Can You Help Me Find The Perfect Hair Color

What happens when you mix two colors of hair dye?

First of all are they the same type of hair dye. Because the level of lift will change if the developers are not the same. If your just talking about the actual colors (assuming they are not Highlift or have any kind of lightn boost)send me the name of the color in letter number format and the brand so I know if it's a demI-permanent or semi or just your average permanent. For example:matrix (brand)socolor (color line)504 n (500 series is a super pigmented color that has both lift/deposit action to blast open the stubborn grey hair and really stain it, ideally for 50%-100% grey)(the ā€œnā€ after the 504 indicates the undertone being neutral and the ā€œ4ā€ is the level of color, which is dark brown)this color Is mixed 1:1It's sold in 3oz tube and its technically 2 applications per tube. Good money saver.to mix a secondary color the level of the color: 1=black 12=white blonde would either darken or lighten the pigment quantity. Then the undertone which is the letter marking will now create a new color, or cancel out a color just like complimentary and colors on a color wheel do (ex yellow + violet)If your mixing brands and developer volumes it is not recommended because each line is only formulated to work with that line, but I've done ignoring in the salon and it's fine if you know what your looking for and don't mix a higift with metallic color like henna and bleach or your looking at a chemical haircut. Aka hair melting off.If if your just mixing like blue and red then same as a colorwheel you will make purple. Based on the type of blue and red it will be a different purple. Ex: true red and a aqua will lean towards a more red based purple.i don't mind telling you exactly the color you will make if you send me the exact name brand and color level like I listed above. let me know the number of developer also if it's not all from a box Hair color. Ex: 20vol.

Whats the best way to mantain a hair color?

here are some wonderful tips
# Apply a deep conditioning treatment to your hair a few days before coloring to help moisturize your locks. The better condition that your hair is in the better the color will take to your hair.

# Do not apply color to freshly shampooed hair. You want to have your hair unshampooed for at least 24 hours before applying the color. Your natural oils will help to make the color application more successful.

# Use a color enhancing shampoo to help keep the color alive longer. These special shampoos for dyed hair help to keep your color looking great until the next time that you dye it.

# Try to avoid swimming in chlorine pools and long exposure to the sun. The sun can fade your hair as well as the chlorine.

# Keep your hair well conditioned to help the hair stay soft since dyeing it can dry it out. Conditioned hair holds color better than dry hair so make sure to condition regularly.

# Try washing your hair only every other day instead of every day. Washing your hair to much strips the natural oils that your hair produces and takes shine away as well as fades the color. If you have oily hair then try using baby powder to soak up the oils on the days you don't shampoo your hair.

# After you wash your hair try to rinse it with the coolest water you can take. Cold water helps close the cuticles and keep your color in so it last longer and will be shiner as well.

# Of course make sure that you choose the right kind of hair coloring product that you want. There are semi-permanent, demi-permanent or permanent, so check the box before you buy it to make sure its the one that you want.

What color hair does Eva Pigford have?

If you get a good stylist, than you should be able to print out a picture that you like of Eva Pigford and than show it to her and say: "I absolutely adore this color, do you think it would work on me? And could I get this color?" If they're truly a stylist, they'll be able to look at your skin tone, face shape, and hair style and help you find the perfect hair color for you. Print out a picture where you like her hair and bring it in. The stylist will be able to help from there. Good luck, though!

And I loved Eva too.

Temporary hair dye help?

Wow sweety, let me give you my point of advice. I'm a cosmetologist.
Is your hair naturally that color or colored?
If your hair is naturally that color, then go for Manic Panic's Divine Wine:
http://www.manicpanic.com/best%20hair%20color/divinewine.html
It will just wash out after a few weeks with no damage. Normally costs less than $10 at a local beauty store...

But if your hair is colored... Red flag.
burgundy and red tones are the hardest to get rid of, and no matter how much you wash your hair the brassy orange/red will stay until you color your hair again eventually and even though the actual red will wash off, there will still be tones in there, regardless of it being semi-permanent...

Temporary dyes will work like Gels and sprays (Also sold in local beauty and drug stores), but if your hair is porous and damaged, guess what? That's gonna stay on too.

So just be careful when playing around with hair color that you don't want on a long run. Just to prevent any future extra chemicals in your hair. (If it's just for Halloween, I'd suggest a wig, and don't mess up that pretty color in your hair)
