Contacts All Gone After Putting Sim Card Back To Original Phone

Lost all my numbers after putting sim card into a new phone?

i got a new phone the samsung tocco lite and i lost all my numbers when i put the sim card back into the new phone. It was the LG ks350 i think black silde up phone. i was just wondering is there any other way i can get my numbers back i'm with vodafone ireland now was o2 ireland and i really need this number because it was important to me please help thank u

I have nextel i580 phone now and i want to put my contacts on it from old sim card but it is asking to enter?

for the please enter special code error message there is actually no special code. what u will need to do is put the original sim card back in the phone and turn it on. if it still says please enter special code with the phone powered on pull the battery out of the phone. leave it out for 30secs an put it back in and turn it on. after this it may still have the same error. if it does u will need to leave the phone powered up for an hour and it will do 1 of 3 things, it will either continue to say please enter special code, it may says subsidy lock or it may just start working again. if it says special code or subsidy lock it it doesnt clear after 24 hrs u will need to take it to a service center and they will unlock it(they may tell u to call technical support but i can tell u there is nothing they can do at the call center but have u go back to the center) as far as copying ur contacts they will also do that for u at the service center u will both of ur sim cards and the pin codes for both. but over all that error message means that the sim card u put in the i580 is not compatible with ur phone.

Can i put my old sim card into a new phone?

Yes, My auntie just did last week. Her cell phone just stopped working and the cell phone company(Cingular now is once again ATT. I really wish they'd make up their mind. I think this is the third time ATT has bought Cingular. Its wrecking havoc on our lives!!! LOL...........) sent her a new phone and told her to put her old sim card in the new phone. So, it's totallly cool. :)

I recently switched from an iPhone 5s to an iPhone 7. When I got the new phone in the mail, I just put the old SIM card in the new phone and it worked fine for me. I read on AT&T’s site that iPhone 6 and higher supports HD Voice and Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and WiFi Calling. I noticed later that day that those features weren't working on my new iPhone and that i was unable to activate WiFi calling. After digging around on the internet and not making any progress I gave up and called AT&T. They told me the reason those features weren't working is because I had to use the new SIM card that came with the new phone. After activating the new SIM card I was quickly able to enable WiFi calling and was able to use VoLTE and HD voice. You don't even have to call AT&T to activate the new SIM card, it can be done from a browser. Hope this helps!

I stupidly changed SIM cards from a deactivated phone...?

and now the texts on my regular phone are gone?
ok, so a while ago, i thought i lose my RAZR so i got a new one a bit later i found my old one. I just recently remembered my old RAZR and took it out so I could change cases, but I was bored so I changed SIM cards too, to see what would happen. I took the SIM card and battery from my current phone and put it in my old one (after I took out THAT battery and SIM). It turned on and I looked but all of texts were gone and only my old contacts were there (I didn't save my contacts to my SIM, just to the phone).
I then put the regular battery in with the old SIM card to my regular phone because the old battery was dead. It turned on but said "unregistered SIM card" and something like "wrong battery". I put my regular SIM back into my regular phone with my regular battery, and all of my contacts, pix, and games were there but my recent calls and all of my texts (recent AND saved) were gone. Is there any possible way to get those back because some of those texts were very important to me. Thanks!

How do i put all my phone numbers on my sim card?

I wouldn't do that since using the SIM card is limited to how much you can store & how much info per contact you can store.

The only benefit I could see is easily keeping them if/when switching phones, but storing them online through services that companies like Apple, Google & Microsoft offer isn't worse for every other reason.

Anyway in the Contacts app or Settings app (assuming you have a smartphone) there should be the option of importing or exporting, though usually its to import from a SIM.

First of all open Contacts App.This will look like above one.2.Click on the 3 dots.Click on Import and export.Try all the option in the Import and export. If that works then, don’t forget to Smash the UPVOTE Button.

If I transfer my SIM card into another phone, will my texts still be on my old phone when I put it back in?

It just depends where your messages are saved to. You can save them to the sim card itself or the phone memory. Usually you can store around 20 messages on the sim card, then the remainder are automatically saved to the phone memory.

In short, your texts are more than like to be stored to the phone memory. Therefore, they will be available when you managed to sort out a battery for your phone.

Hope this helps :-)
