Can You Write Me This With Letters In German

Host Family letter to Germany!?

OK, I've hosted 13 students now and looking for my 14th.
Not to put any pressure on you, but that letter is the most important part of your application! Your prospective host family will pour over it looking for every tiny detail about you!

The most important thing is to tell the truth! Your family is picking you because of what they read in that letter and on your application. If you tell them that you don't smoke for example, and they find out that you do, that's bad. You get off on the wrong foot!

Here's what I like to read:
Tell me about your family and your relationship to each member.
What rules are you used to in your home.
What is your school like and what are your favorite classes (and why).
Do you like sports, which ones? Music? etc.
How do you spend your free time?
Describe a typical day.
And finally, why are you doing this? What is your motivation?

Here's a great site on exchange students in general! http://www.exchangestudentworld.com/

Good luck and have a great year!

How do I write correctly motivation letter on German?

Thanks for the A2A :)Working in a retail job in Germany requires a good command of German (intermediate level (Level B1) at least) since you will have a lot of contact with customers who - and I can assure you that - do not want to talk in English even if they speak it perfectly well. If you are on that level then you should be able to write a motivation letter yourself - there are plenty of standard phrases and stuff for that on the internet. You can post it here or send it to me via PM and I’d be glad to correct it but it would not be helpful if I/we wrote it for you. Also, as Herbert Pittermann mentioned, you should come up with something that makes you stand out from all the other applicants. This is especially important since most of your competitors will be Germans who speak the language and are likely to be salesmen by training. And, by the way, make sure that your visa allows you to work in Germany!Speaking about circumstances: Keep in mind that Munich is one of the most expensive cities in Germany and that a part-time retail job won’t be enough to cover your cost of living. Make sure that you can afford living there without relying solely on that job!

How do I write a romantic or love letter in German?

Hey,You can try using German to English translator maybe, it would be easier for you. Lol..I have just tried helping you with the same:In German:Meine Geliebte,Ich weiß, dass ich meine Liebe schlecht ausdrücken kann, aber ich möchte das tun. Sei mein für immer ♥In English:My Love,I know I am bad at expressing my love but I so want to do this.I know it's a bit silly, but I thought I'd try anyway. You have had the most magical affect on my life. There was this feeling of inexplicable joy in my heart and I knew it at that moment that I needed to tell you just how much I love you. Forgive me, for I am not a writer, and may not know the best way and the best words to use. All I do know is that I love you and that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, all I ask of you is to continue loving me and I promise you that I shall do everything in my power to take care of you and love you till the end of time.Be mine forever ♥—ZohZaar!

What are your tips to end a letter in German?

What are your tips to end a letter in German? There isn't much to look after to end a letter well. Just write “MfG” (Mit freundlichen Grüßen, translates into with kind greetings) or “Dein {place name} (“Your {place name}” (to end a very personal letter, usually a love letter).I know my answer turned out pretty short but I don't think there is much left to say.

Need translation of how to write this letter in German/ auf Deutsch?

@do-anh - your translation is Dutch and even a wrong online-translator-Dutch.

This is a translation to German. It's not very literal, more like you would say it in German (while trying to keep the connotation and the dictum of you text):

Hallo mein Freund,

Alles Liebe

Writing a letter in German, how do you translate "Dear All"?

I'm replying to one of these generic Christmas card e-mail thingies, but I want to reply to everyone at the Company, like in English you would reply to "Dear All".
The rest I'm fine with - I'm just not overly confident with my greeting :-(
Thanks!

What should the contents of a cover letter in Germany be? What are the things to remember while making one?

First of all you can create master cover letter mentioning all the subjects you have learnt during masters, projects and intenrnships, bachelor and master thesis, professional experience.Once you are finished with master cover letter, you need to keep on modifying it according the job position you are applying for. You can not use one standard letter for every company and each job position.Once you have decided to apply for certain job position, remove the subjects, internships which are not at all related to it for your cover letter. Now you have eveything in your letter which impress the hiring manager. This way you will clear the first screening process which is most of the time computerized process. In this they try to find best applicants by setting filters with the key words required for the job.Now at the start of your cover letter mention your reason to apply for this job position. Try to mention something about the company too. This shows that you have done proper research before applying. For every internship and professional experience try mention how it helped you to achieve or learn something.Read job ad carefully and if they have asked for possible entry date and expected salary then do not forget to mention that.If you are an international student then do mention about your German and English language skills. If your German language skills are B1 or below B1 then it’s better to write cover letter in English. If you write it with basic German that would not make a good impression. And if you write it in fluent German then they would not believe you. Mentioning German proficiency as B2 or above and writing the letter in German makes sense.Use same color combination as your resume for consistency.Address your cover letter to contact person given in job ad. If it’s not given then address it to Human Resources.

In German, does "ich" have to start with a capital letter like "I"?

No, ONLY when you start a sentence.
Ich liebe Kuchen. (I love cake)
Meine Freunde und ich gehen gerne shoppen. (My friends and I like to go shopping)

hope this helps :)
