Consistent Hand Pain/weakness

Why do I feel constant pins and needles in my left hand?

Impossible to tell from that alone. Is it the whole hand or only part of the hand?If it's only part of the hand, which fingers are affected? Is there any associated pain? Any associated weakness? Is there a shooting sensation from your neck?Have you lost any muscle mass in your shoulder or hand?Do you have any muscular tenderness anywhere? Is the sensation in your hand symmetrical in all nerve territories? Are your reflexes normal, accentuated, or diminished?Any weakness when you oppose your thumb to your fingers, when you flex your fingers, when you abduct your fingers? There are too many things it could be.I guess what I’m trying to say is, go see a doctor!

5 yr old chinese crested dog, sudden weakness in hip/leg. Anyone have an idea what it could be?

For starters, yes I have a vet appointment for tomorrow.

This is a 12lb powderpuff crested male. He started showing symptoms of lifting/limping on his hind leg and not applying pressure to it. Figured it was a bee sting or the like, but have since ruled that out. He has normal resistance in the leg (pushed back into your hand), no signs of pain with manual flexing on the leg either. This morning, he's starting to "wobble" in his rear end and is unstable, and is standing under neither himself, back legs together, still reluctant to put pressure on the one. It appears more of a hip pain now, with a somewhat "crouched" posture in the rear, but still no sign of pain with manual manipulations. And this dog is a wuss, he'll cry out at the slightest pain, so if working his leg hurt, we'd all know it. He was tested young and had shown no signs over the years of hip dyspepsia. Up until this incident, he was running, playful and hopping around on his back legs, etc. Anyone have a thought was to what could cause this?

(He's on baby tylenol at the moment per the vet, which seems to be helping some.)

Pain in my wrist off and on?

You might want to see a doctor. You might have some form of arthritis or - nine times out of ten - you have carpal tunnel syndrome. See www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/carpal_tunne... It's a condition that affects your wrists. In short, it starts gradually with pain, weakness or numbness in the hand and wrist, radiating up the arm. Eventually it starts to get harder and harder to make a fist or grip something in your arm. It can get really bad if it goes untreated. There are some wrist bracelets that you can use in the meantime. I have a friend who is a waitress, who suffers with carpal tunnel. She used a wrist bracelet, and got somebody to waitress for her for a while ... it got better, until she started up using her wrists again. The wrist bracelets really helped her though. And even if it's not carpal tunnel, you might want to look into getting a wrist bracelet. It'll really save you in the long run!!!

Don't get surgery ... it can screw up your hand even worse than it might already be!!! Believe me ... I've waitressed myself, and I know a lot of people - both bartenders and waitresses - who are going through this. If a doctor suggests surgery, try hard as hell to get a second opinion ... a chiropractor can probably help you if it's that bad off. He'll cost a little, but it'll be worth it if it saves you a ton of bills, and a messed-up hand, from surgery ...

Does pain in left hand ring finger mean something?

Aside from the other answers, are you experiencing any numbness or tenderness in your forearm muscles/tendons connected to ring finger? A chronic nerve impingement in your neck (ruptured or degenerative disk, etc) can manifest its effect as pain, numbness, or weakness that translates down from your neck, through your shoulder and rotator cuff and down your arm to your fingers. Of the various symptoms that I mentioned, weakness is probably the most serious and likely merits a trip to the doc. Hopefully, it’s just an acute condition/local injury of some sort.

Does masturbating cause muscles weakness, muscles loosening, stamina depletion, weight loss, decrease in strength, (if I'm missing anything, please be free to bring it to my knowledge), and how many time should a man masturbate in a week, without negative impact?

Many studies have shown that masturbatin not only does not affect your body, but also have lots advantages. However, I think you should listen your body rather than those studies. For me , I have been doing it for almost 10 years and I am 24 now. I have constantly hit the gym and do the heavy squat and lots of jumping. Even though I exercise a lot but I still feel tired.I have tried to find out the reasons. Now, I can conclude my fatigue is due to masturbating.Doing it make my body recove slowly. Also I think it is asdversely affecting your mental mind and thus your body.Doing it makes me feel no energy all the time. I could not focus on my study or other thing. In addition to energy, I do not feel confidence because I am doing sth bad everyngiht. Moreover, it will associate it with happiness. SO every time your feel bad, you need happiness you do hand job.My advice is to listen your body. Those studies are just for reference

Slight Numbness, Heavyness, and pain on left side of body?

So it's happened twice already. I'll just wake up, or it'll just come out of nowhere. It starts from the pinky and it's a slight numbness, then it radiates through my arm and leg, and sometimes my neck. It sometimes makes my breast area hurt too just on the left side. I thought it was a stroke at first, but the doctor said my heart was okay. They took an ekg last time I had the symptoms it was less severe but I still had them non the less. My arm feels heavy and hurts a little right now. somtimes it makes my leg tingle a little. But I'm fine other then that. I'm not confused or dizzy or slow. I do get weak for now reason occasionally but thats my whole body. It's terrible these symptoms because I convince myself it's a heart related problem and begin to give myself a panic attack. As of now, my leg my arm and my shoulder and jaw all feel slightly tingly hurt a little and are a bit heavy. do you know what this is? or could be?

Does consistent masturbation before the completion of puberty affect testosterone levels or seamen production?

Hi Luca, from what your describing of your growth it sounds like puberty might have slowed to a crawl. At 19 you will need supplementation to get it started so that it will complete. Whether you masturbate or not, it is not going to affect things.

My recommendation is that you go and see an endocrinologist. An endocrinologist is someone who studies and works with the bodies hormones. Depending on what is going on you may need more than just testosterone and might also need human growth hormone (HGH).

But the first place to start is with seeing an endocrinologist and asking them to run a full hormone panel to check the levels of your hormones. Based on the results of your hormone panel they may choose to run other tests to rule out other possible issues.

The reason I recommend an endocrinologist over a general doctor. Is that a general doctor is trained a little in a lot of everything, which is good when your sick. But when it comes to puberty we know it is controlled by hormones and the endocrinologist is the best way to go.

Good Luck!

Has anyone received Aranesp injections for anemia or myelodysplastic syndrome?

I've had it after chemo treatments made my counts drop...
It wasn't too bad...kinda stings when they inject you....I had sort of a weird side effect...I got muscle spasms...my hands cramped up and got these weird "catches" in my sides....we know it was from the drug, because of the time frame between the chemo treatment and the injection....
I always get weird side effects....just my luck!
Good luck with your treatments!!!
