Can You Score My Sat Essay

Will you score my SAT essay?

Due to spelling and grammatical errors (check your comma use and make sure the verb tenses are consistent), I would guess this is either a 3 or 4 out of out of 6...you do lose points for those errors. You have some great ideas but I would try to elaborate on them some more. For example, at the beginning of the second paragraph, you mention that growth in ideas and education have grown in importance among societies. *How* has this exponential growth in education and ideas allowed today's common man to have greater influence on history?

You then mention how the Internet has grown in importance over the past 10 years. It is unclear whether or not you intended for this to be an example of the "exponential growth in ideas and education" or a new thought altogether. Also, how exactly does the Internet allow a man to broadcast his ideas and create history?

Try elaborating a bit more in the conclusion as well...instead of "our every day actions", mention something a little more specific. Why do our "every day actions" make history while the "every day actions" of people in the past didn't? Also, I would avoid using "in summary" or "in conclusion" -- instead, make use of transitions to let the reader know that they have reached the conclusion.

One more tip -- you might want to state a position in the first paragraph to give your essay a clearer focus. Who were these "truly great men"? Why did they have a greater influence on history? And then the rest of your essay could explain how the exponential growth in education and ideas has allowed the common man to have greater influence in creating history. Make sure to relate it back to your thesis. In an essay like this, it is important to have a clearly defined argument (or position) and make sure all of your examples in the body paragraphs develop it.

That would add a bit more meat to your paper and raise your score! Good job, you're on the right track. Sorry for the essay in response, but I just wanted to help out my fellow common man, hehe!

Can you score this SAT I essay on a scale of 1-6?

4.5/6

The structure of the essay and the grammar are very good.

I like the content of your 1st, 2nd, and 5th paragraph. Your 3rd and 4th paragraph are very general with no supporting examples.

Can someone score my SAT essay?

5-6 (a little hard for me to decide, cuz I'm not an official, or anything):
-Clear thesis
-Compelling examples
-Convincing
-Impressive diction
-Thesis is clearly stated in the introduction
-Clear examples
-Good use of transitions
-Conclusion ~ I personally find it hard to end my essays.

You did a great job with your essay, but I'm not sure if you have that much space to write on the real SAT ;) Your essay was clear and to the point. I liked how you used a personal connection, which strengthened your essay. Remember, two people will be scoring your essay, and you could get a range from 4-6 for this essay. (BTW 6 is the highest for each scorer) I think you'd score high on the essay part of the test if you keep up this good work

Can somone please score my SAT essay?

Historical figures also can present imitation as a blockade towards great imagination. Known for his universal theory, Galileo had refuted the once held community belief of the Earth being the center of the universe. Stated by the Church’s council, the community fell to believe this notion and mimic every theory developed by the church without further inquiry. Refusing to be part of the bevy of gullible individuals, Galileo chose to vigorously investigate in his theory of the Earth as not the center of the universe. After finally having accumulated the telescope, he refuted the Church’s through his concrete evidence. Had Galileo chosen to be one of the gullible individuals imitating popular belief, science today might have not advanced so far.

topic: Are widely held views often wrong, or are such views more likely to be correct?

When important events in life arise, people tend to look only towards the perspective of what most of the population sees. The cause of this notion may develop from the fear of the way others may preserve them. The quote “what is always popular is not always right” comes to show that popular opinion necessarily does not prove it is true.

Take for instance the popular film The Dead Poet Society. The school in this story had put tradition and reputation before creativity and education until Mr. Keating arrived. As the new English teacher, Mr. Keating taught his students to open their minds and follow their hearts. This idea seemed to influence one of Mr. Keating’s students, Neil. After Neil had tragically committed suicide, the head master abruptly blamed Mr. Keating for Neil’s death. The headmaster’s idea was that Mr. Keating filled Neil’s head with “foul” ideas which led to Neil’s death.

Can you score my SAT essay please?! (0 to 6) (0 being the lowest and 6 the highest)?

4/6
Here's why
- 1 Grammatical error ("when their is"). Graders look poorly on such mistakes.
- Strong thesis, but somewhat insufficient development of ideas.
- 1 punctuation error ("nation however watching it")
- Argument error - Opposing rivals forming a "cohesive unit"? The nature of elections are adversarial. Debates expose opposing viewpoints, driving rifts between people of different political views. Televising said beliefs accentuates the differences. Does not bring them together.
Language was good but not really good enough for a 5 or 6

I scored 1540 in the SAT but my essay score was 18. Should I retake it?

Thanks for the A2A. I think a 1540 is a pretty good score, congratulations! This puts you in the 99th percentile of all students and makes you competitive for a host of elite colleges, including Ivy League schools and top 20s. I would not take it again; I would instead focus on other parts of your application. The SAT essay is graded by three graders, with a score between 2 and 8. By stating 18, I am assuming that you received three scores of 6 (because a score of 18 under the 2017 SAT essay guidelines is not possible.)I would’t worry about the essay. A six isn’t far from 8, and if you’re scoring a 1540 on the SAT, chances are you are a pretty decent writer elsewhere (on essays in schools, on your admissions essay, etc.)Hope this helps and good luck!

As compared to Galileo’s discovery, life experiences as having a major influence in an individual’s life can also be seen through the character Hester in the novel The Scarlet Letter. After time passed gradually, the town fathers came to a decision to allow Hester to withdraw from the title given to her. Surprisingly, Hester reacted to this notion with dismay. As a result, Through her experience as a condemned individual of society, Hester learned that she had to take responsibility for her own actions, eventually keeping the tile given to her as part of her life.
