Chemistry Help And Thank You

Chemistry Help!!! thank you

Decreasing the pressure of N2 gas over a solution decreases its solubility in the solution. According to henrys law the pressure of a gas above a solution is directly proportional to the concentration of the gas in the solution.

A 0.70M glucose solution has a lower vapor pressure than pure water. The vapor pressure of any solution is lower than that of the pure solvent. The vapor pressure is lower because fewer solvent molecules can vaporize due to the presence of solute particles on the surface.

A 0.70M solution of LiBr will have a higher melting point than a 0.50M solution of MgBr2. The LiBr has a molal concentration less than MgBr2. The more concentrated the solution lower it's melting point is.

A 0.70M solution of Libr will have a lower boiling point than a 0.50M solution of MgBr2. The LiBr has a molal concentration less than MgBr2. The more concentrated the solution higher it's boiling point is.

Chemistry Need Help Thank You?

When an aldehyde is oxidized by O2, what kind of compound is produced? Specifically, when CH3CH2CH2CH2CHO is oxidized, what molecule is produced(sketch)?

If anyone can i would appreciate it and i know you have to sketch it dont know if you can add an image but if u can do it on microsoft paint..ill really appreciate it and you can send it to TPHAN125@yahoo.com

Chemistry help please and thank you?

In the formation of an ionic compound a metal atom _____ electrons, while a ________ atom gains electrons. In the process, the metal atom acquires a ______ charge, while the nonmetal atom acquires a _____ charge. This process takes place because both atoms tend to acquire ___ electrons in their valence shell for them to resemble the electron configurations of the ____.

Chemistry help please :)) thank you!?

For the reaction
? NH3 + ? O2 → ? NO+? H2O ,
what is the maximum amount of NO which
could be formed from 11.61 g of NH3 and
7.02 mol of O2?
Answer in units of g.

Chemistry help please!!! thank you so much!?

Spiffy Arrgon Pirate: You left a 0 out of your concentration when you converted it to a fixed-point decimal, and presumably also when you put it into your calculator (this is why you should use the Exp or similar button so you can enter 4.56 x 10^-10 rather than 0.000000000456, and why we use scientific notation in the first place). Since the concentration is between 10^-10 and 10^-9 mol/L, the pH clearly must be between 9 and 10.

Also, it IS possible to have a negative pH. This happens when you have a concentrated strong acid. For instance, HCl at 1 mol/L will have a pH of 0, and at 5 mol/L will have a pH of around -0.7.

Chemistry help please? thank you so much! <3?

What mass ....
What mass of O2 is produced when 44 g of
Na2O2 react?

2Na2O2(s) + 2H2O(l) --> 4NaOH(aq) + O2(g)
44g ................... .................... ............... ?g

44g Na2O2 x (1 mol Na2O2 / 78.0g Na2O2) x (1 mol O2 / 2 mol Na2O2) x (32.0g O2 / 1 mol O2) = 9.0g O2

The answer can only be expressed to two significant digits.

Chemistry help please and thank you! =] ........ How much heat energy is needed to raise....?

1. Use

E = mct

where t is the temperature change

E = 425 * 0.897 * ( 200 - 25 )= 66714.38 J

66714.38 J of energy is absorbed by the 425 g of aluminium

N.B. a positive value since the the process is endothermic (since you want to increase the temp. of the substance)

2. mol of Al = 425 / 27 = 15.74 mol

66714.38 J of energy is absorbed by the 15.74 mol of aluminium

then , amount of energy absorbed by 1 mol of Al = 66714.38/15.74 = 4238.52 J/mol

Hence energy required is 4238.52 J/mol

Chemistry help needed, please and thankyou!?

(305 J) / (0.128 J/g·°C) / (75.5 g) = 31.56°C change

20.0°C + 31.56°C = 51.6°C
