Cinnamon And Coconut Oil

Dog ate coconut oil!?

So my 12 year old sister has a very old daschund. She’s had him since she was about 4 and he has very very bad breathe. I mean it’s unbearable! So last night she read that mixing coconut oil, cinnamon, and baking soda and brushing his teeth with it would help. So she did that, only she used HAIR coconut oil instead of raw organic coconut oil, which we have in the kitchen. After she realized that she’d done she freaked out and started crying thinking he would die or something, but we reassured her that it was okay. This morning the dog wakes up crying in pain. (Not sure what word to use to describe the sound. The same sound a dog makes when you step on their paw) no one was touching him or anything. He was lying alone making the noise over and over. He’s Been doing it on and off all day, which is not normal. This can’t be related to the coconut oil can it??

Does coconut go with cinnamon...?

I am making a breakfast porridge/oatmeal recipe that has lots of warm flavors like cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar...but it calls for

How do I modify this cinnamon bun dough recipe to use coconut oil and coconut milk instead of margarine and cow's milk?

I would go with a one to one replacement [coconut oil in place of the margarine and coconut milk instead of cow’s milk] and don’t add in all of the flour in at one time, leave a half cup of flour out [you will want to use AP {all purpose flour}] and only add enough flour to keep the dough from sticking to your hands and the table and it should work for you, just be sure and properly proof the rolls before you bake them.

I want to make a candy bar out of coconut oil. What can I add to it to raise the melting point and make it more solid?

All I know is that the melting point of coconut oil is generally quoted as being 76 degrees F (24 C). If the temperature is above 76 degrees, the oil will be liquid. If the temperature is below 76 degrees, it will become solid. This is really a generalization. You may want to try this No Bake Coconut Bars:Ingredients to prepare:2/3 cups unsweetened, un-sulphured shredded coconut2 cups raw walnuts (substitute almonds or walnuts if preffered)1 cup dates, pitted1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt1/2 cup organic extra virgin coconut oil1 tablespoon orange zest1/4 teaspoon cinnamon1 tablespoon organic coconut nectar syrup or raw honeyDirections:Evenly spread shredded coconut on an ungreased baking sheet and toast in a preheated 350-degree oven for approximately 2 minutes. Stir, and cook for 2 more minutes or until the coconut is lightly golden and fragrant. Remove coconut from baking sheet so it does not continue to brown.Put nuts on the same baking sheet and place in the oven for approximately 5 minutes or until they are fragrant.Place the coconut, walnuts, dates, salt and cinnamon in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is crumb-like. Add the orange zest, organic extra virgin coconut oil and organic coconut nectar syrup.
