Bugaboo Bee Owners?

I dont have the bee, but I just was wondering if you had actually tried folding down the cameleon or if you were just going off of other user reviews. I highly recommend actually playing with any stroller you consider before purchasing it. I made sure I could fold the cameleon down myself while i was still in the store, and found it to be very easy and I'm fairly petite. You really dont have to take the seat off unless you have a really tiny trunk. I have a small suv, and dont fold it down at all, just lift the whole thing and set it in the back! On a trip shopping the basket held all my packages fine too..its a little tricky with the bassinet on, but easy enough to work around. Anyways, I love the stroller, handles great. Like I said, I dont have the bee..but to me it looked like a basic umbrella stroller, I appreciate the functionality of some of the other models a bit more and just wanted to make sure you were passing on those based on heresay. that said, of course go with the one that fits best for your needs. good luck!

Bugaboo Bee Reviews?

Hi I have the Bee and so far I like it. Before having my own baby I worked as a Nanny, so I've used MANY strollers on the market. In the bugaboo series I've used both the Frog & Cameleon. For my own daughter, I started with the Cameleon and sold it to purchase our Bee. So far I've got no regrets. For apartment living it's perfect. Bumping the Cameleon up a flight of stairs a few times a day was really wearing out my back. Although the Bee's not much lighter it's much narrower and easier to get in and out of our house. The ride is not as smooth as the Frog or Cameleon but it feels a lot more nimble. The wheels aborb bumps in the city very well. I'm still getting the hang of the fold. I have the seating facing me which I think makes for a more difficult fold. I found their other strollers stiff in the beginning as well, so I'm hoping things will loosen up. The sun canopy is fantastic. It certainly protects more than most strollers. The canvas material is water resitant and dries quickly when wet. Downsides, I was surprised to see these two flaps on the seat. They seem to cover my daughter and hold her arms in. I called Bugaboo to complain because they are not in the photos of the Bee on the website. They informed me that the flaps are their for safety. To me they don't seem to have any purpose but annoying my daughter and I'm planning on cutting them out. My only other complaint is unfolding the seat. Sometimes its lopsided and I need to adjust it. Upsides: smaller, good design, stylish, fantastic sun canopy, great five-point harness, perfect for the subway and getting in and out of taxis, good four position seat, good steering & shocks, nice underseat basket, and most of all fun to push. Is this better than other strollers on the market? Depends on what your looking for. As far as a good city stroller, a Maclaren would work just fine, to me the difference is mainly the reversible seat and front suspension. Both of which I really appreciate. If I had to rate it out of five stars I'd give it a four.

How do I remove the canopy from my bugaboo bee?

You need to undo the buttons at the back of the seat, undo the elastic loops in the front corners of the canopy and pull the wires out. The canopy comes up beautifully in the washing machine. Just let it dry in the shade or indoors overnight so it doesn't fade. The Bee is the best stroller ever, we love ours!

What is the difference between the Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller and the Bugaboo Frog stroller?

Hi there. I own two bugaboo frogs and i love them!!! We were given one as a gift and i fell in love with it. then we found out we were having twins and i just went and bought another one to match! It is very difficult to find a frog these days; it is the original bugaboo pram. The cameleon has taken over and has had a few adjustments - the handle bar is adjustable, more colours available, new fabric and more suspension on front wheels, but that is it. Basically they are the same pram in dimensions and specifications. I chose the frog because the original fabric is much stronger than the new polar fleece cameleon fabric. It is also much easier to wash and does not ball as some polar fleece tends to. My sister bought the cameleon so i have seen this happen. I had to purchase mine from the US but that didn't bother me. They are both terrific prams, and the bassinet is excellent. A lot of people have pushed my prams and both men and women have commented on how easy it is to push around. Well worth spending that bit more and they have really good resale value - just check out Ebay. Have a look at the official website and check out the new bugaboo bee pram. They both fold down to almost nothing, which is great. The acessories are really good. The footmuff is a must have! Let me know if you have any more questions.

That is an excellent, wonderful question. How do bees get pollen from flowers:This is mutual interest. The plant needs to get the pollen on the flowers (in order to pollinate other flowers of the same species), the bee needs to take the pollen (in order to use it as a protein source). Obviously it’s not a matter of planning but co-evolution between the two species. There are different ways in which the bee may “communicate” with the flower to trigger the flower to release pollen, these vary between species (of flowers and bees). On some cases, it is the frequency of the bees’ wings flapping that could trigger that release (thus only working for certain species of bees), on others, it’s a small electrostatic charge exchange as the bee approaches the flower. The exact mechanism varies, and frankly, I think not all of it is fully known to us yet.The bee then directs the pollen to its pollen baskets - the area of its rear legs. If you watch a foraging hive for a while, you can look at the returning bees with full pollen baskets. The bees carry the pollen wherever they need it - the hive for social bees, the place where the eggs are laid for solitary bees. For honeybees, the pollen is stored in cells in the hive, typically close to the brood chamber (so the nursing bees can consume nectar and pollen in order to feed the larvae and the queen without traveling too far from the brood chamber to get those). How do bees choose which flowers to collect the pollen fromBees would typically forage on the flowers they can find. Each bee tends to develop the “taste” for a specific species of flowers, that type of loyalty makes the pollination more efficient (and in turn, encourages the plant to attract and reward pollinators, thus encouraging the co-evolution). How bees find the flowers in the first place is a fascinating and complicated process, involving color, scent, pheromones left by previous bees on the flower (either as “come here to feed” or “I was already here and took what this flower has to offer, go elsewhere” type of message). For honeybees, those returning to the hive use the famous bee-dance to inform the other bees where to go (as in “fly 30 degrees right of the Sun for 900 meters”). The bees that follow the dance catch the scent of the flowers from the dancing bees and look for that scent once they arrive at the described location.
