Could I Get Fired From My Job

Can you get another job if you were fired or quit?

Yes, it's all in how you explain it. First, there is no stigma surrounding quitting a job. As a Recruiter, I would only wonder why someone quit a job if they did not have a new position elsewhere and would ask a candidate about it, but wouldn't think twice if they were just moving to a new opportunity. Just be prepared to be as honest as possible about why you quit without throwing your former employer under the bus or making yourself look bad.  Same with being fired, except that there are levels to being fired. Being fired for stealing is completely different than being let go because you were hired for a job outside of your skillset. If it's the latter, then it's a good idea to talk about what you learned from the experience and how you consider it an opportunity to grow and appreciate your former employer for the lesson. Good luck!

How can I get fired from my dumb job?

I've been at this place for 7 years. It's a cashier job at a store. I want to move on with my life and find a better, higher-paying job. I don't want to be working here forever. How can I get fired so that I can move on?

I'm miserable at my job.... how can I get fired??

It's better to leave on good terms, than to get fired. What kind of job do you have? Sometimes making things work is a good thing. If I were you I'd take a mini vacation if you can afford one. I've read that people who take a vacation are more happy at work, and get less stressed. While you have free time be looking for another job, and do other interviews and then give your notice and let the new place know when you can work.

Can someone get another job if they quit or got fired?

Absolutely. One of the things that people don't often talk about (or if there's a book or site, I haven't seen it) is the emotional toll of working. Getting fired can cause reactions similar to a breakup, a family fight, or other situations where you feel bad. I know that comparing a job to a family or romantic relationship seems silly, but I think that pretending that you have no feelings about a job (or people who you work with for 40+ hours per week) is silly. You feel bad about thinking that this company didn't work out. You feel sad that you made a bad choice. You might be feeling anxious that you have a black mark on your record. You feel confused and bewildered about what to say to prospective employers. So this question strikes me as an emotional one-you're panicked, or down, or any number of feelings. All of the answers here are right-logically you're going to find another job and work again, and you should take the next logical steps to get yourself more work. However, I think sometimes acknowledging the emotions, and labeling them as feelings can allow you to recognize them for what they are. It's not that feelings have no place in a job search, but you do want to separate how you're feeling from the reality of the situation. You will get another job, will it be work? Absolutely, but it's not impossible. I've seen some crazy job searching situations where people ended up getting jobs, despite circumstances that can be worse than being fired (including once, a guy who had a stream of passive income and didn't do anything for 10 years-he let all of his skills go lax). It's work (hence why there are so many questions, answers and guidance surrounding job searching on quora) but you'll get through this period.

Will I get fired from my job for self harming.?

I just turned 16, got a job at chipotle and i have self herm issues. I know I'm extremely stupid for cutting myself its just been a big issue since i was 12. They are mostly scars. I have a long one down my arm and i relapsed a few days ago. I am really good about covering them up with makeup and keeping them not visible but sometimes the makeup doesn't cover my scars... Would i get fired if my manager saw them or if a coworker saw them. I really love the job i got and all the people there and i wouldn't want to get fired :(
