Can Tottingham Hotspuds Finish 4th

Why will Tottenham finish in the top 4?

They won't finish in the top 4 because they are just not good enough, other teams have more depth and quality.

Why is Tottenham Hotspur performing so badly under Pochettino?

Let me tell you, after Spurs' dream run in the Champions League came to a halt against Real Madrid, the demands of the Lilywhite fans became inflated. And they acquired an even more inflated shape when they finished 4th once again in the 2011-12 season. Daniel Levy's senseless decision to sack Harry Redknapp at a time when they finished 4th for two seasons running is still costing them. One can't take Bale's sale as a factor for their woes. After all, everyone has got to get a move on in his career, whether you talk about Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale. The money they acquired from his sale was massive. But I must admit, Villas Boas didn't use that money well. And it's ill effects are still visible in the Spurs side. They brought in so many midfielders that all of it came at the expense of the signing of just a single centre half in the form of Vlad Chiriches from Steaua Bucharesti. Much like AVB and Sherwood, Pochetinno still doesn't know how his first team looks on paper. They have many players for a single position and Pochetinno ends up messing it up.Pochetinno is known for preaching the high pressing game everywhere he goes. But at Spurs, it just isn't working out. In a high pressing game, one must have a pure winger on either of the flanks, much like how Rodriguez and Lallana at Southampton. Spurs field a 4-2-3-1 formation with the Chadli-Eriksen-Lamela triumvirate behind Adebayor. None of them are pure wingers. And once they drift into their preferred roles down the middle, the full backs bomb forward. And with the two central midfielders involved in the play, the defense is exposed. And there's no wonder why Federico Fazio has had a nightmarish start to his Spurs career. And Younes Kaboul has been way off color. Southampton had Morgan Schneiderlin in the central midfield. He's strong, powerful and reads and intercepts the play well. Spurs have good tippy tappy central midfielders but if you're aiming for a Top 4 finish, those central midfielders must be world class. They have Paulinho and Dembele but I don't know why they aren't being fielded. They need to sell some of their players to make way for a Top notch central midfielder because they're running out of money because of their new stadium. And I must say, I can sense Pochetinno's end.

It’s confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur will finish above Arsenal in the EPL 2017 for the first time in 22 years. How are you going to celebrate?

Personally, I love Spurs more than Arsenal…. Last season too, Spurs looked like they could finish above Arsenal until they collapsed and finished third in a 'two-horse race'. I think that Spurs are the favourites to finish above Arsenal in the upcoming seasons because of the following facts:Spurs have a striker who could get more than 20 goals every season …I reckon that the average age of the Spurs first XI is about 24 years and 118 days. This stat that I mentioned was of the team that Pochiettino fielded against Palace. The key players of Spurs i.e Kane, Alli are aged at 23 and 20 respectively. Hence, they have more years of promise than Arsenal. The goals scored by Spurs are not only scored by Kane alone. Alli and Eriksen have provided and created a significant amount of goals to the Spurs lineup. Arsenal do not have a 20+ goalscorer other than Alexis Sanchez. It is likely that Sanchez would leave Arsenal next season. If he leaves, Arsenal should get in the market and buy a talisman and a striker. I think that the only big player available for sale in the transfer market next season is James Rodriguez.Arsenal similarly lost Van Persie in 2011 and who did they buy???? O poor Giroud\U0001f602\U0001f602..The departure of Sanchez would leave a team with full of central midfielder a and none to finish. Moreover, Ozil is not a big game player. He is the 'Invisible man' against the top 6\U0001f602\U0001f602.Is there a player in the Spurs starting XI whom you could replace with an Arsenal player other than Sanchez????….Arsenal do not know how to grind out a result. They play the same style against all opponents. They try to be too clever and pass their way through the opposition defence. The significance of a holding midfielder is increasing season by season especially after the heroics of Kante. Arsenal do not have a good holding midfielder. Can you even compare 30m signing Xhaka with the likes of Wanyama and Dembele???… Really, I meant it…And of course Wenger\U0001f602\U0001f602\U0001f602..Arsenal certainly need a striker (not Giroud\U0001f602\U0001f602) and a good holding midfielder in order to challenge Spurs and perhaps the title too\U0001f602\U0001f602( not sarcastic, I meant it)

Tottenham Hotspur F.C. is a very good team and one of the wealthiest England clubs, but why they do not win the premier league?

Until 2015-16 season, Tottenham's club management was poor. And, by 'poor', I meant pathetic. Literally.Every season, one of their players came out as a relevation, and at the end of that season, he was sold. And, to replace him, a whole lot of mediocre players were bought. What they didSelling team's best player.Replacing him with someone mediocre.Incurring losses.Repeat.In 2011-12, Luka Modric came out as the team's best player, and eventually was sold to Real Madrid, for a £30,000,000.In 2012-13, Gareth Bale stole the show, and was a star player. Eventually, Real Madrid came calling, and purchased him for a record, £91,800,000.After the sale of Bale and Defoe, they had collected £120,000,000. But, what did they do. They purchased Soldado for a £25,800,000 and Erik Lamela for an another £25,800,000. And, an unjustifiable £17,000,000 on Paulinho. They literally wasted money on Soldado and Paulinho, who gave nothing to the team, and were eventually sold at high losses. While their ex-players were busy tasting the joys of success with their new teams, they were kicked out even from Round of 16, in Europa League, losing to Fiorentina.Their inability to keep hold of their players and their poor transfer business shows, why this club has never even got out of the shadows of Arsenal let alone win the Premier League.

