Could Someone Grade My Sat Essay The College Board Marker Gave It 10 But Im Not So Sure

What was your expectation and what were the real marks you got in CBSE class XII Exam?

Expected:English: 96–98. My paper went exceptionally well. In the writing section, I gave references of Shakespeare and the literature chapters, wrote very neatly and underlined all the important points.Physics: 100. I knew the entire paper perfectly. All derivations were flawless with appropriate diagrams.Chemistry: 98. Found a mistake worth 1 mark in my answer after a day. Still expected one more mark less.Biology: 95–99. Found a very small mistake.Maths: 90–93. The paper was simple enough, but I could not complete one 6 marker so deducted then entire question to be on the safe side.P.E. : 90–92. I attempted theory worth 65 marks correctly and expected about 27/30 in practicals. Now the marks I received:English: 95. Why do half the population receive 95!?!?Physics: 94. What the heck?!Chemistry: 95. How are they doing this??Biology: 92. My entire life is a lie!!Maths: 86. I am done with it.P.E : 81. Not even going to waste my breath on it.I then saw the result of other students and found that they are scoring much higher than what they expected, while I am scoring much less than what I expected. You can read other quorans saying that they got higher than expected, I am like, ”What did I do wrong??” I don’t trust CBSE anymore.P.S: Also a friend scored a 100 in physics when one day before the exam she asked me difference between EMF and Terminal potential.

SAT (standardized college admission test): Does a student's SAT score accurately show his or her intelligence?

Thanks for the A2AThe SAT is a test of reading, writing, and mathematical abilities.  Intelligence is correlated with these things to a certain degree, however, the SAT is NOT an intelligence test.  IQ tests measure general reasoning ability, verbal, perceptual, and other cognitive areas depending on the test such as working memory and processing speed.  IQ tests are more a measure of ability rather than acquired skills although most IQ tests require a very minimal amount of acquired skills. So, while it is true that these tests are correlated they are in no way the same thing.  The degree to which they're correlated is dubious at best.  There has only been one study done on the correlation between IQ tests and the SAT but that was using data from 1979 and the SAT has undergone some considerable changes since then and they also correlated it with the ASVAB which isn't exactly a top of the line test of intelligence.  It gets the job done, but it's not the WAIS or Stanford Binet. The SAT doesn't determine your intelligence, especially nowadays.  It was actually created as an IQ test for army applicants back in the 1930s I believe, but has since changed and is much more of an achievement test.  It would also be a terrible gauge of someone's intelligence if that person had a learning disability or ADHD or just generalized testing anxiety.  There are many factors and it's not an intelligence test to begin with, it had only been suggested that it is correlated with IQ.  And IQ tests measure a narrow band of skills that comprise human intelligence.  There are different kinda of intelligence if you see things in light of Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences which I believe is a quite accurate and complete framework of human abilities.

Who thinks Walden University is a Diploma Mill?

They are accredited, but that means very little to the employment world. I received my Masters from Walden in 2005 and it has been treated with nothing but mockery since. Capella University, Phoenix University, and Walden University are not looked up favorably by employers. Given the choice, I would not go back to Walden and wish that I had gone to a better school to begin with. Sure the classes were pretty easy and it did fit my schedule, but the end degree just doesn’t carry the same weight.

I think I did see a ranking for online schools in US News & World Report a couple years ago - and it wasn’t pretty. Walden ranked better than most of the others, but still well below the national average in just about everything. I can’t image that they’ll let themselves be ranked again for a very long time. Distance education can offer advanced degrees in Bachelor, Master, and PhDs, but this school just hasn’t got it right yet.

As for whether or not they are a diploma mill, I’m not sure. I really didn’t have to work that hard for my degree. The classes are all canned and the assignments are simple. Only one or two of the classes gave me a hard time, and that is because I was so use to coasting my way through. So they aren’t the typical degree mill that just sends you a piece of paper, but it is fairly close.

FYI: I was not the greatest student in my undergrad or in high school. I don’t think that I ever got over a 3.0 GPA and I never even took my GRE. AND Walden was still easy. Oh well, I’m considering going to a traditional bricks and mortal school for my PhD.

