Check If This Sounds Proper For A Greeting Card

How do I check which sound card my computer has in Windows 10?

2 ways:Right click on the start button. Select “Device Manager”. Check under “Sound, video and game controllers”.Type “msinfo32” in Cortana box. This open the “System Information” app. Check under “Components->Sound Device”.

How do you respond to people posting on your Facebook wall to wish you Happy Birthday? Is it necessary to like or comment on every post, or give a collective message or doing nothing is fine?

I click "like" on all the happy birthday posts that I get, although some may get liked the day after. This is what the birthday post means to me:"Happy Birthday!" = "Hey! I was browsing Facebook and I saw it was your birthday. I took this time to remember you and reflect on how we know each other."Liking this post = "Thanks for the birthday greeting! I too took a moment to remember you and I thank you for remembering me."I never post the "Thanks to everyone who wished me for my birthday! I feel so loved and blessed!"Those are just the worst. To me, that sounds narcissistic and serves to alienate or guilt trip the people who forgot or didn't post in time because of time zones.

How do I say the following sentence: “please find attached herewith my resume”?

It sounds turgid and looks like some thing taken from 'A guide book to officealese'.‘I have added my resume as an attachment'Is cleaner. Or simply--I have attached my resume.

$10,000 for a home recording studio. What should I buy?

Ok so I plan on spending $10,000 on a home studio. Not all at once but over a short amount of time. I plan on getting a Mac Pro with a lot of upgrades which will be $4,700. I will be getting Pro Tools at $250, Reason at $400, an SM57 at $99 . I already have a synth that doubles as a midi controller and I have rack effects processors and the Antares Vocal Processor. I would like to get an interface with at least 8 plug ins but I don't know what kind. I plan on recording and making all types of music. So what all should I get with the remaining $4,450?

My parents won't let my poor cat ever come inside, what should I do?

My cat used to be able to come inside; about 2 years ago, my parent's started getting used to the cat being outside so they just left her there. I've had this cat for about 7-8 years. Even if I just bring the cat in a couple feet to pet her, my mom or dad will start purposely yelling so the cat will get scared and run outside. They say the cat doesn't like being inside, because whenever I try and bring her in she will go straight back outside with the slightest sound; but I know it's just because she's not used to it. My parent's are aware that the cat needs shelter, because I have informed them, but they try and make any excuse so it seems like what they're doing isn't wrong. My dad bought a small cat house for when it rains, but then when it rained he brought it back inside because he said the house was getting wet on the bottom. My parent's don't even really say why they don't want the cat inside, but I think it's because they say she scratches the furniture. My cat has never once had an accident in the house; she has always used the litter box. I just want some advice on what I should do? I don't want to just sneak the cat inside, because then my dad will get really upset if he finds out and will start yelling again and scare the cat. I just can't help but be very disappointed in my parents and I don't even feel like talking to them.

Thank you letter for my teacher?

Sounds great Stacey...very genuine and to the point...not sure if your teacher has a sense of humour and/or if you would be comfortable with this...but I would consider submitting a letter with edit, possibly in red, showing how you and/or someone else reviewed your work...it would signify your progress as a literary learner...she might get a kick out of it...I will offer a few edits below.

Dear Miss ******, (IF YOU ARE WRITING WHAT LOOKS TO BE A SHORT (BUT SWEET) NOTE OF A LETTER...WHICH IS GREAT...KIND OF IN BETWEEN A "BURDENSOME" LETTER AND A GREETING CARD...YOU MIGHT CONSIDER WRITING JUST "MISS *******" VS. "DEAR MISS ******" ...ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU INDICATE YOU ARE KIND OF CLOSE TO HER...DEPENDS ON YOUR WHAT YOU FEEL...AND/OR HOW YOU THINK SHE'LL FEEL...NOT A BIG DEAL.....anyway...

Dear Miss ******,

Thank you so much for being such an amazing teacher. Having you as a teacher has truly been a great learning and life experience for me.

I can hardly believe how far I've come -- to cap things off I got an "A" in Higher English -- "Hooray!" I actually cried when it happened. I know that I couldn't have done it without you. :o) Throughout everything, you always had faith in me and continually spurred me on, even when I didn't have faith in myself -- especially then -- and for that I will be forever grateful.

These past two years have been truly exceptional, and how time has flown by. I will always remember the fun times I/we all had in your classroom, especially the group activities and the many interesting and unique ways you came up with to enrich our learning experiences. You are truly an inspiration to me -- both as a person and as a teacher. If I end up being even only half the teacher you are someday, I will be a delightful success.

I will miss being your student. OR I will miss you. OR I will miss being in your classroom.

Thanks so much.

Stacey

P.S. My email address is *email address*. I hope that we can keep in touch, especially in my journey towards my goal of becoming a teacher. If you ever need a volunteer please let me know as I would love to come back! I know that there is still a great deal I can learn from you. :o) Take care.

SO MUCH FOR A FEW EDITS!....BUT ALAS, ONLY YOU CAN MAKE THIS LETTER YOUR OWN. :o)

How to recognize a family name of a Japanese person on his/her English busines card? For example: Tetsuo Ogawa?

If you are not sure, you can always ask the other person for confirmation.

I just checked the business cards of my Japanese acquaintances I met during work - most of them have their names written on both sides of the card.

The side written in English follows order

The side written in Japanese follows their usual order

So in your case, Tetsuo is first name, Ogawa is the family name, so no problem to address him as Ogawa-san.

Edit: I suppose there might be Japanese people who keep their order on their English business card, though I have personally not met anyone like that.