NFL equivalent to Tottenham Hotspur?

I like watching the NFL but living in England I have no emotional ties to any team in particular. I'd like to follow a team but need help picking it.
Can any of you out their who are Big NFL fans and perhaps big Soccer fans (with a knowledge of the English premier league) help me decide?
I'm a Tottenham Hotspur fan (who are my local side) and I'd like to find the NFL team closest to them.
Tottenham have a history of firsts, first English club to win league and cup double, first English club to win a european trophy etc. We lost our way in the 90s and only in the last 4 or 5 years have only just started to improve dramatically.
We finished 5th last season, 4th the season before that and are really playing well this season. Our home strip is white tops with blue shorts and we are fast becoming the most entertaining side in the league with pace and precision being the key.
We attack quickly and in numbers but at times our defence has a lot to be desired, its improving but we can look vulnerable at times.
We have 3 or 4 Big name players who are wanted across Europe at the moment.
Thanks in advanced to anyone who can offer an opinion

What is the chance of Chelsea finishing in the top 4 with two games remaining in the EPL?

Chelsea's heroics against Liverpool last night paved the way for their champions league spot next season. They won the important game against Liverpool in addition to Spurs also losing 3 important points. The ranking table states that the top 2 positions are won by Manchester heavyweights. The fight is mainly for number 3rd ,4th and 5th positions. Well, obviously for champions league spot 3rd and 4th.The conditions for Chelsea to qualify for champions league spot are as under:-If Liverpool loses next game(72 points) and Chelsea win at least 1 game and draw another(73 points). If Liverpool win the last game (75 points), then Chelsea have to win both games (75 points) by a margin of atleast 10 goals in two games. If Liverpool draw next game(73 points), Chelsea have to win both games. Or score at least 10 goals in next game and draw last game.In case of Spurs, if they win both games(77 points), Chelsea will finish outside top four. (75 points)If Spurs lost both(71 points), Chelsea has to win at least one game to secure top four.If Spurs draw one and win one(75 points), Chelsea has to win both games by a good margin of goals.I personally think that road is quite tough for Chelsea to qualify as the matches ahead are obviously cake walk for Liverpool and Spurs. But this is English premier league, you never know what is going to happen.Edit:- This is the final premier league table I predicted. I am mentioning only top 4.

After a loss to Man United at home (14/1/2019), does Tottenham Hotspur have a chance for the 2018-19 English Premier League title? Will they be able to overtake Liverpool and Man City?

They can win Premiere League if Harry Kane recovers from his injury fast. They also don't have Dele Alli and Son. Kane is the main man of the team and depending upon the upcoming fixtures for Spurs, it is easy for them to win. Harry Kane should get fit before they face Chelsea.Spurs also have a chance to sign a striker before the transfer window closes. But due to lack of transfer activity of Spurs in recent years, I don't think that they will spend to bring a quality player. On the other hand, Manchester United against whom they lost are in a great form. Thanks to David De Gea for the stunning saves he made during the match. It was a tough game but it was United's day.Spurs will not overtake City and Liverpool but can give them a tough competition as the two clubs are in a great form.

Who will be the top 5 finishers in the english premier leauge next season?

1). Man U- Always great, next season won't be any different.
2). Arsenal- The boys from north London are comming back with a vengeance, and the young talent (Fabgregas, Bendtner, etc) will carry this team.
3). Chelsea- Will have loads of talent, but spending big bucks doesnt always mean a first place finish.
4) Portsmouth- Kranjcar and Wright-Phillips will pair up on both flanks to create one of the most dangerous and explosive midfields in Europe. Crouch will reak havoc up top and James will be amazing in goal as usual. I know this prediction seems a little crazy, but I believe they will pull it off!
5). Liverpool- A good team but always finds itself a little off pace in the title race. Torres will carry this team but one man is never enough to take a team to the top of the EPL.

If a team wins UCL but is not in top 4 of the domestic league does that mean that 5 team from the same league will qualify to UCL next year?

No. The 4th team that was supposed to qualify for the next season's Champions League gets automatically disqualified.Eg: in 2012 ,where Chelsea won Champions league being in a poor run of form in the domestic season, finished 6th. However winning the Champions league meant that they are surely going to qualify for the 2012-13 season which meant that their London Rivals Tottenham Hotspurs who finished 4th that season will be disqualified. 3rd placed team will play the Champions league qualifiers. However the winner of Europa League, the 2nd most prolific tournament, will get a chance to play in Champions league in their next season notwithstanding thier Domestic Season position and the team who acquired the last spot for the qualification for Champions League from their domestic league will still qualify unlike the case in Champions league. So there will be 5 teams or the allotted spots to that league for Champions league+ 1 additional spot for winner of ELEg: Sevilla won the 2014-15 Europa league which meant they are going to play the Champions league . However they didn't finish in top 4 in La Liga. However according to this new rule, there were 5 teams from Spain this seasonBarcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid , Valencia and Lastly Sevilla
