Could I Rent A Hotel Room As A Minor If My Mom Helped

Can a 15 year old stay in a hotel room alone if their parents booked it?

Yes they can.And it can be a nightmare. We were forced to book two rooms per family in England because the rooms were too small to accommodate a family of four. We were traveling with another family, also a family of four. So we had four rooms between us. They had two sons and we had one. So we sent all the boys off to sleep in the middle room between the two parents rooms. The two oldest boys were about 12 at the time.In the middle of the night my son apparently became disoriented, it was the first night in the hotel after a long flight. We believe he was sleep walking. He left the room, wandered around, then woke up and realized he was in the hotel hallway. He knocked on a door, sure that it was ours but it wasn’t.He’d awakened a man who shouted— Are you happy now?!! Thinking my son was playing games. A hotel employee took him to the front desk, verified the room number and brought him back to us. At that point he was fully awake and embarrassed that he was roaming around in public in his pajamas.Needless to say it scared the CRAP out of us and we were thankful that he didn’t walk outside or get snatched, or hurt.My husband was so shook up he often blocks the hotel door with furniture to this day.So yes, you can. You may even HAVE to let them sleep in there. I hope your son’s stay is less eventful than our experience!

How Much Would It Be To Rent Out A Hotel Pool?

The rate is very likely to be variable, depending on a number of factors. I'm familiar with renting out other hotel facilities (meeting rooms, etc.), and here's how it works:

The more you're spending at the hotel, the cheaper it'll be. If you're having the party catered by the hotel, for instance, it'll be cheaper. If you're booking some guest rooms there, it'll be cheaper. On a meeting room, for instance, the stated rate might be $1,000. You might be able to negotiate that down to $800 just by asking. You might be able to get that down to $400 if you do a morning coffee break and lunch at the hotel. And if you also book 25 guest rooms, you might get the room for free.

You also don't say where the hotel is (New York City? Omaha, Nebraska?). Or how many rooms it has. Or what the room rack rate is. Or anything else. Nor do you say how many hours you want to rent it for: 2? 3? 4? All of those go into giving you a number.

So, sure, $400 might be enough. Or maybe $150. Or maybe $2,500. It really depends.

One tip: Always negotiate. There is no set, fixed price. Sure, you'll be quoted a price. View that as a starting number in a negotiation.

Hope that helps.

How should rent be split between me, my roommate and her child?

50/50? WTF? Is that your child too?

There are 3 people, everything should be split 3 ways, not 2. You are having to support them at this point. It is really f---ed up.

Can you book a hotel room for a few hours instead of an entire night?

My boyfriend and I had a talk last night and sex came up as something really special to do for Valentine's Day. We don't want to do it at each others' houses because we don't want to disrespect our parents. So we decided to go to a hotel. The problem is that we can't exactly stay at the hotel the entire night because we think our moms won't be for it.

So the question is: Can you book a hotel room and not stay the whole night? Answers as well as any advice you can give is helpful. Thanks and Happy Valentine's Day! :D

Can I check into a hotel if someone else has paid for it?

First, there is a difference between "booking" a room and paying for a room. Did they actually have their credit card charged online or did they just reserve the room with their credit card?Next, any competent hotel is going to ask to see the credit card and photo ID, verify it is in your name, and swipe it to get the best rates for processing of the credit card.If your friends parents booked the room and are not there, then they will not "usually" check you in. Why? How does the hotel know whether the room was booked by some teenager who got their parents card out of their Dad's wallet or Mom's purse to go have some fun with their friends?Or, how would the hotel know if it was just a stolen credit card number? The answer is they don't and if the hotel is smart, they won't let you check in unless the person paying for the room has signed ahead of time a credit card authorization form, complete with their full mailing address, contact information, copies of the front and back of the credit card and a photo ID, with a signature on the form that matches the credit card stating it's ok for this individual to charge the room (and any damages) to their card. That way if something does happen, the parents can't deny the charges to their bank because the hotel has all the appropriate documentation to give to their credit card processor verifying the parents authorized the charges. So after all the reasons why a well run hotel will not let you check in, be smart, call the hotel, have them send a credit card authorization form to the people saying it's ok to charge their card for the entire room charges (and damages if any), have that faxed or emailed back to the hotel so it's all OK before you arrive. Be sure to call the hotel's front desk manager, or hotel general manager, prior to arrival to make sure they received it and that there will be no issues with you checking in.Then be a good guest and not cause any noise disturbances, or trash the room, treat the room like you would at your grandmothers, and be respectful that this is someone else's' property who they worked hard to have a nice quiet place for guests to stay and you then will be welcomed back.

