Careless Operation Should I Pay It

Careless operations ticket in Louisiana?

I've never had a careless operations ticket before and I got it by hitting the back of another car. Obviously I'm at fault because I rear-ended the person, but my question pertains to what happens in the court room.

I have to make an appearance at the Mandeville court soon and I wanted to know if they're going to revoke my license when I plead guilty. I also want to know the set-up of the court room. Will it be full of people like when you go for a speeding ticket or is it just you and a judge? Does the judge ask simply 'are you guilty' like in a speeding ticket situation or will he ask for details?

Can someone please answer these questions for me? I want to know everything I can know about careless operations court before I get there.

Summons for careless operation 4+ years after the fact in Louisiana?

On June 4th, 2007, I was involved in a single car accident. I lived out in the country and worked in the city, so my commute was long and the accident occurred at dusk. An animal ran out into the road and I swerved to miss it. When I did, I lost control of the vehicle and hit a culvert at approximately 55-60 mph (speed limit was 55). My truck was thrown into the air, hit a telephone pole, and resulted in a broken back. Needless to say, I was doped up pretty good in the hospital, and vaguely remember the State Trooper coming into my hospital room and asking me what happened, but I don't remember ever being ticketed. Heck, I don't think I ever even opened my eyes when we were speaking because I was so doped up. It's possible that I signed for a ticket and just don't remember because of all the medication, but why would I just now get a summons for court? If I was ticketed in 2007, why was there never a bench warrant? Any advice?

Is Careless operations any points in New Jersey?

I received a citation for "Careless Operations on Tpk" "(19:9-1.17)

Instead of checking off the 4-97 Careless Driving, he manually wrote in Careless Operations on Tpk below in the "Other Traffic/Parking Offense" section. Is this the same as careless driving? Will this result in motor vehicle points in court or insurance points?

Is there any charge I may be able to drop this to?

Thank you.

What does "careless vehicle operation" on a SC uniform traffic ticket mean?

Carless vehicle operation is generally a fine only ticket and will carry points only if you get a ticket within a year of the date of that ticket. Unfortuantely it will raise your insurance rates because it is what they call a " Chargable Offense".

Good luck!

Concept Albums? Like 'em, Love 'em, Hate 'em, could careless about 'em?

well...i dont care much to be honest...music should be good at the end of the day...but i do like albums where a song leads into the next...feels nice somehow..

considering i am a fan..i prefer the ones that have a story (bcz there a song flows into the other)...thematic concepts r cool too...DT's Octavarium is a better example of such a thematic concept..

MA2 : The Wake of Magellan by Savatage! i love the album...and the concept!

MA3 :

Is it unfair for teachers to take away points on exams for careless errors? Should a student get the highest possible grade if they show full understanding of the content even if they make careless errors?

Working in a university means I’ve had this conversation with colleagues a few times. I suppose it depends on the subject - if they’re studying English then it’s reasonable to expect perfect spelling and grammar, but for other subjects making yourself understood is more important even if the language isn’t quite right. Not in the Medical School where I’m currently employed though - small errors as a doctor could cost lives, e.g. hypo vs. hyper or mixing up units and prescribing an overdose.Having said that, many of our students in the Computer Science department are from overseas and often it’s not their knowledge but their language skills that let them down as they know their stuff but can’t express it in English in a way the examiner can understand. I’d say bad spelling and grammar shouldn’t be marked down if the intent is still clear, but when it starts to affect comprehension then it inevitably will be penalised indirectly as the examiner simply can’t understand what they’re trying to say. There’s one particularly memorable story a colleague and friend told me. He’s Chinese but has lived in the UK for 30 years and speaks perfect English. A few years ago he received an essay from a Chinese student and read it thoroughly several times, only to find it didn’t make any sense. He went back to the student and told him this, and the student said it was because English isn’t his first language so he’d written it in Chinese and translated it.No problem, said my colleague, give me the Chinese original and I’ll read that. The student duly did, only for the Chinese version not to make any sense either. This guy had basically written gobbledygook Chinese and then translated it into even more gobbledygook English, and with Chinese to English translation being dubious at the best of times I dread to think what resulted! He probably would have got away with using that excuse on any other lecturer but he chose to use it on the only one who could speak his native language. I don’t know what grade he got in the end though.

What is your opinion about the quote, "women and children can be careless, but not men"?

It is depending on what context you are talking about :—Children can be careless.Men can be careless about emotional love but not as husband and father , as they have sole responsibility of family in monetary terms and they play it very well not counting the exceptional cases.Women, I personally think can't be careless when it comes to emotional love to their children but sometime can be careless about caring for husband and that also because they are concerned for their child more.Apart from all these it depends on person to person. Many children can be less careless compared to men and women. However I feel women are least careless in most of the field. If they are focused they are not careless but if they're not focused they do not care at all.

What should i do about a careless driving ticket for rear ending someone?

I understand your frustration here, as I've been there too years ago. Unfortunately, the cop is correct when he gave you a careless driving citation. It doesn't matter what speed you were going at the time of the accident. The fact that you were unable to stop short before hitting the car in front is all he/she will look at. They maintain that you need to be a certain distance from any vehicle in front of you, regardless of speed, so you can avoid hitting them should they stop suddenly. They deem you to be "careless" and not paying "due attention" if you collide with the car in front. You should just pay the fine and move on. The claim on your insurance will probably increase your premium; but it will not, unlike the other answerer here, lose you your coverage. Good Luck!

Sorry that you feel we're being "useless"' here with our replies! You can, of course, fight the ticket in court. That is your right as a citizen in our court system. However, be careful that you put together a case that stands up! You will need diagrams, witness statements etc. to present your case, or the judge will think your pleas are "useless" and throw out your case and fine you anyway!
