Can You Cash A Check With Just The Amount And No Name Forwarding To

How can I get cash with just a credit card number?

First, this sounds illegal. Lots of people can get credit card numbers that aren't their own, few can get hard cash with just a number. If you're pursuing illegal methods of defrauding a credit card and it's owner, I suggest you do not do such things. If however you memorized your own credit card number and need to purchase or secure something in cases of emergency,That said, my personal solution to you would be to offer to buy things for your friends online. Or any way that doesn't require a physical card be presented. Many many many efforts to do what you're asking have been thwarted because of the multitude of safety checks and requirements to use a credit card.

What happens to an uncashed check after the bank account it was written from is closed?

The money is not in the check until it is presented to the bank.  Actually, the money isn't in the check ever, it just gets transferred when the bank you "cash" it at presents it back to the original bank for you.  The exception to that is cashier checks which have money set aside for each check specifically.  But even in those cases, the money is really in the account holder's account until the check is presented against it.  If a check is presented against a closed account, the bank will return it with a code that lets the presenting bank know they can't re-present it because the account is closed.  That bank--your bank--then will take the funds back from you--the person who "cashed" or deposited the check, via a debit from your account.  They will also issue you a notice that your account has been debited for the returned deposit so that you know you don't have access to those funds anymore.  They'll probably also charge you a fee.  ***Additional info not pertaining to the question***Note:  I put the verb "cash" in quotes because it doesn't matter if you "cash" the check or merely deposit it.  you're doing that against your account, so most banks will require you to have enough available in your account (plus the Reg CC amount--I think it's still $100 but I haven't worked in a bank for several years) to cover the check in case it is bad.  So either way, it's as though you were depositing and immediately withdrawing the funds.  The Reg CC amount of $100 is that "grace" banks give to most accountholders so that they can withdraw the first $100 off a check before the bank knows if the check is good or not.  This grace can be removed, as long as the bank follows the rules in Reg CC.  So if you deposit a check of $500 in a typical checking account, your ledger balance will be 500, your available balance will be 100 until the end of the float.  The float is the time it takes for your bank to contact the bank the check is written off of--supposedly.  Actually, the float is a pre-determined amount of time based on how long the bank thinks they can get away with without losing customers.  The longer they hold your checks, the more annoying it is for customers, but the safer it is for the bank.  These days, it's usually next business day, unless the bank is specifically targeting a group that has bad banking history.

Can I cash a cheque with a minor spelling mistake in it?

Bankers will verify the following details before deciding to make payment for the cheque:Date of the cheque - No alteration is permitted. In case of alteration, the signature of the drawer is required near such alterationName of the payee - No alteration is permittedAmount in words - No alteration is permittedAmount in figures - No alteration is permittedSignature of the drawer - To tally with the signature lodged with the bank and as available in the server to be seen by the system in the branchIn case of any difference in amount in words and figures, the amount as expressed in words has to be considered. However, banks will never take risk in this aspectIn case of spelling mistakes, writing in different colors, writing in different languages (the language to be known at least by anyone of the bank employees), the bankers will not mind muchFor example: the account may in the name of Ramasubramanian and the name of the payee may be as Ramasubramani. However, they will be the credentials before making payment. In case the accountholder/payee is able to provide sufficient proof for having received the cheque for some purpose, the bank manager will consider payment for such chequesThere is no hard and fast rule and everything depends upon the decision of the branch officials and they have to take right decisions and in case of any wrong payment, the concerned employees have to borne the loss which the bank had suffered. The decision cannot be generalised and it has to be considered on case to case basis only

How can I forward a check to someone else?

I received a check from my school because I paid too much for my tuition, but I would like to forward it to my mother...Is there anyway I can do this without depositing the check into my bank account and writing her a check? i.e., I just give my check to her so she can cash it for herself?

I gets many calls regarding jobs, who asks me to deposit some amount of money (1500-2500) for creating a referral before conduction of any interview. Are these reliable?

