Computer Sound Not Working Through Tv

Can any help with my TV sound not working?

In the event its just the built in speakers that are fritzing, if it has a headphone jack on it, try pluggin in a pair of head phones and see if it stops happening with that. If it continues it means the internal sound board/controller is damaged. It should be easily fixed, with a new part.

If you don't have headphone jacks on it, at the back of the TV are 2 RCA jacks that say "Audio OUT".....

You can plug a cheap pair of computer speakers or a stereo into these with the right cables which can be found for a few cents on monoprice.com. See if the audio still gives problems coming thru these speakers. If it still gives problems its the internal board and u need to change it.

If it keeps working thru either of the above mentioned, u can invest in some cheap good sounding speakers like the Logitech S220 on amazong for 30 USD and they sound loud and great, and plug right into the headphones jack or the "Audio OUT" rca jack on the back with a cheap adapter.

Hooked up netflix from computer to tv using HDMI...sound not working?

Netflix sound stopped working on my computer... help?

Aside from the obvious question of asking if you have the volume turned down or muted in Netflix itself, what's probably happened is you have turned down the volume for your browser.

In the system tray, click the volume icon and click Mixer.

Make sure that the volume for your browser (IE Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome) is turned all the way up.

I'm assuming you have sound in other applications, and just not in netflix?

Do you have sound in Youtube?

My suggestions are, try Netflix in another browser, and uninstall Flash Player and reinstall it.

If that doesn't work, try launching your browers in safe mode or disabling addons.

Finally, verify your speakers are plugged in! I wouldn't be a Dell guy if I didn't tell people to make sure something was plugged in right?! Lol :)

Why is my sound not working?

Sounds like sound drivers arent installed.
Go to: Control panel>System>Device Manager>Sound, video, and game controllers.
Right click your sound device, and click update drivers. That should solve your problem, and if it doesn't try downloading the drivers directly from the site. I know dell has them up for grabs on their site.
Good luck!

Nintendo wii sound does not work?

Make sure the AV cables are in. If the audio one isn't plugged in, then there is your problem. Make sure both AV cables are plugged in and that the television volume is not on mute and up to a reasonable volume.

Send your Nintendo Wii into the Nintendo Company and they will fix it for free.

Why is my HDMI cord not working with my TV while connected to my desktop computer?

Have you tried a different cable? Assuming it is not a faulty cable, the resolution setting of the computer output needs to be set to match the TV - which is most probably 1080 if a recent flat screen. Check your TV manual for its native resolution scale, format and frequency. Try to match it in your computer’s Control Panel or System Preference Display settings. It might also help to switch ‘mirror display” off. The computer’s LCD panel settings will generally be if a higher resolution than TV’s can manage. Good luck.

PC to TV HDMI audio not working?

I just built a new pc today and cant figure out why my audio isn't being played. I have an Asus m3n78-vm mobo with an AMD athalon 64 x2 processor with 1 gb ram on Windows 7 rc. the mobo has a build in HDMI port and i connected it to my tv and the picture comes out fine, but i cant get the audio to come through the tv speakers. is there something i am missing. in addition, i tried to download new driver updates from the site, but whenever i download the drivers and try to install them, it says that the operating system i chose (Vista 64) isnt correct and thus cant install. Asus doesnt have Windows 7 drivers, so what should i do. is it the drivers is the problem? btw the tv speakers work because it plays audio on my xbox 360 and cable. also the hdmi cable works fine because i swapped the hdmi cables with the xbox 360 and they worked fine.

Why won't my TV play sound when connected to my computer?

Ensure that you default audio out device is listed as HDMI.Here is a link to show you how:https://goo.gl/yW3Qc1

Why does my PC sound not work after disconnecting the HDMI from a smart TV? I already reformatted the computer and reinstalled the necessary drivers.

I agree with Rafael, You should first check the settings.Typically Windows saves “states” based on several combos of audio visual settings when it comes to HDMI and USB, and other Plug and Play Devices. Example: I plug my HDMI in my computer automatically switches to a 2 monitor set up. If I also plug in the USB to my port replicator, it switches to a single monitor setting. It should do similar to Audio.By default, if HDMI is plugged in it senses the HDMI and switches to Audio output via HDMI device. Now, sometimes it doesn’t sense the plug in or pull out or at some point a setting was chosen when your computer had certain items plugged in. It is sometimes helpful to go into the settings for the Audio devices and make sure that audio device is selected and activated. Quite often, assuming no other driver bugs, etc. you should be able to have the computer going forward assume those settings next time you plug in/pull out the device.
