaws, motivations. No one is all bad or all good, they’re just people.The thing that always keeps me engaged with a love triangle is not knowing and being able to sympathize with each party. Consider what your readers are looking for in their experience with your writing, and then write to that end, but in your own parameters.
