What are some good songs to listen to while you're feeling depressed?

Incredibly good question Jerald..Two ways to view the question..are you at the introspective end of a run of depression..?Or are you at the “devastating public flogging” end of a run of depression?“Being Depressed” is a funny thing…many take the idea of depressing personal moments as primarily of a romantic question..and a more “daily” depression being more benign and frankly, of a nature that could be construed as “less consequential” in society..LOL.So I’m thinking I’m going to not worry about the “romantic/platonic” question and simply say..The clip below is something I have listened to many times over the past twenty three years..because I’m wallowing and I know I am going to continue to be depressed for hours to come..”introspective”. ..The usual funk/disco sorta’ thing to get myself out of a depressed state is something I will leave for another time. The tune is called “Damage”..it’s about a tragic break-up I suppose..however,the tune has never been that sort of tune for me..it’s just a sad tune that I love ..and indeed I listen to it at these times as I mentioned earlier..the tune is written by the vocalist, David Sylvian. Some may remember his (if you will) New Wave group from the late 70’s/early 80’s..they were called “Japan”.Sylvian is one of the greatest songwriters I have ever heard..and here he is joined by the incomparable Robert Fripp-the mastermind of (arguably) the greatest prog band of all time, King Crimson..along with the great Trey Gunn on Chapman Stick..This song could indeed be called depressed in nature..but brilliant?Absolutely.Incidentally, I also love listening to “The Days Of Wine & Roses” ..an old standard that originated in Hollywood..Many jazz musicians have performed it over the years....and Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony..especially the second movement..and if you can hear it conducted by Karajan that’s gonna’ be a plus.Best to you..

Name of wrestling movie???

I am looking for the name of a wrestling movie about a kid who has to lose a lot of weight in 3 weeks. The movie is at least a few years old. Thanks for your help!!!

My 6 year old nephew can't count, how can we teach him?

Use a lot of counting manipulatives. Let's say Cheerios. Count out Cheerios in a row or a column. Drop the Cheerios into an empty egg carton and number each carton as 1 Cheerio in the number 1, 2 Cheerios in the number 2, 3 Cheerios in the number 3, and so on. He can eat the Cheerios as a treat when he learns he new skill. Then switch the manipulative to a non-food item like buttons.

www.fisherprice.com has a ton of printable worksheets that offers a series of numbers. You can make a number book. Let's say you are working on the number 5. Count out 5 sheets of paper for your "FIVE" book. On each sheet, draw 5 objects, or cut out 5 objects form a magazine. Maybe he can find 5 cars in a magazine. Cut them out, glue them on to the paper.

Good luck!

Whats special about geminis and what are they like?

Lucky i love geminis, i wish i was one lol
Gemini is the third Sign of the Zodiac, and those born under this Sign will be quick to tell you all about it. That's because they love to talk! It's not just idle chatter with these folks, either. The driving force behind a Gemini's conversation is their mind. The Gemini-born are intellectually inclined, forever probing people and places in search of information. The more information a Gemini collects, the better. Sharing that information later on with those they love is also a lot of fun, for Geminis are supremely interested in developing their relationships. Dalliances with these folks are always enjoyable, since Geminis are bright, quick-witted and the proverbial life of the party. Even though their intellectual minds can rationalize forever and a day, Geminis also have a surplus of imagination waiting to be tapped. Can a Gemini be boring? Never!

Since Geminis are a mix of the yin and the yang, they are represented perfectly by the Twins. The Gemini-born can easily see both sides of an issue, a wonderfully practical quality. Less practical is the fact that you're not sure which Twin will show up half the time. Geminis may not know who's showing up either, which can prompt others to consider them fickle and restless.

They can be wishy-washy, too, changing their mood on a simple whim. It's this characteristic which readily suggests the Mutable Quality assigned to this Sign. Mutable folks are flexible and go with the flow. Further, the Twins are adaptable and dexterous and can tackle many things at once. It's a good thing, too, when you consider their myriad interests. The downside of such a curious mind, however, can be a lack of follow-through. How much can any one person do, anyway?

How long do freckles that are caused by sun exposure last?

Any tanning is sun damage. It doesn't matter if you don't get a burn, if you're getting tan, you're damaging your skin. If damage is what you're concerned about, I'd advise you to aim for getting no tan at all; that's truly the only way to prevent sun damage.

However, if you're looking for a tan without darkening your freckles, my advice would be to keep the areas where you freckle most either out of the sun or covered with a high SPF. (ex: Freckle mostly on your face? Wear a hat in the sun & use a higher SPF. Shoulders freckle? Use an SPF 80 here, a lower SPF on the rest of your body)

If your body naturally freckles when exposed to the sun, there's not much you can do except for avoiding exposure & putting on a high SPF. Most freckles caused by the sun tend to fade along with your tan, but be careful...repeated exposure can cause permanent "sun spots".

I wear at least SPF 50 when I go into the sun, & I still manage to get a bit of a tan (sunscreen should be applied every 2 hours, more often if you've been swimming/sweating). If you tan easily, I'd say anywhere from SPF 30 to SPF 50 would get you a bit of a tan; if you're fairer skinned, you could probably wear up to SPF 80 & still tan (if you burn a lot, use a higher SPF! Sacrificing a bit of a tan is much better than sacrificing your skin!). Just remember, if you're getting tan, you're getting sun damage!!

Hope that helped a bit!
