Can I really be arrested or sued for giving away a lost dog?
My aunt and uncle found a puppy under their house. It had been there for about a week and then they were finally able to catch it. After catching it they brought it over to my house because they are elderly and couldn't care for the puppy. My aunt and uncle put up signs for the dog. I work and have a very busy schedule so it took me about 5 days until I was able to go into the humane society and have it checked for a micro chip. It had none. The people checked theirs records and no one had reported the puppy missing. The worker then stated if I decided I could give her up to them and they would keep it for 3 days & after that put it up for adoption. I said no, I found it a home. I gave the puppy to my friend for her 7 yr old son. Two month later and this lady sees a sign and says it's her dog. She went to my aunts house demanding the dog back. After she was told it was given away she notified the police and they came to my house. I told the officer I no longer have the dog because I gave it away. He says a lost dog is like a wallet. I must return it. I contacted the lady I gave it to and she claims the dog ran away. I believe her because that's how th dog got lost in the first place. She's a puppy and just ran out the door. My mother is all worried because the officer said the owner is going to press charges. I did all I could for that puppy in this horrible Texas heat and now my behind is on the line.
What crimes can you not forgive at all?
My wife was brutally molested as a child. This continued for a number of years, rape, being passed around, horrific stuff. Today she is a very damaged woman with all sorts of health problems which I have no doubt are directly related to the abuse.I don't forgive sexual abuse of any kind, particularly child sexual abuse.To those who don't think sexual abuse is as serious as I do, think about this:Whenever someone confesses their deepest, most troubling secrets, they are almost always sexual. Sexual abuse lasts a lifetime. In severe cases there is no recovery. Well, no complete recovery. Some people manage to have an outwardly normal life while inside they are writhing in pain.Seeing the perpetrators brought to justice doesn't bring any relief. There seems to be no respite from the inner voices calling the victim dirty, shameful, unworthy.For a few years I worked in children’s services. I saw one boy who had been dipped in boiling water to stop him from crying. I have seen children with broken bones, cigarette burns, stab wounds. All these are horrific, but they heal. It was the kids who had been sexually abused that had the worst time of it. They were the ones with the night terrors. They were the ones who got pregnant at 13. These are the kids that commit suicide at 15 and the public says, “Why? What possible burden could a 15 year old child carry?”I lasted about 4 years working with kids. It was all I could manage. At the end of this period I was totally burned out.I don't forgive child sexual abuse. I would bring back Capitol punishment for this crime alone if I had the power to do so.
What is the most cruel thing you've done or seen someone do?
Until the day my mother died, she did many, many cruel things. Abusing me and my sister are top on the list. But one of the things she did to me that was physically abusive, that sticks out most (and yes, she did this one thing, two separate times), it's when she caught me smoking and put a cigarette out on the palm of my hand. Like I said, it wasn’t one time either, but twice.I was 14, and I'd just started sneaking and smoking (I know, shame on me, it's a very bad habit). The first time, I was in my room, smoking a cigarette, then I heard her coming, so I put it out under a nail polish bottle and my dresser top. She saw little tendrils of smoke, and she went into a blind rage. Literally, I could see the went into this rage where it was just her. She grabbed me by my hair and dragged me down the hallway to the bathroom, all the while she has her cigarette hanging out of her mouth.When we get in the bathroom, she slightly wets my palm, then immediately shakes off the water. Then puts her cigarette out in my palm. The whole time I'm screaming because that shit hurts. When she finished, she told me to stop it because that didn't even hurt. What the fuck?About a week later, stupid me is in her room smoking again. I don't hear her this time. She just charges in, cigarette in her hand, and yanks my hand in hers, flips my palm up, and smashed her cigarette down and I could hear my skin sizzle. Both times I immediately called my sister who lived in Texas with our grandparents. She was horrified, but she knew what the abuse was like. I also called one of my best friends to talk to him. When my mother found out he knew that she’d done that, any time he was over, she'd joke around and say how I looked like Jesus (each palm had a 1/4″ burn, so she thought it looked like the “nail markings”). Oh, Mom, you're so funny. Ha.Should I go on to the time she grabbed my sister by the hair, slammed her face down into the edge of the kitchen sink, then whipped her around to hold a knife to my sister's throat, all over my sister calling me a cow? Yeah … Mommy Dearest, anyone?I've seen some cruel things in my life. I wish I hadn't seen a lot of them.
I have a deaf cat , & he really need a bath . how do i bathe him without freaking him out ? please help !?
Unfortunately most cats don't like water so baths can be difficult. The key is to not have running water and don't try to get him in neck high water either will scare them. So, get a bucket of tepid water ready and put it in the bath tub or kitchen sink. Then I put a towel down to keep the cat from slipinig and sliding everywhere which also protects the tub or sink. Use a shampoo made for cats otherwise it will dry his skin terribly. Gently put a little shampoo on him rubbing it in while adding water as needed using a cup with water from the bucket. Once done be sure to rinse him off using the cup and water bucket. Be sure to rinse all the shampoo off of him or it too can cause problems. No he won't like it but after a while he'll ease up some and you can finish. Expect him to cry a bit because he is scared of this new thing you are doing to him but he'll get better as time goes by and he realizes the bath is not so bad. When done wrap him in a big soft towel to dry him off. Be sure to get him dry or he might get sick. Best wishes to you and your cat.

My dog's front legs wont extend, and she whines when she tries to jumo on me.?
I have two German Shepherds, one purebread and one i believe is half collie. the one that is half collie is always very sweet and excited to see us, so she jumps ALL the time. the weird thing is today she started to whine and walk with her tail between her legs. i was worried so i went out and gave her some affection. she is skiddish and very sad looking. she seems physically fine, but i can tell something is wrong, this is not like her. NOW, when she jumps she only gets half way up and falls back down onto her feet. i caught them and tried to pull them up all the way, since it seemed she could not, like usual, and when i did this, she yelped. could it just be rough-housing? could her hamstrings have gotten pulled..? i am so confused. should i take her to a vet? also, my aunt (who is a psycho *****) will sometimes shove her to get her off, could her kicking my dog in the ribs have done it? any answers are appreciated..
