Cosmetology Schools In Los Angeles Ca

Cosmetology schools?

I will be graduating high school soon and am considering learning how to be a cosmetologist. Two cities I am looking to move to after high school are Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY. So my question is, which of these two cities generally pay better hourly or has a better salary and has a more secure chance of employment?

Barber schools in los angeles(cheap)?

Barber School is 1500 hours, Cosmetology is 1600 hours. There are very inexpensive programs through places like Abram Friedman Occupational Center, West Valley Occupational Center, and PCC Community Education Center.

Good cosmetology school in southern california?

Hi. Have you heard of Beauty School (http://www.beautyschool.com) or Beauty Schools Directory (http://www.beautyschoolsdirectory.com)? Both are resource directories that can help you find schools in your area, and you can actually request free information from any of the schools that look interesting.
Check them out!

Oh! One more thing – if you want to ask questions of other beauty students, cosmetology teachers and working beauty professionals across the country, you might want to check out the Beauty School Lounge at http://lounge.beautyschoolsdirectory.com... It’s a social networking site for people interested in cosmetology, and it’s loaded with good stuff.

If a Mexican person has diploma (title) for cosmetologist, can that license be used in the U.S. (Texas)?

I'm planning on opening up a Nail Salon and have people work it with their license...I already have about 3 people interested and with license, but the only problem is that the are from Mexico. They have a license but not from here (U.S.) ...is there a possible way I can send their documents (license from Mexico) to see if they can get a valid license here without having to go to school for it?

Does anyone know anything about Cinema Makeup School In Los Angeles, Ca?

I posted a few links below that may help you look for a makeup school or decide if that is the direction you really want to go in. The makeup artist schools in Hollywood may provide you with some industry contacts, how good those contacts might be are questionable. unless your specifically looking to learn FX makeup (how much is used anymore given the advances in CGI) you might be better off looking to actually get a cosmetology certificate. Once in LA and working you'll find that makeup artists on set may just as easily have attended a makeup school, as being dating the director or producer.

Do you need a license to become a makeup artist in CA?

Well like your parents always said... you need the paper to show you're legit. Go to school and just do it.. plus you never know what new things you might learn and maybe specialize in something else.. beauty make-up, glam make-up, and even prosthetics.. if you want to make good money you would take a masters makeup program. I plan on going to Cinema makeup school in Hollywood to do just that Check out different Makeup Schools to see what really fits you... and yes you need a license because you need to learn how to sterilize things and how to do certain effects.. you want to actually know it not just do it. You also need a business license etc.

Westminster, CA 92683? Is this a rich area and would it..?

California is not all beaches, orange groves and movie stars. Westminster is mostly lower to middle working class.
