Conservatives Has The Gop Tried To Force Obama To The Right Yes Or No

If Obama walked on water, would Conservatives criticize him for failing to swim?

They would complain if he fed everybody with a Horn of Plenty because it would raise the deficit and kill jobs.

Conservatives, why did GOP Senators kill the "Bring Jobs Home Act" when it didn't have any pork or earmarks?

When we punish our job creators, they stop creating jobs.
If a company sends jobs overseas; it actually creates jobs here. Think about it. If a steel mill shuts down here and then opens up in China - somebody has to man the ship to bring the steel from China. Somebody has to unload the steel at the dock. Somebody has to truck the steel to where it's needed.
It doesn't matter where a thing is made; because ancillary jobs are just as important.
By forcing our job creators to pay higher taxes to produce things here in America, less Americans get employed (because it costs too much), and those secondary jobs go away. If a steel mill in Cleveland produces steel used in Cleveland, who needs deckhands on the ships, or port workers, or truckers?
I know, Capitalism is complicated.

Would Obama's policies be considered right-winged or Republican if he was president during the 80s or 90s?

Yes.  The President he most closely resembles (in terms of policy and world view) is Eisenhower.  Eisenhower was reluctant to commit US troops to foreign wars--got us out of Korea, avoiding committing to Indochina/Vietnam.  Eisenhower railed against the Military-Industrial complex (some rhetorical similarities to Obama and his arguments with economic fairness).  Eisenhower didn't seek to eliminate government.  He tried to find common ground in the middle of positions.  He implemented a number of National programs (Federal Highway system, Civil Rights Act).  He failed to do anything about some extremist Republican actions (the Red Scare/Joe McCarthy).Specifically with Obama, he's been less "environmentally friendly " than Nixon and Ford were.  He's done less on gun control than a couple of other Republican Presidents.  His immigration policy is very consistent or to the right of Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush.  Where Obama has acted in ways that wouldn't be considered similar to GOP policy of the 80's and 90's would be drone actions and special operations into countries we're not at war with (Yemen, Somalia).  You've seen other Presidents of both parties us special ops but they've usually be isolated to a few incidents.  ACA is a big departure b/c while John McCain had national healthcare in his platform in 2008, it wasn't mandatory for everyone--otherwise the GOP has consistently opposed expanding widespread access to healthcare from the 1980's on.  George W. Bush (with the elimination of the donut hole and then HIV drugs to Africa) would be the GOP exception.

Can liberals and conservatives compromise with each other?

Liberals should compromise on their anti-markets, anti-business, anti-rich people beliefs, and then conservatives should compromise on their anti-gay, anti-choice beliefs.

Liberals stay out of conservatives wallets. Conservatives stay out of liberal bedrooms.

It's called compromise and it will make everyone more happy.

Are Conservatives being racist when they call the First Lady a "Wookie", "Sasquatch", "Gorilla", and "Animal"?

those that do so are racist

How did "Conservative" become synonymous with "Sociopath?"?

They learned that they can get away with it because a large percentage of voters are gullible and apathetic. Bush basically admitted it when he said that you can fool some of the people all of the time and those are the ones to focus on. He tried to cover by pretending it was a joke, but that really is the modern Republican philosophy.

[Edit]
Wow, Jacob, you've been spending too much time listening to Rush Limbaugh. The Republicans are the ones who keep trying to amend the Constitution to outlaw gay marriage, flag burning, and abortion. The Democrats haven't suggested anything of the kind. You "conservatives" (and I use the term very loosely when speaking of neocons) don't realize just how insidious these amendments are. Allowing the Constitution to be altered to legalize discrimination against minorities and outlaw the freedom to disagree with the government would destroy the entire foundation of our freedom. If any one of these amendments were passed, the United States would go from "the land of the free" to the land of tyranny overnight.

I agree that the word "sociopath" was well chosen. What else can you call someone who profits from wartime contracts as shamelessly as Cheney did? The government was founded to serve the needs of the people, but these leaders want to exploit the people to serve their own selfish needs. Anyone should be able to see that that isn't good for our country or our citizens.

Liberals (and Conservatives), why do lefties hate Bush so intensely?

This was by a poster on the History Channel message board - and this guy made a lot of sense - so I thought I would show you his post:

Why do Liberals hate President Bush so much?
By John Hawkins

Why do they hate him so much? They'll give you every reason in the book for it, but in my opinion, most of it is really all about four things:

#1) A lot of Democrats felt cheated after Gore lost in Florida. Were they cheated? Absolutely not. But, they FELT cheated and they got angry at Bush because of it.

#2) Many Republicans absolutely despised Bill Clinton and part of the animus towards Bush is just payback. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this is really the primary driving factor behind the impeachment talk. They're desperate to try to impeach Bush, for anything and everything they can come up with, because the Republicans impeached Clinton.

#3) During the Vietnam war, the libs protested incessantly, they spit on soldiers, and they became radicalized. It's the same dynamic this time around, except back then, it was Lyndon Johnson who was really responsible for getting the war into full swing. So, there was more bi-partisan blame for them to spread around. The war in Iraq is Bush's war all the way and so most of the venom is getting aimed at him.

#4) The Democrats are out of power and that's making them more bitter, more willing to accept conspiracy theories, and more angry at the guy who has beaten them, George Bush.

Bonus Answer: The left has actually been nasty, angry, and vicious for a long time now. For example, they absolutely hated Ronald Reagan's guts and had few qualms about saying so. So, why didn't people notice it more back then? Because there wasn't a new media out there to report it and the old media, as they do today, protects "their side." A kooky or vicious comment by a liberal is much, much, more likely to be buried, minimized, or completely ignored by the MSM than a similar comment by a conservative. The difference is that now there's an alternative media that reports things that would have been swept under the rug 10 or 20 years.

Is President Obama guilty of treason?

Don’t believe everything you read…The Republicans spent years investigating Hillary and never found anything that she did that was a crime. Now they are starting on President Obama, probably one of the most honest people that has ever been president.Believe This…There is nothing that the Republicans won’t distort use innuendo or outright lie about. They will do anything no matter how evil if they think it will enhance their position. The will kidnap kids from their parents and keep them in pens, they will accuse people of crimes that they know they are innocent of, the will cover for anything up to and including treason if it’s one of their own.And they will accept a career con artist who is a mentally ill, maniacal egotist with absolutely no morals or a trace of compassion as their leader. At the same time, they are ready to take health care coverage away from millions of people in order to give a tax break to the wealthiest members of our society. When they controlled the House they covered up all the evil things that Trump was doing and now they are doing their best to make sure that we never find out about it by blocking the Mueller investigation report from the public. The United States is going down the tube and it’s because of them.So don’t believe everything that you have read, (including me) do your research and see the truth for your self.If it was up to the Republicans there would still be people who have worked their entire life living in poverty with no Social Security, no health care and no food. They are doing everything they can to get back to those days.