I am preparing for competitive exams, but for the past few days I have not been able to concentrate on studying and when I force myself I feel exhausted. When I start studying my mind wanders a lot. I'm in a 'do or die' situation as I have to clear those exams, but I am wasting my precious time. What should I do?

Thank you for this detail question description. The same things occur with every aspirants. They all do the same for fighting it off. But, what actually makes a difference is their unstoppable efforts to work onto the same.Fear, anxiety and pressure like things are very common in the struggle of clearing any competitive examination. Around millions are giving and thousands will be selected. Tough.Nothing except for going along and studying is the way to fight this.If you ask Google it has techniques like meditation and etc. If you start meditating with such kind of chaos in your mind then, you'll feel more low as you will depend upon meditation. Proper mediation gives result in and after 3–4 months of practice and till that time you don't have so much patience. Accept it. So it cannot help.As I said earlier, walking through the same. Studying is the way only.Hormones may play with you sometimes. Let it. But do remember when the game ends, you should be the winner.Don't feel low and stressful.Believe in your efforts, the results will walk to you as it is meant to be.Few things I personally practice to get rid of such things is:Yoga. Preferably, kapalbhati pranayama for 10 minutes daily. You can see the effects of the same on the internet.Weekly dopamine, serotonin and endomorphin doses. In my case I like to eat, so I prefer eating tasty and healthy food every week to keep myself happy.Build up the habit of patience. Slowly everything fades off and I'm again back on track.Discuss the issues with one close friend and with family. I said discuss, don't expect solutions. It will help. Finally, be passionate and keep reminding yourself, your 'why' for this journey. All the best!Thank you!Binoy Roy

What if I put Rs. 500 in my chemistry answer sheet in a board examination?

When I was in class XI, our chemistry teacher was briefing us about the type of question paper that used to come in the board, then all of a sudden she started smiling. When asked about the reason, she decided to tell us as it was our free period (time when the whole syllabus was complete). She told us-“It was way back in 2007, when I was checking the board copies, amongst the whole lot, the next answer sheet that I picked up was light weighted and contained no extra sheets. Initially I was surprised but had a hope that the child must have written that much that she /he scored passing marks .”“I opened the answer sheet and wooo!! Blank sheet, further filled by the lyrics of Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You and a crisp Rs 500 note giving the excuse that stated “Respected Ma'am/Sir, as I was busy with my sister's wedding I was unable to study for the exam, I request you to kindly grant me passing marks” and I was rolling on the floor laughing!”Then what? The whole group of teachers ordered samosas and chai and needless to say, the child failed.

How was your CBSE class 10 result?

Interpreter of MaladiesThe NamesakePaper TownsThese were the books which I finished during my board exam's preparation leave and when the exams were going on. I listened to Rekha Bharadwaj all the time. I used Quora regularly and watched my favourite shows on TV during the break.Seeing my such traits, my mother was confident that I'll score below 80%( although she didn't know about the books. Had she known it, she would have got a mini heart attack). Even I was thinking of scoring around 90%.Now came the D-Day. The result was to be announced by 4 in the evening. I was having my lunch when the result got declared at 2 pm.I was carefree until I picked up the phone to check the result. I began to tremble. Now the result was in front of my eyes.EnglishEXPECTED MARKS - 97ACTUAL MARKS- 99HINDIEXPECTED MARKS - 95ACTUAL MARKS- 95MATHEMATICSEXPECTED MARKS- 90ACTUAL MARKS - 90SCIENCEEXPECTED MARKS - 93ACTUAL MARKS - 97SOCIAL SCIENCEEXPECTED MARKS - 100ACTUAL MARKS -99FOUNDATION OF I.T.EXPECTED MARKS- 97ACTUAL MARKS - 100The most delightful thing was that I got first rank in the school. And finally, the happiest faces of my parents and the parents in school.PS: My decision of opting Humanities became talk of the town for the day and was appreciated a lot.:-)
