Can birds be schizophrenic?

May be. Then it should be called BS. BS means "birds schizophrenia". It should not be misinterpreted.

My dads got schizophrenic can i have it?

I have schizophrenia too, its scary. I live in a nightmare that I think is reality, but it isn't. but because I BELIEVE that it is real, then to some extent it kinda is...

Schizophrenic twins?

If schizophrenia were an entirely genetic disorder, then identical twins, who are 100% genetically related, should always both be schizophrenic or not, but we know that when one is schizophrenic, the other is schizophrenic only 50% of the time. Why?

Could I be schizophrenic at 14?

Hi Millie, My dear father suffered from schizophrenia so I learned some about it growing up. From what I understand it usually starts to manifest in the teen years but honestly, if you actually had it I don't know that you would be aware of it. You apparently have some symptoms that are concerning you, so please make an appointment with your doctor. Tell him/her about all the thoughts & feelings you have been experiencing. You will get a thorough examination & find out what is going on. Try not to worry, though, because it is very unlikely that schizophrenia is what it is. I hope you get peace of mind very soon.

How can I become schizophrenic?

Um, You don't wanna be schizophrenic, it's not even fun...well,
It can be interesting, but most of the time it's not.

People think your gonna stab them,
or become and killer.
Schizophrenics have killed people,
or hurt them very badly.
My aunt keeps her door locked,
at night...
so I don't come in there.

Lemme tell ya,
I'm schizophrenic,
and I've stabbed people before.
I feel very bad about it.
I feel like no one really understands.

It's not just Living in a world (mines called Zerthia)
With all ur little Friends... who are quite mean and annoying.
It's much more,
and you don't want it.
You don't wanna be crazy,
and in the hospital.

Use the head that god gave ya, kay.

How can I become schizophrenic?

First of all, i dont think you can purposely make yourself schizophrenic... And secondly why would you want to become schizophrenic? I've seen it ruin a lot of people and it's the furthest thing from fun. It's a lot worse than depression and it pretty much disables you leaving you unable to do your regular activities. You should obviously get some help or go on anti depressants if you're not already because that's definitely not a healthy way of thinking.

Can a Schizophrenic be president?

There was once a Schizophrenic who wanted to be president. He died before he could run to election. Since he improved, since he appeared normal, could he work to become president of U.S.? If he never died. Only discussing large improved schizophrenics. Most of their illness is treated.

What are good jobs for a schizophrenic?

As others have noted, it is quite uncommon for people bearing this diagnosis to have a job, especially in a conventional sense of the 9–5pm employment in a location outside the home. The social security disability system in the United States and perhaps social welfare programs elsewhere often contributes to this overall lack of employment. By forcing a person to avow permanent and total disability, SS disability by definition makes getting off it, once on, nearly impossible and at the same time enforces poverty on the individual labelled disabled. Add SSI and Medicaid for’which many individuals with the diagnosis qualify, as I do, and you have a prescription for the motivation never to get better. Of’course, drugs that induce anhedonia are less than useful in this regard, even though they are still considered standard treatment. (almost by definition anti-dopamine drugs like the so-called antipsychotics have this extremely untoward side effect…indeed the blockade of dopamine is the intended effect, so I would conclude that anhedonia is also intentional and a direct effect.) Drugs, moreover, the side effects of which are the selfsame symptoms of schizophrenia, make the situation worse, and employment even less likely, even when stigma and assumptions of disability are not the issue. That said, most of the people I have known with this diagnosis, and who work, almost always work “in the field” of mental health, in some capacity, or in what might be called sheltered situations where an occasional hospital stay is not detrimental to keeping ones job. My friends with the same diagnosis as I have usually accepted social security disabity payments, so even when they work, as say, a janitor or housecleaner, they make sure to keep their employment either under the radar, or to a level that does not threaten to UNdisable them.I do not work at a regular income-producing job myself, and never have. But despite the disability that the drugs have induced, I have written three published books (none vanity press or self-published ) and become an artist over these last ten years. Oddly enough at 66 and officially retired, I probably have more employment skills now than I ever did “on disability”. But at 66 it is also very unlikely that I could get a full time job using these skills, even if I had the stamina to do it.

What kind of jobs can schizophrenics get?

Writer, actor, artist, animator, video game designer, musician, online teacher. This can be when there off meds. The great ones make lots of money. If they are on meds that makes them gain weight, they could build muscle if they worked at it. Body builder, model, tile roofs, build roads build houses ( when there really stablized but not on strong enough meds that they can't work). They could be wakeboard teachers. Get into sports some sports players might not need medication because they may have a milder form. Rappers of meds if they do it all the time and aren't allowed guns. Lots of people with schizophrenia are quiet so they can be psychiatrists. Psw, because lots of people with schizophrenia smoke so its easier to change diapers when your sense of smell is gone.they would be great at day care because babies and toddlers don't know anything about schizophrenia so you can say whatever you want. Teachers through elementary school and high school. Just do all work on tablets and smart phones and email the work too the teacher. Making a computer marking program. If they have a supportive family work with there family. It really depends on how servere there illness is and level of functioning.

Could Christians be schizophrenic?

Anyone can be schizophrenic. Schizophrenia is a very genetic disorder, though stress and drug use can cause it to develop when it otherwise wouldn’t. If you have a genetic predisposition, for schizophrenia, your religious beliefs have nothing to do with it. Try to keep stress below ridiculous levels.
