Could We Still Expect Floyd To Fight Pacquiao

The manny pacquiao vs floyd mayweather fight has been cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

ive been saying this over and over again.... i think manny would expose floyd... ive said it over and over again over ppls praise over mayweather. Manny's a better boxer period, i don't care what anyone says about that. manny seemed to have gotten better as he gained weight like a few other out there have and in my opinion manny may be the best boxer of all time. but i told people time will prove me either right or wrong and i couldn't be more excited for manny to prove me right and silence the critics and doubter once again.

BUT of course floyd knows manny will own his ***. im not surprised of what happened at all, in fact i expected floyd to dodge manny. i just feel bad for manny because theres a lot of ppl talking about FLOYDS defense, his SPEED, his BOXING skills, blah blah blah. i feel bad that manny may never be able to prove what i said above, prove ppl wrong again! but like i said i expected this.

i cant stand floyd. yes hes talented and a good boxer but i find him extremely arrogant. his language is terrible, his ego is way over board, he flashes his millions like hes a damn rapper, and not that its bad in most peoples eyes but hes in it for the money. how many times do you see floyd bad mouth his opponents? get right in there face ( and i mean nose to nose ). he mouths off too much. bottom line hes ******* ridiculous.... a talented asshole.

final thoughts: manny said hed give his damn blood but he wanted there to be a cut off, he sayd he give blood right after the fight as well and give random urination tested randomly. what more can you ask for.... cmon... floyd ducked the filpino admit it floyd nut huggers...

Why did Manny Pacquiao turn down 40 million and the fight Floyd Mayweather Jr?

According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Manny has barely made over 40 million in all his fights combined. Why would Manny turn down the biggest paycheck in his career? http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content11628.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Who will you support, Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao? Why?

I support Manny Pacquiao despite the odds are really against him in terms of how skillful Floyd is. Manny really has a chance to win thou. The fact I like about Manny is that as a person he seems humble and nice. Floyd on the other hand is cocky, no charitable cause worth mentioning and has been cherry picking opponents for the latter half of his career.

Are you interested in Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao 2?

If its 20 bucks or less, sure.

Does Floyd Mayweather's win against Manny Pacquiao make him one of the greatest in the history of boxing?

No. The win was good, but expected - the only chance Manny had of winning that fight was if Floyd had agreed to fight him around 2009; at that time Manny was on fire and would have been a great test.Mayweather will probably be considered top15–20 of all time when the dust settles, and the Pac win will help but it happened too late.Floyd is very skilled and a supreme athlete, but is career stopped really after he fought and beat Oscar De La Hoya - that was a close fight (he won by Split Decision) but the torch had been passed from the elder to the younger. After that win Floyd sensibly knew he controlled things and hand picked opponents with decent enough profiles to sell a fight and poor enough skill sets to lose to him.To be up with the true greats then usually a tick in the box is true adversity or the willingness to put it on the line, not just on the line at the right moment career-wise or financially. Ali wasnt the technical defensive boxer Floyd was, but he had more guts and heart, came back from losses, fought the best of several eras and fought for causes such as race equality and humanitarian issues, Im afraid all that counts more than keeping a record loss free and making tons of cash - but times have changed somewhat from Ali’e era and many people will see what Floyd did as the ultimate ‘boss’ situation; milking it for all it was worth once you get to the top of the tree.Look at the fights post Oscar for Floyd - aside from a ten second hiccup against Shane Mosley then no-one barely laid a glove on him until he retired, over nearly 8 years! Its not possible if you are going up against the best, or taking the odd risk, to not even lose a handful of rounds across 8 years, and due to that his legacy will have suffered somewhat. However, having said that he has his health, his wealth, is very famous and secure for the rest of his life, many people would say that is greatness and its difficult to argue with that.

Why were many fans disappointed by the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight?

Many fans who are not into the sport got disappointed. Mayweather style of fighting is not crowd pleasing as he is a defensive genius who fights at a slower pace where as pacquiao is raw power unleashed. Pacquiao was the fighter who was supposed to take the fight to mayweather as he was the one who needed to set the pace of the fight, but he easily got schooled and outclassed by mayweather earlier in the fight. Then the times he tried to get near to mayweather blindly, mayweather was able to not only dodge them but counter punch pacquiao. He made it too easy for mayweather and that one sided, slow paced fight disappointed some fans who expected a high energy fight (mostly the ones who were expecting pacquiao to fight well and win).

Is Manny Pacquiao on Steroids?

Manny is not on Steroids.
Floyd Sr created this allegation without any intention to back it up with evidences. He never thought that Floyd fans will take it seriously and spread like a wildfire that he could not contain anymore. He could not retract anymore till it reached the court of law.Their plead to dismiss this case was to no avail and the fiscal sided with Pacquiao.
For two years now, Mayweather's camp could not present even the smallest evidence tp sustain their allegation that Pacquiao is on steroid.

In each Pacquiao's fight, he was always cleared of using any illegal drugs.

In case Mayweather fight Pacquiao, I'll put my money on Pacquiao. And don't be surprised if Mayweathers do the same as I do.

Prime vs Prime: Pacquiao vs. Mayweather?

This type of match-up hurts Pacquiao in my opinion because it's his ability to maintain speed, increased strength and carried much of his power to 147. Floyd on the other hand isn't as fast nor does he have the same power he did at 130 or 135. If we take away Manny's physical improvement and the few wrinkles Roach has got him to use the last few years he is not in the same league as Mayweather despite that being his physical prime.

So if we take Floyd 2002 vs. 2008 Pacquiao or 2000(F) vs. 2006(P)- Manny faces a fighter that not only is technically superior in every fashion he has the speed (hand & foot) to cause him major problems along with the power to end the fight with a few shots. Floyd at those weights was far more offensive in his approach and would cut Manny to pieces.

If we take 2008 Floyd vs 2009 Manny at 147- We end up with a far better match-up for Manny as Floyd by this point is no longer the offensive fighter of the past and generally relies on counter punching. That alone would provide Manny the opportunity to overwhelm Floyd, which would be his only shot at winning. I don't believe that would happen 7 times out of 10, but at this weight he can compete.

The wild card in this match-up is the momentum Manny would be carrying into this fight after dominating performances against De La Hoya and Hatton. Boxing is a unique contact sport in that unlike football athletes are surrounded by people who have nothing to do with the sport and can affect a fighters psychology*. There is no way to calculate how Floyd would handle the subtle changes in his entourages demeanor once a date is set. His Uncle would provide positive thought, but that's one voice amongst twenty that probably would've been shaken. Being the leader of his "posse" Floyd would pick up their nervousness no matter how hard they tried to hide it. That doubt, for a cerebral athlete, is what Pacquiao could pounce on and completely change the dynamics of the fight during this period.

*What I mean here is during the season/playoffs NFL players tend to shut down most non-team relationships and live or die with the players and coaches within their locker-room. So while everyone outside that locker-room may think a team is destined for defeat the people in it never consciously/subconsciously receive that message because it's not their reality.