I guess, am qualified to answer this question as I have been through this desperate phase of “getting job at any cost” after my graduation.Get this, No genuine employer will offer you job without interview for some cheap money or whatever reason. If they are offering a direct job bypassing the interview and asking you to pay for that, its scam and STAY AWAY.I assume the calls you get are regarding job "interviews" in specific. There are some genuine consultancies or human resource organisations which really want to help aspirants to find Jobs they deserve. Such kinds don’t charge anything from candidates, because they will be getting paid by companies. So, if any person/org is asking money for arranging interviews again STAY AWAY.I did little search and found these links on internet. List of fraudulent consultancies / Agencies that you should be aware of.fake COMPANY & CONSULTANCIES- By IBM ,TCS&ACCENTUREfake consultanciesAlso, I strongly advise you to do your own research on the consultancy or agency you got the call from. Apparently, at any given metro city there are at least 50 scamster agencies waiting to con job seekers. While we are at it, I also want to warn you about fake certificate rackets. There are some agencies who offer fake work experience to candidates in exchange for hefty sum of money. There are lot of reasons why you should walk away from such offers. However I'd like to state just one major reason"It's an offence and the offender will end up jobless and will probably never find one in future also"These kind of offers are nothing but troubles disguised as opportunities. Some day they are gonna reveal themselves and cause you lot of painAcquire skills, prepare well for the interviews and earn your job. There are always opportunities for skilled and confident people.

Can we send money to china via western union?

All anyone needs to send money is:
1) A first and last name to use on the form as the sender's name
2) A first and last name to use on the form as the receiver's name
3) Money

All anyone needs to pick up the cash is:
1) The first and last name used on the form as the sender's name
2) The first and last name used on the form as the receiver's name
3) The eight or ten digit money transfer control number (MTCN#)
4) The test question and answer

And, all too frequently, only one or 2 of above listed requirements are actually needed to pick up the cash and disappear.

That is it, no ID required.

If you are:

1) sending money as part of a work-at-home job
2) buying from craigslist/kijiji/gumtree/forum/website
3) buying a pet or car/truck/trailer/motorhome/caravan
4) helping an online boy/girlfriend or refugee
5) paying taxes/fees on a loan/lottery/draw/government grant
6) paying visa/bank/airline/travel fees
7) paying deposit/rent for an apartment/house/condo
8) paying banker/barrister/lawyer/court fees
9) paying a transportation/courier/shipping company
10) receiving/forwarding money onto someone or some company

Then you are being scammed.

Just keep in mind that Western Union and moneygram are unsafe and unsecure ways to send money.

Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off the cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country the money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever.

If you google "Western Union scam", "fraud moneygram scammer" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near-victims who lost money via Western Union and moneygram.

Is someone trying to scam me and steal my money?

While the person who sent the check *should* be responsible, they are anonymous and in another country. When you opened your bank account, you signed papers agreeing that YOU would be responsible to make sure all checks you cashed were good. Doesn't matter if you think the check is real, the bank is not going to take responsibility, which is why they make you responsible.

Thanks for posting up that information on a scam.

Making a scammer's scam googlable on every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find is a great way to slow that scammer down when a suspicious potential victim goes looking for information, finds your post containing the name the scammer is using, his email address, phone number and the emails themselves and then that potential victim does not become a scam victim because you took the time "get the word out".

Wasting a scammer's time legally and safely is called "scambaiting". If you google that word, you will find sites where you can read scambaits, post up the emails and email addresses of scammers, post up a fake website, read up on how to alert a hosting company that they are hosting a fake website, ask questions and learn all about the hobby of scambaiting.

Since that scammer intended to steal your money, he did not give you his real life information. All you have is one of his fake names, one of his free email addresses, one of his fake stories and one of his paid-for-in-cash cell phone numbers. None of that information is going to help your local law enforcement agency track down that anonymous scammer sitting in a cyber cafe half way around the world from you.

A Photoshoot Scam? Part payment in advance, send more $, then ask you to forward the extra $ elsewhere?

Its a money laudnering scam, do not deposit this or send any money. My friend had the same thing happen to her from a modeling site she posted on. Write back to say you tried to deposit the money order but the bank said it was counterfeit, then the police showed up at your door this morning and you've been at the station for hours. Tell them the police have the money order and that he has to send someone from his agency to the police station with identification to get it back or call the police station on their own. Also say that you gave the police his name, company and email and the police are going to contact him directly so he can sort this out. And say that because of this traumatic experience, you dont want the job.
Model jobs never pay beforehand, my other friend is with a big London agency and doesnt get paid for 1-2 months after the shoot. Also even if hes travelling his agency would still have a number and there are plenty of other agents who would help set this up if it was real. And where is his assistant?
