Changing Screen Resolution In Windows 7

How can I change my screen resolution to 1280x1024?

I have a Windows 7 computer.
Last year I downloaded Latale and when the game starts It says something about the screen resolution.
I tried to adjust the screen resolution but I can't adjust it.I can only adjust it to 1024x600 or 800x600.
Today I decided to play Latale but i'm wondering if they updated the game so I don't have to worry about adjusting the screen resolution. If they didn't how can I adjust the screen resolution to 1280x1024?

Screen resolution changed after exiting game.?

I was playing Modern Warfare 2. The game resolution was set to something smaller than my desktop resolution. when I exited the resolution of windows became such that everything is now very small.

I played around with the screen resolution but eventually settled on the one "recommended" by windows 7.

I checked, and it IS the native res of my monitor. when i press "auto" on my monitor, Windows doesn't fill the whole screen and there is a black margin about 2" thick on the left side of my screen.

When I've played other games in the past (Counterstrike, Battlefield, etc.) the screen comes back to windows and then a second later flashes and returns to the normal resolution.

please i really need help. my icons and the taskbar have definitely shrunk. i don't want to just ctrl+mousewheel my icons back to normal because they don't all increase and it looks ugly. i need a real solution.
thank you in advance. i tried googling this but came up with nothing. it's a hard thing to search for.

btw: i have an HD5800 with the latest drivers and CCC.

Screen Resolution Changes on its own Windows 7?

Hello, My screen resolution on my computer is 1680 x 1050 and when I turn on my computer, my log-in screen appears to resemble this. However when I log into my administrative account the resolution becomes very poor, yet it still says that it is 1680 x 1050, even when I go to adjust the resolution it still remains at a lower resolution. I have a second monitor(for an extended display), and recently my computer identified it as the main display and I had to manually re adjust it(I will bring this back later). I restarted my computer in safe mode, and was able to put my resolution to its original settings, however when i restarted the computer, like before after I logged in the resolution just went back to some lower quality. I then made another account on my computer that was not an administrator, and the resolution (like safe-mode) was exactly what it was supposed to be, but every time I log into my administrative account it just goes to some really crappy resolution.
The size of my icons in the crappy resolution is the same size of the icons that the second monitor's resolution would dictate. I think that for some reason the resolution of my main display is somehow stuck on the secondary display, only for this account.

My fail safe is re installing my OS but I would rather not. Please help

My screen resolution changed on its own... how do I change it back?

Okay, so I left my ASUS laptop on while I was eating lunch (I left some Google Chrome windows on as well). When I came back, the screen--no, EVERYTHING looked different! My screen resolution downsized to 800x700 pixels. I thought I could get it back to its largest size, which was approximately 1300+x800+ (I forgot, but I am 100% sure it was more than 1024x768 pixels). But it turned out the largest I could set it is at 1024x768 pixels! It became a bit sticky and slow as well.

Right now, I'm scanning for viruses that could be in my laptop... but I was wondering why did this happen? I am also looking for a way to change it... if there is any.

Thank you, in advance.

How to change Rohan Online screen resolution before we play it?

I use mini laptop to play on windows 7, it opens finely and i can log in in the game but when it reaches to character selection menu the button was missing because of the big screen resolution....

My Windows 7 screen stretched, even after setting it on the recommended resolution of 1600x900 (highest). How do I get it back to normal?

I cannot write a detailed answer using screenshots using my mobile as it does not support the scripts. But I can give you ideas to fix it..1. Roll back the resolution to minimum. ie. 800x600..2. You will find an option to select. Streached, center, thumbnails, full screen etc.. Select full screen.3. Increse the resolution supported by the screen.Hit apply and ok.Let me know if it works or not.

Windows 7 stuck in 4:3 resolution on 16:9 tv monitor?

I want to put my laptop onto a 16:9 tv monitor.

My tv monitor only supports HDMI, whereas my computer only supports VGA. To fix this, I purchased an HD VGA/YPbPr to HDMI converter box that appears to have worked fine, with the exception of the aspect ratio.
With resolution set to 1280x720 on a 720p, 16:9 tv monitor at 60Hz (completely compatible with the HD video converter box), it remains within the 4:3 aspect ratio no matter which screen adjustment setting I use on the tv monitor.

If we were to go with a simple circle, it always turns out looking like a vertical oval.
I've tried EVERY screen resolution size, and to still no success. I've tried finding out how to manually adjust screen ratio through the graphic properties, but to barely any improvement.

Is there a possibility that I can manually adjust/override the screen ratio, no matter what the parameters?
Or have I missed anything crucial, or even downright simple?
