Consider the reading ability and background of your audiences’ before you write. If you are writing for a class taught by a college professor, you can write at a higher level than if you’re message will be read by adults for whom English is a second language. It is equally important to avoid talking over the head’s of your readers’ or talking down to them. Readers’ can tell when your trying to hard too impress or when you are lecturing to them. Avoid jargon words specific to a particular activity or line of work unless you are certain your readers will know what you are talking about. At a minimum, always define your terms. Use three and four syllable words sparingly when you write. Why say utilize or incorporate when use will do. Long and unfamiliar words are hurdles that your readers must leap over to get to your meaning. Remember the purpose you want to serve and keep it simple. Certain words and phrases can convey a smug attitude: Obviously, as anyone can see, and in my estimation are examples of words that will turn off your readers, especially if your point is not as clear as you believe it to be. College’s instructors will quickly detect a superior attitude if it appears in your writing. After all, your instructor’s are looking to see if you can provide a straight-forward intelligent discussion of ideas in your writing assignments, not a show of your mental-superiority.

You lack punctuation and capitalization. In the Middle Ages, the order of succession of the planetary spheres had far reaching implications. Beginning with the earth, which was believed to be the center, the succession was as follows: Moon, Mercury, Venus, the sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn. Implicit in that order were two fundamental consequences: the hours of the day and the sequence of days of the week. There were twelve hours from midnight to midnight which made up what was called the day, and these hours were marked by the clock. There were also hours from from sunrise to sunset, however, and those were termed the hours of the planets. They were termed unequal because the period between sunrise and sunset change in length with the suns annual course. Only twice in one year will the hours of the clocks and the hours of the planets be identical. Geoffrey Chaucer, a medieval writer, was quoted as saying that each constellation has its own qualities and each planet has its own nature. He believed Mars was hot and dry, Venus was hot and moist, and so on. Other writers believed that the twelve constellations of the zodiac were accidental groupings, astrological clusters, that had great impact on the human world. In worn and faded parchments, astrology, the strange science of the middle ages, still survives in all its outdated glory. We would do well to remember just how much we've learned and how much society's scientific advancement have improved from century to century.

Family of five (period or colon). i'm not just that (colon). there's something odd about your sentence "having parents...." wrong (period for extra emphasis). instead of going here and there put 'the chance/opportunity to go.....' you need a better transition in to discussing your hijab and you need to organize more. i'm sorry if i seem picky, and others(like your peers or teacher) may disagree, but that is just what i believe. other than that, i also believe (MY PERSONAL OPINION) you need to focus on your voice, also. good luck.

Also, you do know to NEVER use personal pronouns in an essay ["I", "me", etc.] UNLESS you're strictly asked to give YOUR opinion, right? I'm not sure if that's what you were asked to do or not, but if not, you'll need to remove all personal pronouns because that will count for a huge reduction.
