Can my computer run DayZ (Arma II mod) with these specs?

It's my dad's old laptop (he just got a new one, so it's not that old at all)

It's a Dell Latitude E6400
Processor: intel core P8800 @ 2.66GHz
Graphics processor: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M - 256.0 MB

idk what the current memory is right now but I doubt that it will be an obstacle

I know it won't be able to run at full quality, obviously, but can I run it so it will be enjoyable to play with my friend and worth the $25? (I haven't bought Arma II/the expansion yet)

Can a amd a6 4400m run arma 3?

You see here, ARMA 3 will use an entire different engine. It has nothing to do with ARMA 2. The game will be released in Q3 2013. An alpha version Arma 3 was released on March 5, 2013 and the beta should be release in Q2.. There is a small problem: Arma 3 Alpha is horribly optimized. As you can see in the benchmark charts below:

A GTX 690 and a 39670X get like 35 FPS on 1080p !?.
That only can show you how badly optimized the game is. Now, about your A6 4400M and 7520G. THe 3960X is about 8 times faster than your APU, and the GTX 690 compared to 7520G is out of question. Even if you manage to run it on 720p, my guess, the FPS will be like 5-10 FPS. In other words, totally unplayable.
However, what you see here is the alpha version. The stable version may be better optimized, some thing to hope for. You can see the minimum system requirement from Wikipedia below. Now, everything is just predictions. Be patient and wait for the game. That's when you know you can run it or not. :D

Arma 2 Dayz System requirements?

You need to find out what your PC specs are*, but you will need to upgrade in order to do any real gaming. Intel G33/G31 is a chipset that comes with integrated graphics and is not capable of playing most modern games.

Here are the Minimum requirements to run DayZ the Arma 2 mod:

OS: Windows XP or Windows Vista
Processor: Intel Core 2.4 GHz or AMD Dual-Core Athlon 2.5 GHz
Memory: 1GB
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 8600GT or ATI Radeon 3650 or faster with Shader Model 3 and 512 MB VRAM
DirectX®: DirectX 9.0c or better
Hard Drive: 10 GB free space

I would wait though because DayZ is supposed to be released later this year as a standalone game. The system requirements for the standalone game may differ, and the game itself will be easier to install and much more playable than the mod that currently exists.

*one way to find out your PC specs is to click the Start button, type in "dxdiag" in the search bar and hit enter. This will bring up DirectX diagnostic tool. On the System Tab you can find out your processor and it's speed and also the amount of RAM in addition to which directx version you have. Then on the display tab you can view the specs of your graphics processor and the drivers.

Can this laptop run BF3 and ArmA 2?

Next time all you need to post are: the Brand, the model, CPU, RAM and the GPU.

Yes it should run BF3, but don't expect to have the settings turned up too high, or really good FPS. It'll likely be med-low graphical settings, and 20-30 FPS.

Can I run Arma 3, if so, what setting.?

Recommended specs for Arma 2 Dayz on Ultra?

Yeah, so I just updated from a garbage Dell Inspiron 530 to a Alienware Aurora R4 with the following specs and I want to know if its good for Dayz with max graphics settings and how long you guys think it will last before it starts lagging...

---Specs---
(these are just off the top of my head)

nvidia 4gb gtx 690 :)

16GB Quad Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz

2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3820 (10M Cache, Overclocked up to 4.2 GHz)

4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 690

Windows® 7 Professional, 64Bit, English

1TB Serial ATA 3 Hard Drive (also with good 500 mb/s 2 tb external hdd with my Steam on it)

Can this computer run Arma 3 with a high performance?

I’ve been playing Arma 3 for some time and can tell you: it’s the most CPU intensive game out there. How intensive depends on the amount of AI you’re placing in it (you can place as many AI in it as you’d like). There are countless questions on Quora that ask if an i5 is enough for gaming. Almost everyone answers: no problem but most people are not familiar with Arma 3.An i3 is not enough IMO, an i5 is OK but an i7 is preferred in Arma 3The last time I ran Arma 3 I was using an i7-4770k and even that was not really enough (I used a GTX 780 but don’t expect a GTX 970 to be that much of an advantage) for real smooth gameplay and I did not max out viewing distance for example (never do that in Arma 3 unless you’re using a supercomputer). The frame rates regularly dropped to around 25 or so.Again: it all depends on the amount of AI being used. If you only play online without AI, an i3 may be enough.

It may run on the laptop but I would say not very well at all.
