Can I use Media Center remote to control Xbox?

Mmmmm, I think so. I know for a fact you can switch it on with the controller. I did that all the time.

EDIT: Yes you can. But you may have to punch in a code or look up the instructions of your particular media remote to find out how it works. But a lot of the functions won't work - you'd be better off just using the controller.

Teen on birth control?

I don't think its a bad idea for contraceptives to be given out in health class or at the nurses office. I think we live in a society where we don't want to talk about teen sex, teen pregnancies or about homosexuality. Its all there and its all happening whether we like it or not. We as a society should be open minded because look at what being closed minded has caused, teen sex is happening and teen sex parties were really big when I was in HS, homosexuality is very common and can't be put in the back of the closet, and teen pregnancies are on the rise and are starting at a very young age. A lot of parents and society feels that if we hand out birth control at school's than it leads to child promiscuity, well I say pre-teen sex is on the rise whether we like it or not and no condoms and birth control don't prevent STD's, but they can make some difference and why don't we start small and work our way up to something better. The problem is that these aren't provided for teen girls and teen age girls getting pregnant has become a horrifying reality.

in my first afsb.. at mysore.. they allowed Candidates.. give that they were on time.Don't know about other boards… you can ask on helpline or someone who's previously done so. But try to go by institute bus.. it gives some really awesom feeling.

Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Recent findings from the Center for Disease Control (2007) reports?

Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Recent findings from the Center for Disease Control (2007) reports that 1 out of every 150 children have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). For decades until as recently as 1997, the best estimate for the prevalence of ASD was 1 in every 2,000 children with more recent studies in 2000 and 2002 showing prevalence ranging from 1 in 500 to 1 in 166 children.

Discuss whether you think this psychological disorder is actually increasing at such an alarming rate in our children. Why might this be occurring? What other factors could there be that provide some explanation to this massive increase in prevalence rates of ASD in children?

Concerning World Trade Center..please answer this question?

ground control, IE ATC, has the primary function of providing separation from other traffic and not to tell the pilots how to find their destination. on a clear day, like 9/11, navigation by basic map reading would have been very easy, however, given that the hijackers in question had a basic aviation knowledge, they would have most certainly used the aircraft's GPS or ground based navigation stations that are dotted all over the world. if you have the correct frequency, you can home to any beacon you want to. pilots do it every day and all without the help of ground controllers.

If you have an interest in space and science, you should enjoy it. Space Center Houston has exhibits that change fairly often and you can find out what is available on the website (Space Center Houston). The shuttle carrier is onsite now and the shuttle mock up will be installed on top pretty soon. I'm not sure how they are to visit right now but when the exhibit is finished, it should be worth seeing. This is, also, where you can get a tram tour of JSC. I have never been on the tram tour since I worked at JSC but I am familiar with the stops. You will see the Apollo mission control room, Building 9, and the Saturn V. Building 9 lost some of its appeal when some interesting pieces were removed after the Shuttle program but you will see a mock up of the ISS where astronauts train and you will likely see some of the latest robotics projects including SEV and Robonaut. If you are short on time or money, you can see the Saturn V for free and without escort; simply tell the JSC guards you are going to Rocket Park and they should let you into the small parking lot near the guard station and Saturn V building.image source: File:Saturn V building Johnson Space Center.jpg

Does Gun Control Really Work? | National Center for Health Research Effective Gun Control MeasuresMissouri’s permit-to-purchase law is often cited by people in favor of stronger gun control. The permit-to-purchase law required that people get a permit from local law enforcement before purchasing a gun. When Missouri repealed its permit-to-purchase law in August 2007, research indicated a 55-63% increase in the firearm homicide rate per year during the four years following the repeal.[8]During the same year the law was repealed, Missouri also passed a “Stand Your Ground” law. This law allows people to use firearms in cases of self-defense without being charged for injury or homicide, and it increased the number of homicides. However, a comparison with other states with “Stand Your Ground” laws found that even when accounting for the deaths attributed to that law, the repeal of the permit-to-purchase law still caused Missouri’s homicide rate to increase significantly.Research conducted in Connecticut also found a relationship between permit-to-purchase laws and firearm homicides. In 1995, Connecticut passed a permit-to-purchase law, and over the next 10 years the state saw a 40% drop in firearm homicides.[9]There was no drop in non-firearm homicides, indicating that it was likely the permit-to-purchase law that prevented gun deaths. These studies suggest that requiring a permit before purchasing a gun could help reduce gun-related homicides.More research is needed to conclude which policies are most effective at preventing firearm-related deaths, but as shown above, there is research that suggests that stricter gun-control laws may help. Unfortunately, there has been little expansive research on gun control in the last 20 years because Congress banned the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from conducting research on gun control as an amendment in the 1996 Omnibus Consolidated Appropriations Bill.[10]

It really depends on your definition. If driving in via convoy, the military is already a moving operations center. Their vehicles already have all the communications equipment and computers necessary for operations. If they want to set up an actual operations center, they just need to unload the tents and set everything up while the operations center is still running from the vehicle. After the first tent is set up, the command can set up an operations center in that tent with their radios etc. That will probably take around 30 minutes to an hour. The entire set up of the operations center with setting up communications, generators, electricity etc will probably take close to half a day. At this point, this command center will be able to seamlessly utilize satellite and computer technology and communicate with headquarters for additional guidance and reporting so they can really bring out the big guns.If it’s a unit jumping in via parachute in an airborne operation, the time the command gathers at the assembly point is when additional orders can be given out. This still doesn’t mean that the command can’t give out orders while moving to the assembly point, but the assembly time is kind of woven into the airborne operation. Either way, it will take the command team at least 30 minutes to gather at an assembly point. There will be no actual giant tents; usually just minimal camouflage hung around the area to conceal light. They will have to operate on only radios and reserve batteries etc until the area is stable enough for ground troops to move in. Until then, they are usually communicating within the unit and will only have military capabilities that they came in with.So the first case is usually when there is no border security and the military can just move into the enemy’s territory. The latter case is more of the tactics that marines, airborne infantry, special operations etc would use when assaulting a new objective. Either way, setting up the operations center is the most vital part of a mission so it is quick.
