The idea is only a small part of it. Facebook ripped off MySpace and friendster. So how was it wildly more successful than those two? Snapchat was just functionality that everyone was already doing through picture messages and crap. Instagram just took a small aspect of what many many other social media sites around the world were doing for years. So how much do you think ideas matter? I mean of course they matter. However, the devil is in the details. Fine tuning an idea after you "come up" with it will change your idea drastically and may even shift your perspective of what you want to do. You learn a lot after conducting a couple months of research after all. What you really need to worry about is your team. You dont need a big one. And if your really super talented you may not need one at all. But its ALWAYS better to have multiple talented people to work with. ALWAYS. Screw the money. Just draft a contract and split up your equity shares appropriately. You won't see a single penny if you can't get past that part. Is that what you want? Software goes through continuous changes and chances are your idea will too. Just find a damn team and build... SOMETHING! Anything slightly useful you think people will need. Back up why you think its important with research. In the end, its the work that makes a company. Not whatever idea you think is good right now.

it is 2:43 in the morning on a school nite. im 13 and i am bored out of my mind. i cant fall asleep and not an ounce of me is tired. all i have to do is sit on my laptop. ive been constantly checking facebook.(everyone is asleep) listened to music, and watched porn. there is nothing tht i can think of. please help me think of something to do . i am very very very bored and just want to fall asleep from doing something on the computer
