Can You Add A Viewfinder To The Nikon Coolpix L820

Can you add a viewfinder to the Nikon Coolpix L820?

I want to buy a good starter camera for Youtube and to just take pics outside of that. Can you add a viewfinder to that camera? and for those who have the Coolpix L820, is it any good? Do you recommend any other camera within the same price range? Also, what else do I need to buy other than a tripod, (maybe) viewfinder, and a sd card? Thank you!

I am interested in buying a Nikon Coolpix P900. What are its specifications?

If you are interested in zoom ,then Nikon P900 is the ultimate camera available in the market.Zoom is awesome @ 83x optical .Dynamic fine Zoom upto166x .4x digital Zoom.( 83 x 4 = 332x )Built-in GPS & WiFi for easy wireless transferRemote access @ smartphone.P,M,A,S & scene mode.@ ISO ranging till 6400.Manual focusing is provided but using it is not an easy job.( left side zoom buttons are assigned for manual focusing).Camera is heavy (900g +) for this segment .3" LCD is crisp & can be tilted/rotate@selfie.Eye sensor & switch for viewfinder .Eye sensor is not working via light sensitivity like in Sony which was a good option .# if you want to take a moon shot keeping your camera perpendicular and tilting the LCD pane * eye sensor cut in and LCD will be of no more use. I think its sensing object & not light .Zoom snap button is good for ease of focus while it is in zoom.Zoom buttons are provided on both sides.( left side buttons can be assigned for manual focusing also ).In bird /moon mode a Zoom switch is available.# a single click and it zooms almost 800mm.HD videos are good but autofocus is not the fastest in the segment .at zoom more than 83x you might need to use a tripod. Up to 83x zoom can be handled easy.previously I was using Sony hx100@ 30x zoom and I wanted to upgrade the Zoom.Nikon offers a lot in this package. If you are into birdwatching /moonshots/ wildlife this camera is for you.Trust me this super zoomer can take you to the moon and back ..!

How can I make slow motion videos on a Nikon Coolpix B500?

In order to shoot slow motion videos you need to shoot at a higher framerate per second (fps) and then play the resulting video back at normal speeds (24 fps, 25 fps or 30 fps depending on your settings and playback methods).Professional slow motion cameras shoot at anywhere from hundreds of frames per second to thousands of fps. According to the Nikon website, the maximum fps achieved by the B500 is 120 fps, and that too when the video quality is scaled down to 640x480. In contrast, the iPhone slowmo camera does the following:- 1080p HD at 120 fps- 720p HD at 240 fpsSo already the B500 looks weak compared to the iPhone.GoPro cameras can also shoot 240p slow mo videos at higher resolutions.I would suggest looking at different cameras if your need is to shoot slow mo videos.

What do you think about nikon coolpix L820?

Here is a full product review:  http://www.photographyblog.com/r...Here is my review:  Any camera's suitability depends on how you intend to use it.  This model is a high-end lifestyle camera (point-and-shoot) intended to be easy to use and portable.  Portability suffers from the inclusion of a long lens.  If portability is important than you may want to think twice.  The lens gives you considerable range which may offset the portability issues.  The lens quality is good within the category.  Don't expect it to perform like a $10k+ professional sports lens. The sensor is good quality within the category.  You can likely get very acceptable results up to ISO 800 with diminished results at higher ISOs.The body is plastic as you might expect but they do have a metal thread for tripod or monopod use, which may prove necessary at the full lens extension. One thing that bothers me about many of the cameras in this style is the lack of a viewfinder.  It doesn't seem like a big deal indoors but in bright sunlight you can have a lot of trouble composing your shots.  You can add a "shade" to the display but that also adds to the bulk and can get in the way.  So you need to decide if you intend to take a lot of photos while you are in direct sun.In summary, read all aspects of the full review and consider how and where you intend to use the camera.  All cameras have features that you need to weigh against your particular needs.

I just bought a Nikon Coolpix L610 16.0MP Camera and didn't realize?

Yes, you can use rechargeable AA batteries.

There's a new variety of rechargeable batteries that hold their charge for a year. The older kind, if you don't use them in 3 weeks or a month they discharge themselves. So whenever you plan to use your camera you have to think of it the night before so you can put the batteries on the charger. But the new kind, you can just leave them in the camera. They're even charged when you buy them!

They're NiMH--Nickel Metal Hydride. I haven't seen lithium ion AA batteries, and I'm not sure why.

The advantages of a proprietary lithium battery are that they are smaller, and that they sometimes last a little longer, you can take more pictures at one time before needing a recharge. But the advantage of AAs is that you can carry a spare set of rechargeables in your pocket, and in an emergency you can just buy regular AAs anywhere, so you're always able to go on.

What do you think about Nikon D90?

Nikon D90 is a good camera for any beginner. However it is to be noted that the camera is quite old now. The firmware and the interface is old and Nikon has not refreshed in quite a while. When the D90 was first launched in August 2008 it was one of the best beginner’s camera(from the Nikon camp). Even I faced this conundrum during those days. So, if you are in the market looking for a good camera in the sub Rs 50,000 category, I would advice you to definitely good for the Nikon D7000. The D7000 in my opinion is so much better that the D90. It has a magnesium alloy body (which is all weather sealed and feel so much more sturdy) , it has a better resolution, dual memory card slots, a 100% viewfinder, live view and a host of other brilliant things. The Nikon D7000 was my first DSLR, it was a great camera then and it still is a great camera today. Personally I still do not feel that I have outgrown my camera. I have never felt in my entire life that I couldn’t capture a moment or a scene just because my camera was not good enough. Crazy high ISO, a 6fps continuous mode, an endless battery (if you do not use too much flash), excellent video quality, 1/8000 sec high shutter speed the D7000 has it all. It is simply brilliant.Hope you find this helpful. Keep me posted though, would love to hear from you.

How do I control shutter speed in NIKON L820?

Not an expert on photography by any means - but I do have a slight advantage in this case - I happen to have a NIKON L820 sat in front of me on my desk.As far as I can see (and it’s been a while since I read the user instructions for this thing), you can’t manually control the shutter speed as you would with a DSLR.However, if you manually select the picture mode, some of them do have an effect on the shutter speed… “Sports” mode for example.. Every time you press the shutter button it takes a series of pictures - each one at a fairly high shutter speed.‘Nighttime Landscape’ mode does the opposite… If you tell it you’re using a tripod it takes a single long exposure shot, but if you tell it your taking the shot ‘handheld’ it takes a series of shots with a much shorter exposure time and uses the software within the camera to combine these shots into a single picture.
