Counter Strike 1.6 Dedicated Server Port Forwarding

Why can't people join my dedicated server?

I made a dedicated server on Counter Strike 1.6 and I got it up and running. I can join it just fine, everythings working, but when friends try to join it makes them retry their connection and then fails to connect. What is wrong?

How can I play Counter Strike with my friends over the internet?

Use Hamachi software for Windows, it allows you to play cs over Internet without LAN.You can play with as many users possible using hamachi :1.You have to make multiple networks/ hubs with different names and share it with users you want to play.2. Provided you are the host, create a server and share your server's IP address with all the users.3. Ask them to connect to your server and DONE!I can say that it took me about 8 months to figure this out. :-PCheers!

How to play counter strike 1.6 with a friend online without steam?

this is a bit tricky. it requires alot of time but here i go

1. create a dedicated LAN server using dedicated-server.bat. it should be in the cs 1.6 folder.
2. download hamachi/ teamviewer which allows your friend to connect to your private network.
3. port forward (youtube/google this if you dont know what it means)
4. start your game and find the ip of it in the dedicated server menu (it will say your ip)
5. tell your friend the ip address and make him connect to it by typing in it in console
it will look something like this "connect 46.174.52.6:27252"
6. done

also, your friend will need to download hamachi/ team viewer as well. he DOES NOT need to port forward

if that doesnt work. you could both connect to the same server online in the server list.
thats what i did. i found an empty server and we both 1v1

Can you play multiplayer (online) on pirated PC games?

It depends on how the multiplayer is structured.Usually, if the game has the option to download software in order to create a server, then you can play “cracked” servers that are programmed to not verify your account and just let you access it. It of course varies from game to game.I only have experience on pirated Minecraft servers. They don't have any dedicated servers so it relies on the community to set up multiplayer servers. As a result, it is easy to set up multiplayer for pirated users. Minecraft is very basic and anyone with a brain can download the server software of the net, along with some optional third party plugins to spice things up. Once you download the main software, and I’ll never forget this, it's just a matter of going into the code and changing a line of code that said “check with online server:true” to false. So, that's how it works with pirated and un-pirated Minecraft. It will most likely be similar for other games.I must warn you though, for me, the pirated multiplayer servers were sketchy, full of hackers, un-optimized, the administrators did not care much for it, and there were 95% other pirated users. That's the con for playing multiplayer pirated, there are weird people, guys using pirated accounts just to cheat, the server had great amounts of lag, everything was outdated, the community was unengaged. If you want a good experience on any game for that matter, just pay for a real version