How do I convince my parents to let me have a hotel sleepover?

How do I convince my parents to let me have my birthday at a hotel!?

I'm having my 13th birthday and I want to invite 4 friends (that's 5 total) to a hotel sleepover party. How do I convince my parents to let me have my birthday party at a hotel? also how much would it cost for food alone?

My mom smells like dookie and fish how do i tell her?

Okay, Im a cna, and have had to deal with this many times. And Ive even had to clean this 600 pound woman that was bed ridden. It took me 10 soapy wash clothes to clean the cheesy looking, and cheesy smelly stuff from under her lower stomach flap. And the fishy smell, is from a bacterial infection in her personal area. The butt smell, which i call"old man butt" is from her sweating, and not wiping correctly, leaving some fecal matter behind. If you have the guts to tell her, sit her down, and look right at her, and tell her heart to heart, if you wanna cry, cry, it will hit her better that way. Offer to help her, wash her nasty favorite nighty every day for her while she's working. Wash her stuff in this detergent ," ARM&HAMMER PLUS SOFTENER, Orchard Bloom" It is in a yellow bottle, and has a pink lid, and wash her stuff in warm or hot water. Buy her some baby wipes, and put them behind her toilet, and just tell her to wipe with those when she poo's. But tell her you love her, and it hurts you to say that she has a smell. Buy some generic disinfectant spray for the toilet, ans spray it at least once a day, but some of this carpet powder..."ARM & HAMMER ODOR ELIMINATOE Mountain Rain scent" I love the arm & hammer stuff, cuz it works and is inexpensive. You can also make your own febreeze, use 2 parts liquid fabric softener, and 3 parts water, and spray where she sits and sleeps. Spray the curtains, chairs, anything fabric. Get the Airwick air freshners, try 2 get 1 for every room. Or just where she hangs out. If you know her doc, call him and tell him your concerns, and talk your mom into going to the doc. and go with her. Goodluck, and please let me know how it goes, its gonna take your love, and everyone's time to get this done, but please try those products, and i promise, it WILL work out, don't stop communication with your mom, she's depressed.

My Mom want me to pay Rent, Why?

Before judging, please read my entire question.

I'm 28 years old. I have a college degree and have been living in my own apartment since I was 21. I recently got hired to work on a cruise ship as an Entertainment Host but I did not like ship life or my duties as it was too overwhelming, and resigned after only 5 weeks onboard (though believe me working every day with no day off felt like more then 5 weeks). With no place to go my parents were nice enough to let me move back home. Mom gave me cable in my room, added me to the family cell phone plan, told me I could help myself to anything to eat in the house.

A week has gone by and today my mom sat me down and told me when I finally got a job that she needed me to pay her $450.00 a month for rent. What the hell! I JUST got back. My brother, 26, has been living rent free with her for years. Mind you she did pay my rent during college while she didn't with him, but still. I feel a little hurt that she suddenly is saying she expects me to pay rent. I understand Im 28 and an adult, but everyone goes through hard times. I'm not planning on living with them forever, just until I get back on my feet. She did tell me gently that she loves me and knows I am meant to continue as a performer and wants me to succeed and that I'll be happier actually moving out of the house and back into an apartment of my own instead of paying her rent. But then how am I supposed to save money?

Working for Disney Cruise Line was just a nightmare and not what I expected. I sacrificed a lot to get the job including getting out of my lease, but it wasn't for me. I just feel depressed and angry. My parents have paid their mortgage off for the huge house they have, they can afford to let their son live for free a few months. It just makes me quite upset- though I only agreed to my mom and told her I would pay as soon as I got a job. It still angers me.
