Cetaphil Nozema Or Simple

Why is Cetaphil so expensive? And is it any good?

YES. I work at a derm office and this is the one brand they recommend to just about everyone. I use it myself as I have very sensitive allergic prone skin and it is the only thing I can safely use on my skin. It is a brand that is very gentle and good to the skin. When I answer questions about skin on this site, I ALWAYS recommend Cetaphil. I agree they can be pricey...you can find it at Walmart at probably the lowest price available. I use the wash and lotion and cream and it is the only brand I use on my skin other than Dove for sensitive skin...and that isn't too cheap anymore either.

Cetaphil or Noxzema for acne...?

I did some research about my acne/skin & mostly the reviews were positive for both.
I was wondering if anyone used any of these brands & how it was like for you.

~thanks

Which is better: Cetaphil or Noxzema?

I buy Noxzema and it does a great job.
It is cheaper than Cetaphil.
But I heard Cetaphil is really, really great.
My general doctor told me I should use Cetaphil.
So which is better do you think?

Noxzema vs. Cetaphil?

Noxzema is Super minty I find a bit average not favorite I prefer Biore or Loreal face
acne cleanser is good.

I have many tiny pimples on my entire face, except on my nose and the skin beside my eyes, and they make my face appear very dull. How do I get rid of them?

I understand what you going through. I have been there too. Yeah , they are confidence killers . I suffered for over a year and here it is what i started doing , and more importantly i stopped doing!!!Do's and Don't sCut your nails : Seriously do it , you will soon realize what changes it will bring.Stop touching your face now and then. You are contaminating your skin as your hands touch so many things which has germs.Dont try home remedies. I did it , and i regret it till date. Blame YouTubeDrink lots of water and stop eating dishes with hot spices.Clindamycin Phosphate gel : It is a key ingredient in cream/gel which will reduces those black spots and scars left back by pimples. Visit a Skin doctor and surely he will give you this prescription. I used Clim gelAntioxidant tablets/capsule : I was prescribed to use AAISO capsule. Tasted awesome, smells like chocolate. Wash your face regularly. Use scrub face wash after coming home from outside.

Is cetaphil soap good for acne?... What does it do?

it's a heavy moisturizer for dry skin.

You can get zits from dry skin, because your body overproduces oil which gets in your pores. If this is your case, it will help acne.

If your skin isn't dry then it will cause acne on your face from blocking pores.

I get huge red embarrasing pimples and I put stridex on but I still get them please help!?

What you need to do is get Noxzema Triple clean: Antibacterial Lathering cleanser. Wash your face two to three times a day, and follow up with the Noxzema triple clean: Salicylic Acid Pads.

It will clear and tone your skin. I was getting cystic Acne around my cheeks and forehead, but after using it for a month, my skin is completely clear. It doesn't over dry my skin and I follow up with Cetaphil as a moisturizer. The Lathering cleanser will run at about 4.99, the SA Pads too! Cetaphil is about 12.99. But trust me....its better than spending your cash on Proactive or any of these other over priced products! and at least its over the counter and you have easy access to it. And if it doesn't work, you wont feel so guilty about the money you spent. But I doubt you will be disappointed!

The trick is the ingredient Triclosan! Forget products with heavy BP and SA. SA isn't so bad, but only if it is in the toner you use!

Pimples are caused by bacteria under your skin! Triclosan is a bacteria killer so it's great! It also fades away acne scars so that is a plus!!!

Drink lots of water and always wash your hands!!! Don't touch your face and stay away from fast food!!!

Why does Cetaphil moisturizer burn my face?

Dear Nural,Thank you for asking. You are probably sensitive (allergic) to the moisturizer.Look at the ingredient label and begin to determine which chemicals probably cause the burning reaction.I am sensitive to glycerin and any petroleum products. Those are the second and third ingredients in the moisturizer. There are also several different alcohols in the ingredients list. I am also sensitive to any kind of alcohol.Everyone is different. But those are good places to begin. For skin care which is kind to sensitive skin, please check out Black Tulip Artisanal Skin Care. I designed it to heal my own super sensitive skin.

Which cleanser better? Noxzema original deep cleansing cream or Cetaphil?

I have combination skin, young and have acne prone skin. I heard noxzema is really good from some people and some say the ingredients are harsh. Which is better for skin based on ingredients, effect on acne prone skin? I have both of these cleansers and I want to stick with one because I keep switching products. :)
